No wind turbine produces more than 30% of its expected output, also reliability is poor and maintainance costs are high. On top of this the average windspeed in uk is only 12mph, that is some 3mph less than required to get anything back from these turbines. If a turbine was built near my village I would expect we should get cheap electricity but this would never happen.
