  • Hi Pascal, what a wonderful tune. I had to hear several times, there are some strings in there. First I thought the strings were only in my imagination (those things happen sometimes, but only in music;-)). Wonderful done.

    Best to you, Frank

P.S. I often watch the "older" videos.....;-))

  • That was beautiful. I cried.

  • Wonderful, very nice.

    good job.

    5 stars.

  • Great , Pascal!

    Evica

  • What guitar do you use? This sounds wonderful!

  • I think he uses an Alhambra A Luthier, with a spruce top. Then again, I may be mistaken :p

  • correct

  • all info on my guitar on main page.

  • Creo que ya sobran los comentarios. 5 estrellas Pascal. No dejes de colgar videos. Un saludo.

  • great pascal

  • Wonderful, Pascal! Another amazing fingerstyle guitarist/composer, Pietro Nobile. Love his talent for beautiful melodies. Fine cover, as usual.

  • Also more then ***** stars.

  • Really nice! I love the strings. Not sure how your doing that but it is really fits well. Thanks for posting!

  • You could use software such as Reason, Fruity Loops etc. It would further make editing easier if you had a midi pickup, as you can record directly to the editor :) Good job!

  • Hi Pascal...so where did these strings come from? Is it what I first sent?

  • hi mate,

I am on a busnes trip , will be back on Friday, so hang on, I will write you ASAP

  • Great Pascal!!! Congratulations!!!!!1 Your friend Pacofdl

  • You didn't butcher it very well. Nope. It sounds fine. Go work on the butchering. *subscribes*

  • sweet!

  • Bonjour Pascal,

Belle ambiance magique distillée par ce morceau.

Je ne connaissais pas la musique de PIETRO Nobile.

    Très estimable.

    Merci pour cette découverte

    Patrice

  • Simply beautiful!!!

    Martin

  • How enjoy your playing so much ... I look forward to your postings ... such a "touch" ... hey one thought ... could you possibly get more light on your video set up ... I would like to be able see those hands and positions better ... great job ... and thank you again for sharing your gift ...

    Don ...

  • Salut Pascal, ce n'est pas trop ce que j'écoute, mais le son, l'interprétation, le jeu émotionel sont toujours là... A quand un peu de Metheny ?

  • Great playing! Very "felt". Thanks for posting!

    Best,

    Jolina

  • You do not play only very beautiful, you also play with an extraordinaire feeling!

    Thanks Pascal !

    warm regards,

    vreci

  • Thanks Wolfgang, I feel blessed having a friend like you :-)

    Pascal

  • Another wonderful song Pascal. Music that transcends just the guitar. You've introduced me to some great new musicians, thanks.

  • Its remarkable how many great fingerstyle guitarists we have today comming from Asia. Masaaki is one, but there are many others that are worth listening to.

    Thanks for your kind words,

    Pascal

  • ahh the late night music usually only heard inside just 4 walls..Thats always a time for me when improvising and playing seems to temporarily exceed my current skill level. Thats a beautiful song and bits of it sound familiar like chords that have come and gone in wee night hours previous..Great that you shared this one. If i didn't have such a large backlog of songs to learn I would ask about tab soo maybe down the road. I,m gearing up to do some songs in DADGAD next *finally* cheers Steve

  • Hi Steve. Nice comment!

You will be able to find the tab "For free" at Pietro's Nobile site. just google. Its rather easy (oh well) but an absolute pleasure to play. Ones you know the tune, ones your fingers memorised the bits and pieces...you are carried away straight into the Italian hills...a real blessing to play: give it a shot, I know you'll love it!

    Pascal

  • Pascal, I closed my eyes and dreamed away. Where do you always find such wonderful songs? That's what I like most in guitar playing. Very tasty, this string inputs in this arrangement. You play superb as always (5*). Thanks for sharing all this wonderful music, Bernd.

  • Many many thanks Bernd. Make sure you watch my latest video. I got it up here as a video responds. I hope you'll like it?

  • I love your choice in music. I hope one day I'll be able to play finger style as well as you. I can play with a pick and my fingers... but this limits my index finger. Do you have any techniques you use or perhaps any online resources I could take a gander at?

  • The best advise I can give you is to subscribe to Stefan Grosmann's page ( GtrWorkShp ). I was 15 yrs when I discovered him so he had a huge impact on me: he is a phenomenal guitar pedagogue AND a brilliant player. Have funn, with my blessings!!

    Pascal.

  • Wonderful playing. Very emotional. I like it.

  • hallo, very very nice song and interpretation...

  • Pascal this is excellent. You are really romantic(like me). Keep sharing all these beautifull melodies, your friend George.

  • Hello George,

make sure you dont miss my latest Masaaki. Posted as well yesterday. I've attached it here above. I know its the kind of stuff you like...

    Your friend,

    Pascal

  • Bravo Pascal .... gran tema

  • I was about to post the same song...

    Haha... you preceeded me!! :-)

I will do it when I am back to Shanghai.

Btw, can I ask how did you add the string background ?

In real-time or dubbed later on ?

  • ;-)

Dont tell Nobile, but I took the string part from the original, the tricky part was to make his guitar sound very discreet, as he plays (for once) a nylon guitar. Alas, ones posted on youtube here, it did not come out as well as I planned, but the main idea is there. If you need any help, let me know, ok?

Thanks for your eternal stars, my friend. Btw, what do you do in Shangai???

  • Indeed, I think it is very well played.

I work in the micro-electronic field. But now I am in Italy to ski, something that I can't do in China... at least, there is no place there that even barely look like our Dolomiti mountains :-)

  • Hello, Pascal! my friend!

    beautiful!!!! another awesome piece!

  • I was having a stressful day, but I feel inspired after listining to this. Thank you so much for another beautiful piece

  • i like all your work :) looks so easy when you do it

  • Lovely! Another great performance by a truly amazing guitarist. Self-taught....incredible!!

  • Hi, Pascal!

You're one of my faves at the Youtube-Community!

How did you do it with these strings. Automatically after a time?

    However, it's a nice peace!

    Best regards!

    Wolle

  • complimentissimi!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    grandiosa esecuzione

  • Fasntástico tema, Pascal. Tú intimista, emocionado y emocionante, como siempre. Siempre transmites una gran expresividad a los temas, se nota que tocas y subes solo lo que te gusta mucho. Sigue, sigue...

  • Hi Pascal,

    Great addition to your collection!

I have to figure out how to "Play all" so I can work and listen without the need to click play for each piece.

Do you plan to publish any personal creations? I am sure that MySpace has room for you!

Also, are you subscribed to rpoland? Looks like a great site to be associated with...

    Keep publishing!!!

    Regards,

  • Very well played!

    This is wonderful song.

    5* from me

  • Another new one to me. You are opening doors for some great artists. Great to be able find such wonderful music from all over the world.

  • Lovely piece of music and so well played.

  • Well played.

  • Well thank you!

  • Who is the Nightfly called here, YOU???? hihi. Well, fortunately we know how you look, Pascal, that is quite okay, haha. Can understand you love this piece of music, it has all harmonics in it, and so peacefully. And I can't help, but I love your guitar(sound), it has such a warm embracing sound and reaches so far. Thank you for sharing this! Roeleke

  • ah ok, i forgot ;-) hm, an AER amp..pretty expensive, but well worth the money as i heared. i think about buying one myself.

  • Yes, but for this recording I do NOT use my AER! simply I plug in my guitar to the laptop, and I use a software called "MusicMaker" (60€'s!) thats fantasic. Hope this helps..!

  • yes, first to comment: that gives you a 50% discount on ALL my next videos, lol.

Indeed, strangest of titles...whish I knew what inspired the Man to this¿?¿?

    Regards, and again, thanks!
