wow those boats were so raw back then, wood- they nearly sunk when capsized! and I never knew the 18 foot skiff association allowed you to have as much sail back then. some still do like the 12 footer

that is some crazy sailing. i'm not exactly an avid sailor, but i know that those sails are fucking monstrous. idk how they could control those boats, i would probably capsize in a heartbeat.
