i plow with a western wideout as well that is on a 07 gmc 3/4 truck and plow kicks ass i love the wideouts they are great plows and can withstand some tough shit
no thats the 2007 and up chevy..well the half tons were 2007 i dont think the 2500 and 3500 got the new body style till 2008 because my 07 is the old body style
honestly older trucks...the newer trucks dont carry the plows very well at all and the brand new ones (08-09 and up) have lighter front ends now for better gas milage and you cant pull a full size plow on half tons anymore your best bet will always be a one ton because it will hold up to plowing alot better then a half ton but ideal i would say something in the early 2000's for comfort with a diesel for weight and power
He runs a central hydro system in the bed of his truck. It runs his front and rear plow. The pump that runs his plows is a 13 horse honda. Send him a message and he will let you know more about it.
Nice job dude. You don't waste any time which I'm sure in your business means a lot for the bottom line.
You're pretty consistent with the controls. Nice job!! You wouldn't post these if you didn't want to hear a comment like that every once in a while, lol.
Wish we had even a fraction of that equipment up here with close to 2' of it sitting around.
what kind of contractor are you, are you like landscpae and lawn maintenance during the summer, and snow during the winter, cause thats a lot of accounts for a non snowplow only company. but it seems like you are doing well.
Hey nice equipment, I am upgrading to a 2007 2500 hd diesel, I am debating between a western wideout or a boss v-plow, I am have always used western equipment on my trucks but just need something more up-to-date then all my uni-mounts to keep up with the demands of all my accounts and much more manuverability with the snow when it comes to those tight commercial accounts when you get alot of snow, so you don't have to drag a bobcat with you, how much do one of those back blade plows run with ext
Just the plows and the unit that powers them was over $16k. Worth every single penny. I do about 30 or so of lots the size in the video a night. Get them all done in about 6 hours.
I would consider looking at the Blizzard 8-10 power plow. I currently have one on my superduty and it is the best. I have plowed with straight blades and a v-plow and the blizzard is by far the best. My concern with the truck you are upgrading to is that the plow manufacturers don't like to recommend plows for diesel trucks due to the weight of the engine. So your plow might void your warranty.
I have a SMALL Blizzard plow (just for my rentals, my parents and my drive). nothing commercial.. but I dislike the plow. I've had a lot of problems, especially because of how they designed the hydraulic design. The side to side sucks because it picks up the outside edge. Plus I have to reset the back of the plow after a bump (CLAW style holder). I'm not satisfied. Where in Michigan are you (I'mguessing Michigan (thought I saw a MI PLATE) - I'm in Western Michigan).
.. ITS A GREAT PLOWING JOB Although, what can that plow do, with slow all patted down, by cars driving on top of it.. Thats why ALL your videos show, as if that plow can clean 100% post a video of plowing an area, were cars have been driving on top of snow all day, if then the plow picks all that up, then im convinced, but All honesty, any plow, can clean as good as the 1 in this Video, with fresh snow, no cars running over it!
hows your western plow and any problems with ever? im thinking about getting a western plow either mvp plus or pro plus

In snowplowing 101 you used a Western 'v' plow. Here you are using the wideout. Do you have a preference for one or the other?

MVP for doing drives is great.
WideOut for doing commercial lots.
It's a personal preference. I prefer the WideOut for what I am doing right now. Any Western or Blizzard products are great.
Thanks
