The waters flat and dead calm, rippling like a silver silk in a slight breeze in a vast body of neutral grays stretching out for miles, where nothing else other than the flat barren rock formations reside. The water as if being eaten, disappearing into into darkened cliffs indents and caves, but then reappearing, branching out into deltas. This song, It's like Lisa Gerrard is the only single being on Earth, yelling out into the dawn of life.

I love the dark sepia tone in the video, with the silver white sun shining through the charcoal gray clouds, the branches of its star slivering through the clouds as they pass in a time lapse, it makes me think of early Earth in its most primitive years, where Earths atmosphere crisp and new. The sky a massive overcast, soon after the great storms that gave birth to the oceans. The air humid, the temperature crisp as if a thunderstorm was enveloping.

yeah, it is different - but that is not surprising, now is it? Videos sound different a lot of times, and this is the type of music that sounds different every single time it is played. So the setup is different, but the melody is still the same.

you're right, this is an another version of "Frontier" which was on a compilation of various 4AD artists, "Lonely is an eyesore".This title is issued of a song of Throwing Muses that is on the record, with also Cocteau Twins, Clan of Xymox, This Mortal Coil and others.

The vocal performance of Lisa Gerrard is quiet amazing there, isn't it?

Precisely. Frontier in this actual form was never released. That version was recorded Live in 1979(!!) the video was made in 1987 and the song re-mixed (adding background vocals and additional production)for the release of Lonely is an Eyesore. There is, however a far more disappointing version of the song on D.C.D. first LP in c.1983.
