It's a tough call. I think Hester could be the best of all time if Lovie Smith wasn't a fuckin idiot and not have Hester return kicks anymore, but since Smith is a dumbass, Cribbs has to be #1. I'm a Bears fan by the way. They are definitely the #1 and #2 kick returners of all time though.

Josh Cribbs is way better then Hester. Cribbs actually breaks tackles and didnt have a good blocking special teams unit for years. JOSH CRIBBS holds the NFL record for most kickoff returns and is closing in on the punt returns for TD's record. Hester had superb blocking, cribbs didnt until this past year (2009). Hester is still good, but Cribbs is a better playmaker and has proven himself to be the better player of the 2.

Of course he is also going to have more return yards as well. That's because he has had so many more attempts. Hester has been playing for the Bears not the Browns where they had to return kickoffs regularly because of how much they sucked.

If you want to go off of average, I say Danieal Manning is the best kickoff returner in the NFL. I would rather have him.
