  • You look amazing with dark makeup and the jacket with that studded out shoulder pad looks fierce! Love it girl. <333

  • it is a bad idea to glue the edges this way, if i may object.

You better glue the shape on the piece of leather and then cut kind of strips on the 1/2 inch leather remaining around the foam, perpendicularly to the foam edge, from the edge to the foam, every 1/2 inches. this way it will be glued easily when you put it on the inner side and not fold up ( it may need to be glued one on another)

Don't know if i was clear, its a sewing method ( im a fashion designer btw), i hope that helps.

  • @p4ngolin thanks for the tip.. wouldn't the raw edges show up top as well? What do you recommend to cover raw leather edges? Is there a type of glue for that? I'm thinking of cutting my boots =/

  • @anneorshine the comment section is too small for detailed explanation, i sent you a private message.

i forgot to tell that you should use slow process glue that is friendly with plastic and wont make it melt (that way, it'll work with plastic surfaces, synthetic fabric and of course cotton )

If needed dont hesitate to use cloth hanging clips to hold the fabic fold (no needles, they get dirty in the glue and you cannot re-use it after that, and make holes in leather )

    cheers ^^

    ps : i subscribed

  • Omg! I really love this video. I have been trying to look for spikes and studs in my local "Michael's/Joann's in the states but they do not sell them. I heard that there is one place in Los Angeles/Crenshaw but it is super super far. Do you live in the Los Angeles area and do you know (other than Dwntwn LA) that sell them? Thanks for recommendation, I will check out the site for these studs. I also bought some beads to have my own DIY shoulder decorations.

    5 stars for your video!

  • I'm from the opposite side of the states =) i just buy mine from the ebay site provided. That's the best deal that I've found.

  • How creative! You look really amazing with those shoulder spikes_I would just look like a spiny dinosaur. You should use the spikes as self-defense when you go out clubbing_the look will say "don't mess with me or I'll spike you!" lol :) Great job.
