Well, Comet Neat is only a few miles across and won't be back for 37,000 years! However, there is an asteroid that has a 1 in 35 chance of hitting earth in 2027 (ish) when it comes close. As it passes, it could be pulled into a collision course for when it returns around 2036 (ish).

There is however, scientific proof that corroborates the theory of evolution. Have you not seen the half-man half-ape skeletons found all over the world? You could argue they are fake, but it's still more PROOF for the theory of evolution than there is "proof" for creationism.

It will be the end of this existence as we know it, yes, but what follows will be so much better then this life... and he says that everyone will be gone and in heaven (without having to die, mind you, so it's basically the rapture) by the time anything bad happens.
To continue with what He said, "We DIED to sin. How can we go on living in it (i.e. As a regular, deliberate lifestyle), any longer?" See, to Christ & His followers, sin is an abomination unto God. God is so Holy, that He cannot stand sin in any form! Without Christ, there is only condemnation, with Christ, because He was the Ultimate, Perfect sacrifice, there is Salvation & forgiveness for your sins. Does that ring a bell? Hope so! Peace!
Those who don't know Christ (i.e. Those who're unsaved), on the other hand, tend to make it their goal to sin all the time. For them, it's an enjoyable lifestyle (Until they die, go to Hell, & receive a "less than enjoyable" eternity: An eternity of being lit on fire from head to foot!) for DELIBERATELY living this way & rejecting Christ's offer of Eternal Salvation through The Cross. To put in in perspective, Paul once said to his fellow Christians, "Can we go on sinning? By no means!!"
See, His forgiveness doesn't give us a LICENSE to sin, rather it's more or less a BUFFER that's there in case WE DO sin, got that?! If you're truly dead to sin, you're alive in Christ with Him. In other words, even though as a new Christian, you MAY SIN occasionally, it's not something that you DELIBERATELY LIVE OUT as a lifestyle. In other words, as a Christian, I don't wake up in the morning & say to myself, "What sorta sin can I do today?" I don't make it a goal to sin, it just happens.
It also takes repentance & faith. In other words, putting your faith in Christ & TURNING from your sins (He'll help you with that!). Not everybody who asks Christ into their heart has what some might term "a religious experience", but as long as you put your faith & trust in Him, repent & TURN from your sins (Yes, us Christians DO sin, but if you're truly born-again, each time it happens you'll HATE your sin--like Christ does--ask for His forgiveness, & do your best not to do it again.)!
Dude, that's not what I mean: Basically, it means to ask Jesus into your heart. The practice of homosexuality is an abomination unto God. When I say, "Jesus loves you.", it's not in any weird, homosexual way, rather it's as someone who loved you enough to actually give His life for you on a cross 2000 years ago. Someone who STILL loves & cares enough about you to have done that in order to save you from a firey, burning Hell(The punishment that we ALL deserve for our sins.)!
And before you get the wrong idea(i.e. Thinking I'm claiming to be Jesus Himself because I said, "It's AS someone who loved you enough to actually give His life for you on a cross 2000 years ago."), let me correct what I said. What I really should've said was, "I'm TALKING about someone who loved you enough to actually give His life for you on a cross 2000 years ago." Just wanted to clarify that. Me? Jesus?! No way, man! Well, Comet Neat is only a few miles across and won't be back for 37,000 years! However, there is an asteroid that has a 1 in 35 chance of hitting earth in 2027 (ish) when it comes close. As it passes, it could be pulled into a collision course for when it returns around 2036 (ish).

2 things. 1. If a comet hits ANY part of the Earth...well in this case if the NEAT comet hits any place in the Earth (which is almost twice as large as jupiter) we would be toast within seconds. 2. There is however, scientific proof that corroborates the theory of evolution. Have you not seen the half-man half-ape skeletons found all over the world? You could argue they are fake, but it's still more PROOF for the theory of evolution than there is "proof" for creationism.

Unfortunately, the Atlantis catastrophe was caused by material shoved into the solar system by a supernova. An object 90 X the mass of earth destroyed 1 planet, and perturbed the orbits of others. This object caused 3000 volcanoes to erupt simultaneously, a crustal shift on earth, and ancient cities were either drowned, obliterated, or buried under ice sheets. From what I have gathered about thee comet NEAT it is twice the size of Jupiter. Now this is simply what I have gathered, if you have official info that say otherwise, please cite your sources, I would love to learn more, but as far as I know it isn't headed out way again anytime soon, and if it was, as far as I can tell, it would simply pulverize earth, not impact in the ocean.

Actually, I agree with the person on here who said that it's GOD, not us, who's in control (Come to think of it, that's also the title of a Twila Paris song: "God Is In Control".), so our thoughts would have little impact (No pun intended) on whether or not this comet hits. Bottom line: If it hits, it hits, & there's little or nothing we can do about it except repent, turn from our sins, & put our faith & trust in Jesus Christ in the meantime. And above all, pray that God will see us through!

I do not believe in the power of any possible Bible Codes or Profecies to make anything come true. What makes things come true is first of all, Nature, and second, the inner soul of Mankind. Comets have of course hit Earth before, and studies already show that a massive impact has already occurred in the Gul of Mexico, but the NATURAL probability of this happening again (and in the same region!) are truly infinitesimal! So, if such a Bible Code exist, it is COMPLETELY OUT OF REALITY!

with the impact into the east coast since the alantic ocean would the way the impact hit the ocean in a differnt way causing the waves not to just hit the east coast but get up in to the midwestern areas like indiana, ohio. the way the wave looked in deep impact to me it could reached more than just the east coast i am not saying i wish it did. i am looking at a map seeing and thinking on the impact zone. close to cape verde i can possibly see the water coming in to those areas that are one or

If what there saying about 12/21/2012 is true, the only thing that going to matter is clean water, and food. At least lission to those words! I am a believer of the Bible Code, but one thing to remember is God is still in control of everything so be good everyone! Think about it, a black hole powerful enough to pull the very crust to the earth, The pole shifting is the least of our problems.

Don't mean to scare you, dude, but the mega tsunami caused by the impact will also affect ALL coastal areas along the Gulf of Mexico. However,
I just looked at Dallas, TX on Google Maps & YOU SHOULD be far enough inland to AVOID the mega tsunami altogether. Houston(And I've got a friend who lives there, so I'm kinda concerned for her), as well as Galveston Island, however, probably won't fair so good.

See, His forgiveness doesn't give us a LICENSE to sin, rather it's more or less a BUFFER that's there in case WE DO sin, got that?! If you're truly dead to sin, you're alive in Christ with Him. In other words, even though as a new Christian, you MAY SIN occasionally, it's not something that you DELIBERATELY LIVE OUT as a lifestyle. In other words, as a Christian, I don't wake up in the morning & say to myself, "What sorta sin can I do today?" I don't make it a goal to sin, it just happens.

It also takes repentance & faith. In other words, putting your faith in Christ & TURNING from your sins (He'll help you with that!). Not everybody who asks Christ into their heart has what some might term "a religious experience", but as long as you put your faith & trust in Him, repent & TURN from your sins (Yes, us Christians DO sin, but if you're truly born-again, each time it happens you'll HATE your sin--like Christ does--ask for His forgiveness, & do your best not to do it again.)!

Basically, the book of Revelations PREDICTS this happening, & it's either a comet or asteroid impact. It WILL HAPPEN!! And if the Bible Code was as accurate as it was in predicting the Israeli Prime Minister's assassination 3 days before it happened back in 1996, then I'd be listening to what it says about a comet impacting the Earth on 12/21/2012. Because those who follow the Bible Code HAVE FOUND a Code predicting such an event happening on that date encoded into the pages of the Bible.

Okay, I stand corrected, Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated back in 1995, not 1996 as I've previously stated. However, I can tell you that the Bible Code predicting his assassination was still found 3 days before it actually happened, he was warned by the author of the books "The Bible Code" & "The Bible Code 2", didn't heed the warnings, & was still dead 3 days later! I just got the year of his death wrong. My goof!
