I just finished giving a presentation on National Security Vs Privacy. This ties right in to the ideas I spoke on. It is extremely unfortunate that things have gotten so far from the original intent of the founding fathers.
This nation was founded on some great ideas. It is most unfortunate that we continue to experience examples of the fact that the original ideas are susceptible to corruption. No system of government in human history has succeeded in my opinion, is that thoughtcrime?

You have point. However, please take note that the bill of rights was composed over 200 years ago. There did not yet exist technologies such as telephones, emails or text messages. Those who interpret these words as having a spirit of ethics, freedom and privacy have understood the intent of the founders of the United States. Those who cite lack of mention of said technologies hold the same mindset of the tyrants those founding fathers sought to free themselves and others from.

All the government has to do is scream that we need security, and look how fast the People's representatives are so willing to give up their liberty. This lesson should still be fresh in our minds from the Reichstag Fire but it's not. History will repeat itself.

As long as they think they work for corporations, (who they get most of their campaign money from) and Fed Reserve bankers instead of the people, they will continue to cow down to them. What can we do? vote them ALL out.
