I like to get DTV's HD package,.but not at a ten dollar extra cost. Not to mention the fact that I would need to signup fro a new 2-year contract for the upgrade.
They claim their all their HD programming is 1080P resolution, but my guess the content is compressed and will not look as good as if you were watching Blu-Ray.
@dcareyHQvideos 1080p for TV is not yet approved by the FCC, 720p is used by ABC, FOX, ESPN, Disney, Nat Geo & A&E. 1080i is used by all other. If DirecTV set up it's boxes as 1080p then 1080i may look shaky (up and down noticable), the only 1080p Dish and DirecTV have is On Demand or PPV
