Though im not entirely sure that you can determine race through dna analysis--being that the dna from one race to the next is virtually indistiguishable.from what I understand, dna between a random white person and random black person could be closer in relation than two unrelated white people.im interested in how the scientists investigating greek dna came to the conclusion that greeks are almost pure white.does anyone know the experiments conducted?what findings lead them to that conclusion?

@angelic9889 'pure white' is an exaggeration anyway. In all probability ancient Greeks were 'mediterranean white' so to speak. I myself am rather skeptic as to the 'findings' of suck 'scientists'. How did they conduct their research? What were their criteria? We all hear about 'breakthroughs' but 99% of the time it's just crap. P.S. Yes, DNA is a chaotic jungle, I'll take a look at that project you mentioned.

@Leves79 I agree.people falsify studies all the time.im not impossible for the greeks to be "pure white" but its high improbable.being that agean greece has been exposed to so many different cultures through trade and conquoring by other peoples.its highly likely that they interbred with other nationalities.until the details of this experiment are made public, one can only speculate.

@Leves79 and I looked into the human family tree project again.the first time I heard of it was a few years ago while watching the documentary on nat geo.im not sure if the documentary is misleading or not, but besides the brief reference of the use of anthropology, I cant find mention of geneology or archaeology or any other brach of study besides genetics.im not sure but they may have only used other stdies for the documentary.its still worth checking out though.
