considering the alfa isint turbocharged and its a car from the 60s and the subaru is a turbocharged modern car i recon that the subaru did pretty shit
As much as i hate to say it, even in their day most alfa's (in standard form) were not outrageously quick compared to other cars. However they do handle much better. And are precisely one million times more fun. Which is why i have 5 of them :D
they were still quick cars my father beat everything on the road v6 cortinas escorts 16v toyotas in his little 1974 2000 gtv and his 84 gtv and the 3.0l gtv6 1984(thats the original carby version from south africa) killed the other v6s and some v8s i still keep up with the modern cars in my alfetta even beat some but yes ur right there not the most powerful cars but still there pretty light and great handling and i dont think many modern cars would make me want them over an old alfa
that alfa is simple,fast and beautiful...
just like a sport car should be...

Think about this:
The Subaru is 4 wheel drive!
The GIulia is rear wheel drive...
The start of a 4 wheel drive subaru is much much better than a rearwheel's car.

The Alfa Romeo would EASILY beat the Impreza. Alfa were designed for speed, Impreza for Rally driving. No car can beat an Alfa Romeo.
