  • At first, they walk in the stage look like dolls

  • Byłam na występie w Katowicach-świetne przeżycie,występowali artyści rosyjscy.....brawo brawo.......brawo...

  • iknow russians are great dancers was fortunate to see them performing the nutcracker, the the pas de quatre think the hungarians did it better

  • Sound's fucked up.

  • One of my absoloute favorite parts!!

  • Someone told me Britney Spears had a similar dance in one of her songs.. Do you guys know if its true????? Thanks.. :D

  • Deffo seen better versions which are much more in sync.

  • Love this !

  • A M A Z I N G !!!! but at 0:35 the girl on the left has GREAT feet, but it seems like she´s not fully on her box?

  • Probably the absolute SMOOTHEST version of this variation in regards to the actual footwork. No note is left hanging without a movement. The transitions between moments are wonderful. I always come back to this video just to see this sheer perfection of choreography.

  • my favourite part!!!

  • прекрасно....

  • Brilliant. Utterly brilliant. Crisply articulate. Lyrical upper torsos. And it projects.

  • ok lets see, releve, petit allegro, arabescue en pointe, pas de chat and i dont know the other moves lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Mitternacht ???

  • Russians are the #1 dancers in the world!

  • @meg3325 yes they are very good but i think french are good too :)

  • i love the dance they also do with ther heds .......beautiful

  • who's dancing/playing?

  • WOW I DIDNT RELIZE HOW MUCH OF A DANCER I WAS UNTIL I FOUND MY SELF NAMING THE STEPS THEY ARE DOING. LOLOLOL i love how they are all together

  • farid bbbbbbannnnnG

  • I love this variation, the music randomly gets stuck in my head.

  • C'est amusant à voir, la danse de cette sorte d' "être à 8 pattes", qui lui-même semble bien prendre bien plaisir à s'ébrouer au rythme de la musique. Gracieux tout cela !

  • I cant help myself but laugh, not in a bad way, im aware of its beauty but its kinda funny >.<

  • i love the movement of their legs it is so cool

  • can you tall me what that song?

  • @alusia1718 - Danse des Signes - Tchaikovsky

  • @marcimail it's Danse des petits cygnes

  • Alle Farben - Danse [Drauf und Dran Remix]

  • This is so beautiful ! I can watch this a billion times!

  • is 'pas de quatre' really the name of the song? i wanna search for it.. :D

  • @maendaa Pas De Quatre means dance between 4 people, not the song. I have no idea what the song is sorry!

  • Beautiful!

  • Bolshoi ballet...j'adore!!!!!!

  • @yuliyamaks wow... do you realize how incredibly stupid that just made you sound?

  • This dance has for me, shown more sadness and despair than any other dance in this ballet. I don't know why but its like the only dance that displays the terror and depression swan face in this ballet, don't ask me why. Vote this if you feel the same

  • beautiful *.*

  • Can't describe how amazing it is ,, wonderful !!!

  • I could be wrong but why in the beginning does it look like the one on the far left isn't getting all the way up on her shoes? It looks like she tried but didn't quite make it maybe?

  • ok...i know nothing of ballet, but i have watched several versions of this Small Swans dance on YouTube.....and these Bolshoi dancers look easily to be the best.

    Am i correct?

  • i am in an irish ballet company and last christmas we did the nutcracker and i was clara. ow tot me that was a big role becouse i was never picked for something like that. soooo now i cant wait to dance in swan lake becouse even if im just a little swan i sooo wanna be in it!!!!!!!!

  • unreal.

  • Magnifico

  • I wanna be a Little Swan one day whenever my company performs Swan Lake again :) It's one of my dream roles along with Clara, Aurora, Odette/Odile, and Giselle :) I know that's a bit much, but everyone has dreams, right?

  • wait a sec, they are either very early, the music is off, or it's just me...

  • when i listen and see this act incredibly i cry, and i don't dance ballet

  • I'm i the only one to find this dance incredibly comical?

  • this was painfull to watch. What are they doing to their feet??

  • got to be one of my favourite parts of swan lake!

  • J'ai rarement vu plus synchro! 84 personnes ont de la merde dans les yeux!

  • :-) tarataratraratata tatata tatata fuifuifuifuuifuiu tatata:-) jejjejeje en encanta la rola

  • @silkenswan I agree with you. I couldn't stop looking at their heads..

  • is the music off like the tempo or is just me

  • @iluvballetyay nope it is very off tempo

  • Uhm, if anything 'Black Swan' brought more attention to ballet and the ballet world. So idk why all of you are bitching.

  • beautiful

  • This needs Lil' Jon somewhere.

    "YEAH, SWAN LAKE".

  • nu escucho :(

  • why cant we enjoy the video and not fight?

  • @ilovedance826 I will never understand why people use youtube as some sort of an arena

  • I love this. Their timing is perfect! there are together and with the music! i wonder how many hours in rehersal this took! Amazing! some of the best dacning ive seen!

  • maybe its my perfectionist character, but when i see this dance in my mind i keep thinking, everything has to be coordinated and together..meaning both the steps and the face turing thingyies xD..anyway i like this version..

  • @BiteOfTwilight That's exactly the same with me! it annoys me how, in the beginning, the far left dancer wasn't facing the same way as the other three, and how in about the middle (sorry, i can't remember when it was) the second right dancer was late with her head turney thing. NO OFFENSE INTENDED to all you haters, i am a perfectionist! i loved it, though. i think ballet is amazing, and i know i could never do that!

  • wasnt this scene in the bed intruder song?

  • @psunny24ify I thought that was in the nutcracker

  • Let's not mention Black Swan period because every time you do, you take a shit on art.

  • @TheSixelar7 All professions suffer in film and television. You don't think Law & Order shows realistic court proceedings, do you? Or that House is how real medicine operates? People watch for the story, not to learn the art. Film depictions are only as good as they have to be for the inexperienced majority. If you wanted to make yourself look like a condescending, pretentious shit, you succeeded.

  • @Ardwynna

So professions should suffer? This ballet was here long before Black Swan and will be around after. In a year, no one will even remember that movie. And if you weren't here to learn the art, why are you here? Seems like your fingers are typing faster than your dumbass mind.

  • the way the lighting reflects the legs WOW

  • Che coordinazione..

    Davvero bravissime *.*

  • ballet is something meaningless to me, however, their moves require more than a decade of study; so they deserve a great amount of respect...

  • This is damn good. Some dumb- but-can-afford-the-most-expensive seats at the Royal Opera House, London, have ALWAYS laughed at it because 1) they are idiots who go to be SEEN at the ballet/opera, and 2) someone once told them it was the equivalent of Shakespeare's 'comic relief' in his tragedies (like the night porter in Macbeth). Does that happen elsewhere? What it does is give the lead a well-earned very short break. Btw, Swan Lake music was composed very quickly as P T needed the money!

  • beauty and perfection.. at its best. :)

  • Beautiful

  • so incredible

  • Best I've seen so far.

  • @lockedinsideursbox the person under me disagrees lol. She said can you ask for synchronization more perfect than that? Lolbut I thought they did a nice job.

  • Se puede pedir una sincronizacion mas perfecta?

  • @kutusovskii the abt version is more together actually. at 1:00 and 1:25ish they arent together. just sayin theyre not perfect.

  • incredible

  • they arent even together....i thought since this was bolshoi i was going to see absolute perfection but they look like they are struggling to keep up and theres no swan like quality to the dance like some other versions on here

  • There is NOTHING like the BOLSHOI!!!!!!!!

  • @crazymangas Tchaikovsky is amazing.

  • i remember this act from Ny Pogodi!

  • Sometimes they dont hit their boxes if u watch closely but otherwise beautiful movement and syncronization!!!

  • So far there's 81 thumbs down here, those folks must have thought they were going to see a clip of Natalie Portman.

  • This is the most amazing ballett I know. Just amazing :oooo

  • Which one is Natalie Portman?

  • @lawlnick black swan? seriously?

why doesnt anyone appreciate REAL ballet anymore? :(

  • can you image if the police tries to arrest one of this girls on the street? It would be impossible. I can image the scene of her jumping like a kangaroo on top ppls read saying QUA QUA QUA

  • who doesn't like this is A COMPLETELY stupid person!!! i'm training this to my ballet show!!! it's going to be amazing

  • this hurts sooo bad. iv taken pointe my whole life and my russian ballet teacher had this drilled in my head since age 9. i can do it in my sleep. swan lake is sooo beautiful<3

  • sarah lane sux!!! portmon did all dance!!!!

  • beautiful

  • Too dark....not good filming

  • Errr, is the music off or is it just me?

  • i love it

  • como nao gostar!?!?

  • I have so much respect for ballerinas. What they do is a beautiful art form that should be exposed to everybody. It is just brilliant.

  • realmnente impresionante te hace emocionar y vivir el ballet a pleno.la mejor representacion que visto del ballet en pas de quatro

  • Your vehement rant can hardly be considered an ''argument'' and your assertion that I'm ''hiding'' because I'm somehow over awed by your argument is absurd...I just have a life! I'm merely giving an opinion on something that is of interest to me but is of no great importance. If you want to go getting your panties in a bunch over such trivial matters, by all means do so...

  • what the muasic of the name?

  • maicol2931ruiz-¡¡¡GRANDIOSO,BELLISIMO,EXTRAORDINARIO,MARAVILLOSO!!!¡¡¡LA PERFECCION EN SU MAS GRANDE EXPRESION MODO EXQUISITO CON QUE EL BOLSHOI NOS TIENE ACOSTUMBRADOS.¡¡¡BRAVO!!!¡¡¡BRAVISIMO!!!

  • WooooooooWW! Perfect, extraordinary!! Beautiful!!!wonderful !!!!, i liked so much!!

  • jaka dokładność, zero pomyłek, wszystko idealnie równo. PIĘKNE!

  • we tried this out in class once...my legs were too long :P i kept tripping over everyone. these guys did a lovely job, it's super hard:)

  • Awesome!!! Ballet should be hounered! I <3 it!

  • A perfeicao existeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!LINDO!!!

  • The Bolshoi shows them how it's done...better than the Kirov, better than anyone else.

  • 81 dislikes?!?!?! Do those people not have a brain??? It was amazing!!

  • <3 beautiful <3

  • The movie made it accessible to the masses and garnered a lot of interest in the art of ballet....all good...unless you're a self important snobbish ingrate!

  • @aprilswan2 the movie didnt make ballet accessible to the masses since the movie doesnt show anything close to being true about it ... and i dont see many people interested in ballet after watching BS, what i see is people happy to post annoying/useless comments such as "thumbs up if you're watching this after BS" or worse : "NP danced better than this girl" [about Marinsky dancers!!!] ...

  • @FyreBalletDancer I'm not saying it depicted the essence of Swan Lake but the movie definately shone a positive light upon ballet ...is this not a good thing? It provoked conversation and interest amongst people who ordinarily would find ballet inaccessible, therefor, hopefully resonating enough so that new generations may well be inspired. As for witless comments...well...I tend to pay more attention to people who have something constructive or informative to say!

  • @aprilswan2 "shone a positive light upon ballet" are you kidding me ??? have you seen the movie ???showing a "professional ballerina" as an anorexic naïve and stupid slut with no personnality, no self-esteam, repressed sexuality and lack of ballet training (for the parts that NP actually did) is defeeenetly not what i call a positiv image sorry

  • @FyreBalletDancer Yeah, you sure are sorry!!! How about removing the tutu from your stuffy obnoxious ass and just relaxing!? Dear god woman...you seem to be exhibiting signs of sexual repression yourself. Go get layed or summink!!!

  • @aprilswan2 looll im very calm but whatever. dont think i didnt realise how u stopped answering becuz u had nothing against that argument, and tried to hide it with empty wannabe insults :)) i hate when people cant admitt when they're wrong

  • @aprilswan2, it's more of a negative light. Swan lake did made people interested in ballet, but reinforce all those negative cliched belief. Ballet does require a lot of energy, and has been compared to American football in terms of athletic requirement. Pointe work is harder because you have to balance on such a small space and have awesome foot muscles, which many do not have including many football players. In fact, some football players practice ballet for stronger muscles.

  • People's intrest to classic art after movies is always so intresting ^^ After Twilight it was Debussy's Clair the Lune, and after Black Swan it was Swan Lake.. I'm wondering what's next. Mozart?

  • THIS IS PERFECTION...!!

  • love ballet!!!!!!

  • My favorite part is from 0:10 to 1:40. Thumbs up if you agree :)

  • I saw Swan Lake a while ago and I'm not an expert but I found it to be poorly executed, and above all, the symmetry was way off sometimes. I'm now looking at some videos from big ballet companies and I see a big difference!!

  • Excellent!! ..wonderful !! Wow!.....no more words!

  • Ballet is not just a dance, it's a beautiful art that has to be shared with the world.

  • who is the girl on stage right?

  • @El10O Wrong. It's not about the movie trust me :)

  • Comment ne peut-on pas aimer ? Expliquez moi.

  • the dancer on the far left seems to be leaning more on the bottom of her toes and not actually the edges...it really irritates me

  • @ntherewas1

I thought the same thing, BUT if it was that way Im sure she wouldnt be chosen for this part. Its a mayor flaw. Maybe it just seems that way.

  • OH MY GODDD <3

  • wow they look likes clones of each other they're so together!!! :)) <3

  • BEAUTIFUL FANTABULOUS. Absolutely marvolous. This makes it hard to believe kids have never heard of Tchaikovsky... :(

  • Tanz der kleinen Schäne (Schwansee op 20), Dance of the little Swans (Swan Sea op 20) by Tschaikowsky. I believe thats the name.

  • Whats is this piece of music called?

  • @shaunmooreokelly I'm not sure of the particular name of the song but it was scored by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Hope this helps a little.

  • probably the most beautiful sport in the world.

it is just composed and so nice to see people move like this. their bodies, their clothes, hearing the music.

  • I love ballet!!!

All looks so easy, but nobody (except you're dancing ballet) can imagine, one figure or one dancing step sometimes stand for months of training...I love it♥ It's such an art!!!!

(Sorry, my nglish is not the best ;) )

  • i came here cos i seen the Bolshoi company perform Swan Lake over the weekend, it was beautiful.

  • Alright this whole "I'm here because of Black Swan" vs. "I'm here because I love ballet" thing is similar to the fight over which is better: the book or the movie of a book. The movie "Black Swan" more than likely doesn't do the book (in this case, the entire art of ballet) justice. However, Black Swan gave the viewers a desire to learn more, so here they are. They aren't people who live and breathe for ballet, but they're better than the ones who watched the movie, and ended their search there.

  • @icannottellyouthat For me it's not that people claim to love ballet from just having seen the movie that's bothering me about black swan, it's that since it came out, i'll search swan lake in an attempt to get a playlist of Tchaikovskys music, and all i get is a playlist of the movie sound track! arggh...

  • @icannottellyouthat and how about i'm here because i like music? much more simple isn't it?

  • perfeito!

  • les humains peuvent arrivé aux sommet du bon gout et de la classe. ce ballet est la preuve

  • This is simply perfect! Love it!

  • one of my favourite dances of all time!

  • c'est tellement beau!

  • Everyone who enjoys ballet will always stare at performances like that of this special part of Swan Lake. Surely, this is an unique coreography ; good ensembles like Bolshoi always exceed our common expectations. Wonderful!

  • @GunCops

Αυτο, ευχαριστως να το παραδεχτω! Δεν ειχα απολυτως κανενα προβλημα με τη ταινια.. ο τροπος που την αντιμετωπιζουν ειναι που μ' εκνευριζει!!

  • simply special!!!

  • Да, Пётр Ильич гений, конечно.

  • @balletfreak430 When I was younger (I'm 15) I used to watch this ballet with my grandfather. It's my favourite becuse of the emotional meaning that it has (I love Walpurgis Natch too but It hasn't got the meaning that swan lake does)

I can't remeber which I used to saw with him. I can't....soo I'm searching through Youtube for an answer. That one was simply perfect. This one is the closest to perfection that I've seen.

I really thank you so so so much. Have a nice day.

  • Black Swan was a great movie imo (you might disagree and that's fair enough) and I think there is such a big craze about it lately in ballet videos on youtube because, just as Aronofsky said, it's a world not very often visited by films. Therefore now that it happened with his film it's marked as a completely new creative territory for film buffs. So dear ballet fans please excuse us while we dive into this new ocean, even if it's for a little while :)

  • @littleplayer89

maybe you should see that most of the people who are interested in the movie are because of Natalie and not ballet... there's more beauty than people can see and that's what bothers me.

Plus that everyone who comes here, comments about BLACK SWAN!!! WHY did they even bother coming here if they wanted to talk about the movie? (not that I don't like black swan, please don't misunderstand me)

  • @ballarinoula95 I agree, ballet is what it is because of its own merit and not because someone decided to make a movie about it. No one cares about the movie except for people who know little to nothing about ballet, people who act as if ballet dancers should be grateful a movie gave them exposure, as if they were done some sort of favor. I don't see anyone giving two shits about Princess Tutu, Red Shoes or Ballet Shoes just to name a few a few ballet movies.
