i'm using the same but instead of 5 gun towers using 4 with one laser and the platform before those i added a temporal and inferno in a horizontal down the mid with gunners blocking the far right entrance. By doing that it slows all the units down enough to kill off many easy ones before they even get past platform 3....(@ lvl 13 pretty much most things died between platform 3 and 4 and you don't even need to upgrade as much or build extra towers near the power cores :D

Thanks for the guide, I did exactly what you did in the video and ended up getting 16479 resources and 69204 score. Its interesting that you only used gun towers and none of the other towers.

Great strategy.

I think its cool that we can get by with just the gun towers, but I also think it may be an imbalance in the game. Its something I hope they would do differently with the next game, if any. Perhaps encourage the use of other towers as well... Just IMO

I ended up with 18786 extra resources for a total score of 47511! : D I was really stingy with towers and upgrades. I wouldn't put or upgrade a tower if no targets weren't immidiately going to come in range to give intrest plenty of time to work its mony-making magic. $.$

I didn't place towers or upgrade towers until aliens were coming. I got lots of money because of interest (that's when your money keeps going up even when you're not killing aliens).

You can get a much higher score using the core strategy shown here but cutting out the 5 gun towers at the top right. also cut the 2 gun towers on the middle lower block, and build 2 cannons there instead at the top right part of that particular island, upgrade both to yellow, thats it. Using that you can get 20-21k resources for a 49-50k score

i used this exact strategy except i tweeked the timing of the placement and upgrades of the towers to only do it at the very last second. it took me about 6 attempts but i eventually got over 20k extra resources, a final score of exactly 51,000 and a ranking of 51 on the leader board. 7/29/09
