I completely disagree with the idea of the pacing being off. I think it really helps with establishing the woman as the "docile housewife," which makes it so much better when the reality is unveiled.

I really like the concept, but the pacing is off. The thirty seconds of egg-scrambling is dull. I'm not sure what you were going for artistically, but I think if you spend less time focused on making the breakfast and more on the interaction between the characters, it will make for a more dramatic moment when the wife returns early. This is all very subjective, but I think with your talent you are capable of creating a much deeper dynamic between the characters in the limited time you have.
