  • As near as I can figure, the "commodore hotel' is slang for the salvation army shelter. It was somewhere downtown, but it's been more than thirty years since I lived in Memphis, so it may not even be there any more.

  • love this song...♥

  • I grew up in Memphis.....but where is the commodore Hotel ? LOL

  • I havethis band twice onec in NC one at the Royal Oak theater in michigan great music.

  • i think she was a beautiful girl..

  • It was always hard to believe Lowell George wasn't really a Southern born boy! Just born in the wrong place I guess!

  • @rosemoonwolf He might as well be one.

  • @211bill He's got the musical soul of one for sure!

  • Niiiice!!!!! what a great song! sure brings back some memories, i dig the fact The Dixie Chicks took their name from this song

  • @bezzarguy ~Love The Dixie Chicks even more now I know this!

  • We claim Little Feat and the Late Lowell George in Louisiana...Sneaking Sally thru the Alley with Lowell and Robert Palmer singing is a good and it was recorded in La. second song after Dixie...Then play Willin for the perfect 3....Lowell man you are on the other side..."Laissez les bons temps rouler".....Cajun Out!!!

  • is lowell standing in a hole in the ground?

    always assumed he was taller

stood next to barrere once was sim height as me ~ 5'10

so lowell george 1/2 ft shorter looks like

a giant of course far as musical artistry goed tho obv

  • growing up in GA some of their music makes me think they were first hillbillies before becoming musicians..it's in the blood and these guys know how to swing every type of pure American music into one ball of energetic fun...love's me some dixieland style, some blues, and a bit o cajun country cowboy rock n roll...no matter the flavor, it's all there. Long live Little Feat!

  • My college roomate freshman year at Wisconsin was a kleptomaniac and liked to steal records. He lifted this album from a record shop in Madison. I'm glad he did. It brings back great memories of freshman year.

  • This song still gives me chills.

  • Lowell George looks handsome clean-shaven.

  • @rayjr62 Hey! You throw in some Doobie Brothers on that deal you offered and you got it! :)

  • @rayjr62 LOL! You can have Charlie Daniels for free! Can't trade you The Allman Brothers or Otis Redding though! :)

  • @211bill They may be from California, but we'll claim em! :)

  • @nashtndawg No you won't. But we can trade. You give us Troy Seals, Charlie Daniels and Alex Chilton, three cases of JD Whiskey. We will give you Little Feat, Eddie Van Halen and we'll throw in some Sourdough French Bread and Cracked Crab from San Francisco.
