  • Bullets>Skills>Strength

  • Tony Jaa messed him up too

  • The big guy make me like him , he said thank you for saving his life , he gave jetli respect.. that make him big for me , at the beginning I wasn't he's big , now he's big for me

  • @Azkadaz No lol, he said xiexie which is thank you in mandarin, he said it because he saved his life

  • I do like how the big dude finally acknowledges Jet Li as his superior. You can hear him say "Sensei" as he boys.

  • @Azkadaz Sensei is Japanese, Jet Li is Chinese. As Guitar007mt pointed out, it is xie xie.

  • @Azkadaz he says sheishei which means thank you lol not sensei xD

  • Reminds me of Donnie Yen vs that white boxer in Ip man 2.

  • 2:42 Who remembers in DBZ when Goku did that to Racoom. Skill over Strength.

  • Is that Boagrius?

  • that's that the same dude that gets owned by achilles at the beginning of troy.

  • He's greatful that he was saved from getting holes in his head, and he accepts his own defeat. That's good sportsmanship.

  • PLEEEEEAZ someone one with and educated or good response answer me.

IT IS Because of this movie and this scene in particular that i do not want to get humongously buff but instead i want to stay small kinda like jet li or bruce lee...will i still be as strong as the big guy if i do so? what can i do to get extremely cut and not extremely buff?

  • @humanzeez4realz No you will not be as strong. You may be as athletic. Today's MMA athletes that are larger destroy smaller ones. Royce Gracie owned for a while but after athletes adjusted he lost. The more muscle you have, the easier it is to get cut. Being cut is being between 8-12% bodyfat, the more muscle the more cut you will look. I've seen smaller guys at 8% bodyfat and it doesnt look good. I'd advise going for a lean 12% and gaining muscle.

  • @humanzeez4realz - mostly depends on what kind of training do you do, and genetics, do you have more fast/endurance muscle fibers on your muscles or vice versa, also the places where tendons attach to the bones (leverage)

more striking power, more important to develope the nervous system (eg. to release the maximum impact on split second while striking, balance & lots of other things), tendons by stretching and training properly.

In any case, own body weight is enough to do almost everything.

  • I'd also advice to stay away from gyms with those mechanized training machines that have a fixed movement in them. For example if you must do bench presses with weights -If straight hands core body push-ups aren't tough enough ;-) it's best to use handweights, rubber bands etc. when possible so your muscles have to work 100% of the time to keep muscles coordinated (unlike machines that isolates muscles). Also do more reps. rather more like 25-50 fast ones then 6-12.. there's lots of info in YT.

  • @humanzeez4realz

Since it hasn't been mentioned yet, if you are looking to do martial arts, you should be cognizant of your physical limits. Small guys beat big guys using different techniques that do not require huge strength. If Jet Li had gone toe to toe with that hulk, using the same brawling style, this clip would have been 15 seconds long. Jet Li won because of superior AND DIFFERENT skills.

  • "If you find your center, you are suuure, to win!"

  • Bigger isn't better, better is better!

  • i remember wathin this when it came out in theatres. Many people ive asked werent as pleased cuz it was in chinese and not dubbed or even an american film! I WANTED TO RIP THEIR MOUTHS INTO SHREDS FOR MAKING A STUPID REASON x(!!

  • hahaha "xiay xiay"

  • @StrikeFrye well id have too say jet li. first of this fight actually took place, this movie is based on the life of a chinese figther, Huo Yaunjio. It was a britsh wrestler/boxer, Hercules O brian that challenged Huo, the fight was fought on the terms of boxing, the one knocked out loses. in that hercules actually did lose...

  • Like Suge Knight getting knocked the fuck out lol

  • Well put.

However, real wrestling does exist, Greco-Roman, folkstyle, and freestyle all exist as VERY effective combat arts. I think if Jet Li took some wrestling and BJJ, he'd be even better. Doesn't hurt to learn them all, right?

  • Jet Li could takedown this big guy in real life because Martial Arts is real but wresleing is not so Jet Li VS the big wresler Jet Li. i will not rethink this choice this is a factor.

  • I'm curious as to how this fight would go in reality.. hard to say, since it takes place many years ago, according to the movie. However - and this is just my personal opinion - I think the American would have won given he was actually really skilled in wrestling and boxing in a MODERN day match.

I respect what they're trying to portray in this scene, but they really gave the big guy no form and a WWE style of wrestling which is just sad.. what do you guys think?

  • @StrikeFyre The WWE style they gave to the guy isn't "sad." It was fitting for this scene. A huge brute that relies entirely upon strength and the martial artist who relies upon his skill and using his opponents own momentum against them.

And no, I don't think it would make him better considering the extremely long list of styles he already knows.

  • I love how the director depicts the white guy as like this super buff and growling brute.

  • I thought that was butterbean. Lol

  • super strength vs super fighting skills

  • this guy reminds me of zangief from street fighter. he just needs a beard, a mohawk, and chest hair shaped like an upside down christmas tree.

  • at 0:45 i would of just kept squeezing xD

  • I really wished the wrestler played the Juggernaut

  • (in steven segal voice) pretty good china min......

  • Mesmorising...

  • open another tab and load up the song "colder" by charon and then mute the audio on this video and play the other one. thumbs up if u liked it :)

  • damn that white dude is one huge motherfucker

  • @mmaknockdafuckout lol he kinda looks like the other hulk in the newest hulk movie but not green

  • big dude is really tough, ill give him that, escaping joint locks with just strength

  • isn't that the big dude from Troy in the beginning when Achilles jumps and stabs em in the neck and kills him?

  • @mickeythebutcher Yes, that's him. His name is Nathan Jones.

  • its funny how jet li uses the wrestlers own body against him

  • @bejardiego12 Funny as in a fundamental of many martial arts? Suggest you boost vocabulary to clearly define what you want to say.

  • I like how they show Li's superiority, but they don't make the wrestler look COMPLETELY incompetent.

  • @DasDude42 "I like how they show Li's superiority, but they don't make the wrestler look COMPLETELY incompetent" - The wrestler is shown as an animal, pure anger and no discipline. Lee is shown as in control and compassionate. All the Europeans/whites are shown to lack discipline and have no respect for Chinese culture, it's the point of the movie. The whole theme of the movie. His restraint, compassion and ultimately learning for his errors is what makes him better. It's just a morale tale.

  • @DasDude42 yes yes it does.....but its how we asians see white ppl and others....incompetent.

  • WHY THE FUCK R THEY HUGING

  • @amier552 try to take a bear hug from someone like that as a smaller person, see what happens to your ribs

  • perfect example of skill over strength.

  • @Justice782 You know this is a fictional movie right?

  • @agalloway53 You do realize that this is a film based on a real person, and true events? Fucking idiot.

  • @BasementBeginnings Wow, rage!

  • @agalloway53 Sorry, I'm just allergic to stupid people.

  • @Justice782 Well not to burst your bubble, but in the real world strength is dominant 99% of the time. This is a movie. In the real world, that huge wrestler would have smashed the little chinaman. This is a perfect example of movie-making...not of real fighting.

  • @Chris9183 uh, yer totally wrong. power against skill is like an angry child vs a calm adult. maybe YOU think power alone ALWAYS wins but thats just ignorant and a perfect example of brawn pretending to be brains. i dare you to fight someone twice as skilled as you but half yer size. you'll get demolished.

  • That was a heck load of steroids! But it wasnt enough for the gentle fist! whack crunch smack KO.

  • The character portrayed by Jet Li died in 1910, at 42 years old.

    What a pity.

  • 00:55 : Where did he "pinched" the big wrestler ? On the side, right ?

  • @Briselance looked like he really dug in n grabbed his ribs

  • @Briselance Yeah. He put his fingers under Hercule's ribcage, and his thumb into the middle.

  • @Brutaka921 @tsadavid4205000

Outch ... that must f-ing hurt.

  • @Briselance I know right. Puncture lungs, and pancreas.

  • this jones guy is like 7 ft tall and jet li is like 5'7......really big difference:o

  • @hppande

A bit like David and Goliath.

  • This scene showcases both fighter's talents; the wrestlers strength and Li's technique. It also shows that not all white people are sore losers.

  • that big ass wrestler was on wwe a couple years ago

  • yo that is a big ass nigga lol

  • this is why I love different cultures..such great lessons to be learned...

    Fighters who fight with honor...RESPECT.

  • that guy is huge lmao

  • These movies are always racist as hell toward white fighters. It makes it seem like white people are just retarded cave men who run at you and try to strike you with slow stupid ineffective punches. And all the chinese fights, even the ones where he beats up another asian man are all skills vs skills and his opponent has respect and fighting knowledge. What the fuck lol

  • @VikingII the majority of white people were racists during that time

  • @VikingII well back then they had no fighting except brawling. Not in a mean way, but White people used guns and treated other races as if they were shit. All the way up until 1970 to be exact. Sure other races were racists too, but not on a global scale like White People

  • @VikingII because it's true hahahahaha

  • Nathan jones is great. He's fought Jet Li AND Tony Jaa. If only he would have squished Brad Pitt in Troy though. Come to think of it, maybe Nathan Jones would play a good Kratos in a God of War movie adaptation?

  • This is a very good scene from the movie.

  • this is one of my favorite parts of the movie

  • wrestler .... alll that power but no skill or move wut so eveer o3o

  • its good how big and strong ''villains'' always just throw their opponent around... instead of u know.... punching them really hard with their fists

  • @skizle1337

Well, in the storyline, this guy was the American wrestling champ.

  • ...i think i just realized this is the same big guy who fought tony jaa

  • ending is best part

  • BIG WHITE GUY, WAS A EASY FIGHT FOR THE JET....MOTHERFUCKER. JET LI DIDN'T EVEN WANNA HURT THIS DUDE...WHITE MEN BE GETTING HIS ASS, SLAP AROUND, AND GET KICK.........HA . JACK LI WIN...WHITE BOY LOOSE. OH AND ALSO WHITE GUY GET THROWN AROUND EASY....HA

  • @2secquick Hmmm, I'll overlook your not so veiled prejudice, but I will say that it severely hinders you credibility. Also, "Jack Li", as you put it, is a very skilled martial artist, and naturally would have the upper hand over brawn in most instances. But in reality, you can't discount anybodies chances! "Jack Li" struggled to subdue the wrestlers strength here.

  • @Blitzbok Jet li is an actor and a martial artist who has never competed professionally its easy to looked skilled on camera.

  • @lilsm555 You are wrong. You simply assume a belief, sadly I am better informed than you. He was competing with adults at the age of 12!! Winning 15 gold medals and one silver in Wushu Championships. Still just a show pony? LMAO. Stick to Chuck Norris.

  • @Blitzbok LOLOLOL you sound like a tool.

  • @lilsm555 I sound like an educated human being, you on the other hand are a fool of note. Not even going so far as to get your facts straight. But please, do go on and further expose your idiocy...

  • @Blitzbok Idc how many useless trophies you got in useless kung fu. ufc 1 no rules martial art vs martial art kung fu failed.

  • @lilsm555 You don't care? You said he has never competed this is not a proven fighter. I highlight your errant post's failing, and now you don't care? Is not competing against people more than ten years his senior in the Chinese Wushu Championships enough for you? What then is? Or are you simply anti-Jet Li, and nothing will be satisfactory regarding your defiant ignorance? Do enlighten me.

  • @Blitzbok kung fu is not effective end of story a lot of people devote there lives to useless martial arts that only are useful in movies so they defend it because they are in denial. Real fans of combat or even real fighters know the effective fighting styles are. i bet you think bruce lee was the best to but ... eh wtf am i explaining it to a simpleton like you who only watches movies.

  • @lilsm555 The thing is, marines train in martial arts and all those "crap" as you call it. Well all military train in some form of it. AND they arent fake. So yea....

  • @DaFluffyThing No the marines dont train in kung fu you idiot.

  • @DaFluffyThing Marines only use effect martial arts and kung fu not being one of them.

  • @lilsm555 if bruce lee isnt the best fighter in all of history then who the fuck is.

  • @3cufc98 Real fighters like jose aldo, gsp, anderson silva, allister overeem and bada hari etc not an actor who has never competed in any martial arts his whole life except in a film lmfao.

  • @lilsm555 Jet Li was a WU SHU champion, he mastered weapons and shit. GSP and them are MMA, great fighters, but not to take away from jet Li. In fact wasn't Anderson Siva just taught by Steven Segal to do his front kick? Stop hating on them actors, they are people too bro.

  • @cloud218 steven segal did not teach anderson silva the front kick everyone who knows anything about mma called him full of shit anderson just gave him some spot light.

  • @lilsm555 he didn't teach him the move, just how to do it better, kind of like refining it.

  • @cloud218 he didnt teach him anything you are just gullible you fell for it.

  • @lilsm555 oh I forget you were there, it's cool man you think what you want and I will too. No need to go back and forth.

  • @cloud218 lmao smh one day you will understand

  • @3cufc98 Bruce Lee was a great fighter, but more importantly he was a great teacher, he taught Chuck Norris, among some. He still teaches people with his work and he is what made all white people love martial arts to even get them to train in MMA.

  • @cloud218 I totally agree with you there

  • @lilsm555 the teacher and the student determin weather any martial art, kung fu included is effective. any martial art has the potentual to be effective if its taught right and the student has the right mind set, without being bound by what theyre being taught

  • BIG WHITE GUY, WAS A EASY FIGHT FOR THE JET....MOTHERFUCKER. JET LI DIDN'T EVEN WANNA HURT THIS DUDE.

  • RAWR BEAR HUGS.

  • is that the same huge guy from the ending of ong bak?

  • In 1901, Huo responded to a challenge advertised by a wrestler from Russia in Xiyuan Park, Tianjin. The wrestler openly called the Chinese "weak men of the East" as no one accepted his challenge to a fight. The Russian forfeited when Huo accepted his challenge. The Russian told Huo that he was merely putting on a performance in order to make a living and made an apology for his earlier remark in the newspaper

  • @vamtheanomaly

Between 1909 and 1910, Huo traveled to Shanghai twice to accept an open challenge posed by a British boxer Hercules O'Brien. The two of them had arguments over the rules governing such boxing matches and eventually agreed that whoever knocked down his opponent would be the victor. However, O'Brien never fought Huo,opting to leave town instead.

  • if this fight took place historically and i think it was during the right era...he should of been put up against Jack johnson or Jim Corbin and not a strongman/show wrestler it would of been allot dangerous for lee's character

still was epic as hell though

  • 0:08, roid rage

  • Thank you for actually uploading it with the original audio.

  • @Smoit04 yeah, seriously. I dont want to listen to screamo or techno when I watch these,

  • @Smoit04

I LOVE this movie, but I hate the dubbed version and I can't seem to find it anywhre with its original audio (online)

  • 3:17 iwould like to see if he let go cuz the wrestler is all hard and muscle the nails wouldnt hurt him well yeah they would but im just saying

  • that wrestler had more honor than those three Europeans in the early part of the movie

  • @nguyent139 Cause he knew that he saved his life, even though he was trying to hurt Li. Regardless of what kind of person you are a fighter / warrior KNOWS when hes been beat.

  • @nguyent139

He should came in and made it a tag team. XD Imagine him just shitting all over the English boxer dude.

  • @nguyent139 Remember, early in the movie he had no restraint, no honor and certainly lacked discipline. Suggest you understand how and why they used non Chinese to show this. While the Japanese guy comes over as much more respectful and honorable, he still is shown as acting in anger during the fights. Only Li's character is shows in control in his later fights

  • @clearlogicify ok... i'm just saying... don't know why my comment has so many thumbs up either

  • @nguyent139 why does this comment have so many thumbs up?

  • @nguyent139 haha, true, and that Japanese ambassador is a real asshole

  • @nguyent139 cuz he saved his life lol

  • Craig Marduk?

  • @ben4711107 Please don't muddy the awesomeness of this movie by associating it with the fallen king of fighting games.

  • if they made a takken movie he will be a perfect fit for craig marduk

  • @warface11 They did, and it was a disaster. totally murdered the story worse than the later games did! If I were this actor, I'd count myself grateful that I wasn't in it!!

  • white guy steroids; obv not jet li

  • @bclifffootball45 They didnt have steriods at this point in time but if you mean the actor than maybe

  • @lilsm555 the hell they didn't ....and they were worse......

  • steroids lol?

  • Jet Li is so impressive in this movie. I do not practice the Chinese ways, but I can see the fundamentals of many other styles present in his arts, especially Harmony Way in this one.

Respect, from one warrior to another.
