On the season 3 DVD commentary they tell that the guy in the cabin in season 3 was the prop master Rob Kyker. Google him and you'll see the resemblance. It was his eye, too. Well that's not telling anything about which character it actually was, but Rob Kyker was portraying him.

Is Arron Jacob? He was born in the future but went back in time?(way back in time) took over the island, then made sure the events of his birth took place my touching the ocianic 6 in the future, insuring his existence.

Maybe this is why jacob's nemesis (black clothed dude) wants to kill him, and finds a way to get to him in the future through the loop hole. I dunno....
