battlefield 3 isnt being ported its being developed equally on both computer and console. they wanna stay true to their pc fans and give the console players a decent game as well. its not gonna be just some craptastic port.
...they could even do a game where you pick the generation/time you play in!! 1942/2 & 2142 in one!!! that'd get people playing!!!! - they have such shortsightedness!!! cam't wait til i'm rich and can strat a rival firm up and blow them out the water, lol
yeah, problem is they are making it a console game so the PC port will suck.
Look at how few players and regenerating health etc, gonna be a poor excuse of a follow up by the look of it unfortunately.
They could do so much more,sigh!
If only they did a BF2 style game with pay as you play(per hour etc)and while we were playing they gave us something back like new maps that get rated after being played so the crap ones don't come up very often, and basically updated it to justify the money
they really need to remake this game with a more modern gaming engine, the planes etc were the dogs!! All the air vehicles in later games were never as good....

unfortunately the more i hear it being a console based game, ported to PC, makes me cringe as the history of games made this way are usually not the most playable games. PC's are unique for a reason, some games have to be released aimed at that platform to be good. Consoles are good and getting better but good pc's tech is way more capable.

they are making a new one called BattleField Heroes. This will be out in Summer 2008.
