Peritonitis Can Be Avoided Keep Your Pets!

This is a bit over the top, as long as you keep pets away from where you dialyse and don't walk about twirling your open tube around the house you should be fine. I did PD for 2 1/2 years and never got an infection. I did not follow all these procedures. Use your common sense people. The most common way to get an infection is by touching the end of your connection.

Excellent video. It shows that you can do PD, remain free of infections and peritonitis, and still keep all your pets. I am a PD patient with 3 dogs and 3 cats. I did not give up a single pet when I started PD. I have never had peritonitis. And I highly second the recommendation for the Patients Pride PD bands. That is what I've used and they have really been terrific. I am in no way affiliated with the company or Ms. Shaw and am just recommending them as a patient.
