Ah, discussion of psychophysics and vibrations of sounds on how it is produced here...FORGET ALL THAT DISCUSSIONS we ARE NOT EINSTEIN or HAWING THEORETICAL PHYSICISTS = just ENJOY the FILIPINA VIRTUOSITY and TECHNICAL PROWESS ...just ENJOY IT ...GREAT POLYPHONY OF EMOTIONS....BRAVO/BRAVA...
Ive heard little of her but she deserves her rep.Fine thinking player who says exactly what she means in Schubert. this is emotional depth .rreally like her.Must see her discography.
Schubert's early symphonies were classical, so his early quartetts and so on, his latter symphonies and almost all his lieder are considered definetely to be romantic, in sum he has works that allow us to "label" him in between the 2 periods, these impromptus from 1827 were composed the year before his death, so they are from the romantic period
I think Schubert was a romantic composer. Obviously he was writing music in the classical period, but I think one of the reasons for his relative lack of popularity during his life, was that he was ahead of his time.
But I agree, it is a more romantic style. Good job Cecile Licad
well, schubert was early romantic. beethoven was the last classical composer, and schubert was the first romantic, so schubert had some classical traits in his music, but he was really a little more romantic.
wow to a Filipino artist!

this was so cooooooly played! emotions were completely on the sound, not on the arm-finger theatrics of lesser performers.

I prefer Jenö Jandó's interpretation.

Very good. Love the lilting interpretation of the main theme. Imaginative. Pleasure to listen to. Makes me want to take a fresh look at the piece.
