There is no evidence that the actor portrayal was exactly how Troy Anderson acted upon learning he was in large part responsible for 24 or so deaths. It would also be a natural reaction to deflect the suggestion at first. Your mind won't accept that immediately.

This is so tragic. There was no one here with any criminal intent. No one here knowingly did anything wrong. There was just a series of very small mistakes that taken together led to this failure. I'm sure the inspector guy just thought "I am doing awesome, I have some extra time, so I'm going to jump in and help" He meant well. He's probably a good guy. Everyone meant well. Yet, 24 people are dead.

@ThePilot1598 They didn't - this is the usual US/Canada narrator. The British narrator is used in the UK/Aus/NZ territories. You can hear examples of both dubbings on YouTube.

The show's Canadian, and the other countries just replace the narrarator with regional actors, hence the British version having a a British voice, etc. Persoanlly, I like thus guy in a sort of story-teller kind of way. Also, other countries call this show Air Crash Investigation whereas over here (Canada) the original title is just "Mayday"
