Its not there on purpose but i didnt use a knife or nothing it just came loose when i played around with it so its all good but he is a good figure cant to wait to get his counter part and there paris verisons

Yeah I bought Storm Shadow today, mine had the left hand closed, cut it as well. So now I have him posed with both swords in hand and his gun in it's holster.

I think those gigantic missle launchers and things are proabbly like souveniers. They probably aren't meant to play with but as like something extra that they include in the packages for you to keep. I guess sort of like if you had a Chinese soldier toy, maybe someone would include a big Chinese flag and you just lay it by the standing figure.

Thanks very much for the tip on cutting the left hands thumb and finger joint, now my SS can hold pretty much everything he comes with, except the oversized star launcher.

Just look at the cannon from the shorter side of the scope and at the end u will see a hole a little infront of the launchers handle.

stick the nanite into the hole via the small end on the Nanite. then place the launcher into SS's hand with the Nanite facing forwards then u have SS holding the Launcher the Right way. ( should be held like an RPG)

He uses it in the movie.

You can hold the rifle actually any way you want. The Hasbro website has the figure action in the action toy arena. The arena has SS holding the rifle with the nanite facing back. Pretty cool feature

My figures hand was fine. he is a great figure...the skirt/ coat tails could have been better but I really like the figure.

Even if I could afford it, I wouldn't buy any of the vehicles/aircraft. They just aren't as cool as the old school toys.

That's the traditional size of G.I Joes (at least since the early 80's).

I like the detail of this figure. I bought him the other day. If you notice on the rifle, the back 3nd has a hole in it to stick the nanite cannister into it. It looks pretty neat with the attachment. I think I'm getting a sense of how cool this movie will be.

I'm still debating as to whether I should buy any of these figures or not. They are tempting, but I may wait to see if the film is any good. (I'm not expecting The Dark Knight, but I hope it is at least entertaining and captures the spirit of the 80's cartoon/comic.)
