@eckfloor SO MUCH CONTROL. you've got the bindings which helps so much. at first it's hard but you get the hang of it. stopping is no problem if you know how. if you can't stop abruptly, you can always slide to slow down. hope it helps, if you have any questions message me.

Nice i love board sports surfing, skateboarding, ripstick ,carveboard Going snowboarding for first time next jan so the freebord should have me prepared for it. lol... sliding standing up is MUCH harder than with your hands in the ground on a longboard. I've managed to do it ONCE on my Dervish(Orangatang 4 president wheels). WIth sliding gloves you can do it all day long, it just looks weird imo...

i've never freeborded but i like the speed that i have from longboarding. im not bashing freebords but to me they seem more like a snowboarding on land (duh, its what they're made for). i wouldn't mind trying one but i feel as though it would be restricting because of the need for slight hills or sidewalks(jumping and shizz that i've seen) so yeah longboarding =/= freebording

Btw I skate, surf, snowboard and mountainboard. I had a go on a freeboard about 5 years ago at an event. Personally I think my cut-down Scrub ATB deck with carve stick trucks rides more like a snowboard and it slides like a bitch. And I can push between spots too.

if you mean what is diffrent about the board. there is a third weel on the trick that is a free spening weel. it is slitly lower then the two out side weels making it so you have to shift from soide to side. kinda like shifting edges on a snowboard.
