  • @urbex2007 24v's do not have rail pressure...thats only found on 03's and up...you seriously need to go back to school and shoot whoever taught you that shit....because I wanted to fall out of my chair because I was laughing so hard at your pathetic excuse to look smart.

  • are u upset how ur exhaust turned out? lol

  • holy shit!!! wat ALL mods?!

  • Dont think this will pass Tier 3 immisions never mind Tier 4

  • how much did these injectors run you and what brand?

  • they are DDP 250hp injectors, contact a DDP dealer for pricing.

  • what kind of injectors were these??? Size and brand?

  • imo i would go with an 8'' mitre bc 1 side would smoke more than the other

  • yea i eventually ditched my dual 6" stacks for a single 7" stack.

  • no not if you do a Y corectly..I have a machine shop so its not hard for me;)

  • Wrong!!!! I do all my own work and a shop taught me a trick. Just take your intake horn bolts and screw them into the top of the injector and pull. Or the actual bolt that comes out of the top of the injector. And yes the average joe can do easily

  • 5" or 6" stacks?

  • these were 6" stacks

  • when u fit high flow injectors to a common rail doesnt it speed up idle speed as ecu will be opening them for same amount of time?

  • What most people like the owner of that vehicle forgot to do was increase the fuel pressure! So the injectors will be no different to standard, they will not spray anymore diesel unless the pressure is turned up. This crude method ruins the fuel pump, fuel rail, then the unused diesel ruins the manifold, turbo, DPF, EGR etc. Please learn how engines work, don't just fall for sales talk that cons a lot of people. SMOKE=BROKE, so get your ECU repaired, it's overfuelling and will damage it.

  • on common rails increasing flow of injectors has the effect of increasing fuelling as flow is in proportion to time open and injectors flow, so for a given opening time more fuel is injected.

it may harm dpf. most mechanics rightly think smoke is a fault but thats only true if it just starts smoking for no good reason, overfueling uses up more% inlet air and penetrates deeper for longer so power is gained.

try it on a non turbo D, when air is at limit overfueling gives more go.

  • @urbex2007 shut the fuck up, you dont have a clue what you are talking about

  • @maddawg0517 why don't you shut your trap because you are a clueless about diesel engines . DO YOU OWN A DIESEL TRUCK IF NOT KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT

  • @liferocknroll

I'm clueless about diesel engines? is that why I built my own truck (without the help of any shops) and it makes over 700hp on fuel and has laid down 1191hp on nitrous? I know what I am talking about here.

  • @maddawg0517 you are clueless about diesels do you own one if not get a better life otherwise making complaints like you are you think that you can talk like a little school girl with your poor choice of words what would your momma think about that.

  • @liferocknroll

The truck in this video is mine, I have owned it for 6 years. My momma don't give a shit what I say to idiots online because I am not a little kid running my mouth like you.

  • @urbex2007 You need to do some research. Over fueling will not hurt a thing as long as you keep an eye on lift pump pressure and egt's. You can blow as much smoke as you want and it will not effect anything. You just get more power and less milage. I believe this pick up is also a direct injection so there is no fuel rail. I think 2002 was the last year of direct injection.

  • @urbex2007 diff injectors have diff spray patteren and holes. so fuel pressure will not make the spray less or more diesel. the ip makes the same amount of pressure no matter wat. if u got a fuel pressure gauge the pressure u read is before the ip. not while its in it. it is good to have the fuel pressure so that the new injectors dont run the ip dry.

  • @urbex2007 you need to learn your shit man...for starters there is no emissions garbage to fuck up on this truck so you're wrong about that and then you go on to say he needs his ecu repaired...kinda funny since this is a mechanically injected p-pump 24v motor aka no computer for fueling

  • i dont care what year 24v you have. i work on cummins all day and every day, it my job. there is a tool to do it but you can use just a plain flat head to pop them right out.

  • There are special tools to pull the connector tube and also the injectors out, but a flat head screwdriver and a pair of needle nose pliers work just fine.

I'm sure "by the book" it says to use those tools, and I'm sure it makes it easier, but it's not too hard.

The injector setup is the same from 98.5-02, so your 02 doesn't have anything special that any other 2nd gen 24v doesn't have.

  • WHAT?

They are easy to change out. Just need a decent set of hand tools that's all. No special tools needed. It takes a bit of time since the valve cover comes off and you have to remove the air intake tubing, loosen the injector lines, etc but it's not bad. Something the average Joe can do on a Saturday without problems.

  • What injectors do u have?

  • thats fucken crazy i gotta 04 5.9 and the new 6.7 megacab larmie. i wanna 12 v or a n older 24v also lol

  • how hard would it be to change injectors yourself having only general knowledge on a cummins (2001 24v)engine?....nice truck by the way...i like

  • how much it cost to do somthing like that to a dodge ?

  • depends get some nice injectors for about 1000 or so then put some stacks on there for another 800 or so but it really all depends on what your trying to do but it can be extremely expensive depending power levels your trying to make

  • all i want is it to puff out of one stack but a lot of black smoke

  • bad ass truck dude

  • dude that is a sick truck especially with the stacks!! I'm thinking about putting some on mine but I just worry about rain and debree getting in there. Do you have any problems with that?

  • rebelpuller here, idon't own the truck in the vid but, if your worried about rain and debree getting in your stack(s) go wtih a turn out style. if you like the slash cuts put coffe cans over the stacks at night other than that with a good flow of exhaust debree will blow out.

  • Don't forget about clappers (rain caps, whatever) Some ppl think they are cool, and some think they are the worst thing ever...

  • rain flappers make too much noise when your idling.

  • dodn't worry bout that i've had my stacks on for bouth a year now and i've had no problems at all never have covered them... the rain would have to go up your down pipe b4 it would do any damage and what ever is in it will blow out the second you start it

  • hope u got some tranny upgrades

  • Hey i got a question how do the injectors effect the amount of smoke? wat kind would u recommend for a lot of smoke?

  • Its a 24v with custom injectors from DDP, they are in the range of 250hp+

  • Sounds like a 24v

  • Hey man, that's pretty sweet. Is it a 12V or 24V? What size of injectors did you go with?
