@dughymen Amnesia is really scary but not necessarily scarier, in Amnesia theres hardly ever more than 1 enemy in a general vicinity whereas in Cthulhu during the unarmed sequences it's way more numerous. Evading enemies is easier in Amnesia as there are reliable tactics, whereas in Cthulhu stealth and evasion have a chance at failure which gives a greater sense of insecurity and hesitation. With Amnesia, most the enemy discovery of a hiding place is a bluff, with Cthulhu it's real.

This game got me stuck in the computer and didn't rest until i finished. It's THAT good. Pure and raw horror for those who which to experience pure adrenalin and an incredible story.

Lovecraft is the opposite of Hollywood horror, based on a juvenile manichaeism and childish sensations, like the Frankenstein or the Dracula from Paramont and Twenty Fox Century productions...

He gave us the real horror, the horror that you cannot flee. In the concept of his art (but not necessarily of himself), reality and high sciences (biology, astronomy, physical science, archaeology...) just confirmed the pessimism, according to what we are meaningless and in inconceivable dangers.

NosufurAtu, I you like playing non weapon, try Penumbra: Black Plague. It ain't as scary as CoC, but damn both Penumbra and CoC are scary as fuck!! Lights off, volume high as hell, awesum.

You are an idiot. CoC is much more than a "horror game". Dead Space and Fear are just glorified shooters, not horror games, and even as shooters, they really weren't very good. CoC leaves much more lasting impressions than either of the aforementioned pieces of shit.

I wish you didn't get any weapons for the entire game except a knife or crowbar so you didn't fight people at all because that would be scary and terrifying when faced with a monster of any kind!

Amnesia "the dark descent" 100% of the game you hav e no weapons.... only thing you can do to not get killed is hide in the darkness and get off enemies sight but the thing is if you stay in darkness to long your sanity goes out (you drive insane) making you even more vulnerable to enemies you shoul play it if you din't already :)
