  • 5:37 i just yelled out loud when i saw that

  • The kid who finished second has fantastic flow.

  • I REMEMBER THIS! It was like Woodstock '69. There was miles and MILES of mud. All over the place.

  • Yeah, I can tell. :)

I like how they're all covered in mud from the waist down.

  • here in pa the courses are hilly and muddy as hell.

  • watch?v=xQCwHNdkVEo

  • i wonder if mcdonald is in there?

  • emil is a beast to bad his team fell apart at this meet except for luke he did good too the year before he fell at the last turn and did not make it to state

  • how come they dont look like theyr sprinting in the end ?

  • Because, in many races people don't sprint.

They may have gone all out during the race and then had no more energy left. Also, the camera slows it down alot, they may have been sprinting. Look at how fast their stride is, that should tell you.

  • after running the boardman course a few times, it is def. one of the faster courses in ohio. few rolling hills, nothing super tough when it is dry. obviously with those conditions, any cross country course is much much tougher

  • i hate to talk trash but what kind of course was that.. I didnt see a single hill there, it looked like they were just running around their school. And the four wheeler..I know it might not seem like much but that would be a huge advantage for front runners.

  • i ran the course and there are some hills and the four wheeler just tore the course up even more

  • I spectated this race. Hard course especially in those conditions. Hey its XC thats the way its supposed to be. Emil ran 16:30 i think, i could be wrong.

  • omg yeh the weather was soo bad at this race!

  • 5:35 ftw

  • ugh medina... an absolutly terrifying team this year 2007.. They were in our districts and placed 1,2,3,4,8 it was disgusting but trualy an amazing team. Im from North Olmsted and we just made it to regionals... Medina easily has the abiltity to take top 3 in states I gurantee it

  • yup its going to be between toledo st. johns and medina for the state title this year

  • i was there watching too bad i was injured

  • im in long island .. i ran at the 3rd hardest course in the country.. sunken meadow

  • looks like a pretty easy course

  • this race seems so easy compared to the ones here in new mexico

like at manzano..hills, there was mud...all sand at academy

  • no offenese but that team iz a bit slow but its still a great team

  • these times were actually about a minute slower than usual because of the conditions.

  • that is what makes xc so awesome

  • Go MediNA!!

    I love cc.

  • This was at boardman. I run Middle School and I agree. We were doing good but nobody cares.

  • and now, it seems as if xc has been frogotten amoung society . and our xc team at school gets almost no recognition with our wins, even though we won state last year. and i know we put as much or more effort into practicing and dieting than any other sport. what we need is another pre, to go out there, and get the younger society to notice those who wake up at 5:30 mid summer in 105 degree weather to clock in about 8 miles at a 7:30 minute pace.

  • 16:30. But he got 15:10 the next week in state and won.

  • well i dont know much about the state of ohio for XC cuz im from connecticut, but now im assuming ohio is a pretty competitive state for XC

  • hells yeah it is. we rock.

  • is this in the state of ohio? cuz these guys look really fast!!

  • Yes, state of Ohio. Do you mean that you don't expect fast people in Ohio? Or that they must be from Ohio because they are fast?

  • Seriously? Considering the amount of teams it isn't that fast.

  • lol look at their legs

  • Actually, the Regionals were Oct 28, 2006, while the State Championship was the week later, Nov 4, 2006.

  • i run xc for mentor and was at that meet cheering on mentor, along with emil and luke (i only ran jv though :/)

  • i run for ohio in mckinly high i know raf and he know the bulldogs

  • u have to go to semi-state before u go to state so how could he run regionals then run state a week later?

  • your right, states were a while later like 2 or more weeks later. it was awesome. (ps, emil won)

  • "semi sate," wat r u talkin buot? regionals r the playoff to go to state in Ohio, maybe not in ur state. Most of the bad teams and runners r gone aftr district in OH.

  • Nice.

  • was the first place guys time 16:30 or 15:30?

  • It was 16:30, but he didn't get pushed hard and the conditions were horrible. A week later he won the state tournament with a time of 15:16.
