  • and here i was wasting all my ammunition. thanks for the instructions.

  • This is just as boring as the last, go wrench only like the actual interesting people on youtube. or do brass balls or something. Ohhh i forgot your on pc where u dont have to do nothing hard.

  • My mistake, not the cheapest, but quick and safe!

  • I just pump 4 electro bucks into it's face (admittedly on easy) but it is the cheapest and most-epic-fail-est tactic!

  • hahahaha there all so jealouse ..... that was cool nice

  • People who think this is fake have never played the game.

  • FAKE

  • @trypod53 lol this whole game is based off a man going to the bottom of the sea to get away from idiots like you

  • Comment removed

  • The Ol-one two at its greatest,you sir,are a genius.

  • Never Forget! The One-Two Punch!

  • nice 1

  • funny how no one reads the description yet call him a hacker.

  • video description = win

  • damnnn bro, i came to youtube to watch videos, not read an essay long description LOL

  • ur eve runs out and u dont hav to refill????i'd say HACKED!!!!!!

  • @BioshockFan164 You call yourself a BioshockFan and you don't know about the Bloodlust Tonic? Read the video description. This entire strategy is laid out in full, and makes perfect sense.

  • @BioshockFan164

you're an idiot. don't comment on stuff when you clearly have no clue what you're on about.

  • Great video, don't listen to the stupid fools who accuse you of hacking. They're probably the same idiots who just wanted an FPS with eye candy and run around Rapture on easy, kill Big Daddies with a load of electric gel and then pat themselves on the back for their own cleverness.

  • If you guys notice you can see everytime he hits with the wrench he gets more eve T__T

Btw nice strategy i'll make sure to try it thx :D

  • lok how his eve went to zero and staid there as he bolted

  • I can kill a big daddy with the camera

  • lol

  • There's a pool of water just behind that big daddy, could have made the killing a lot faster.

  • bullshit. no way a wrench is draining his energy that much. nice try

  • You are stupid.. aren't you? Don't answer that, might drop my IQ. Why not look at the damn details section. Then, if you even have the game, go try it yourself before being a twink by posting stupid shit that calls some person a liar, or something along those lines.

  • look closer and you'll see that every time he hits the evo gauge goes up a little... its bloodlust and he even mentions that in the details section.

and he stopped his character from auto using the hypo by switching back to wench so that the next wrench hit would gain enough hypo to use the plasmid again.... not "cheats" at all. Not a awesome build for other parts of the game necessarily but bioshock is easy enough regardless of difficulty so it works outside of big daddies.

  • that is hacks or cheating because his bar doesnt go down how did you do that

  • even tho u just buffed yourself with tonics im not gonna lie tht was cool XD

  • Comment removed

  • well played

  • For all u who dont know theres a tonic that drains health and adam from enemie's everytime you hit them with a wrench so he probably used wrench jockey 1 and 2 plus bloodlust 1 and 2.

  • That is very clever. I haven't actually played this game, but it looks like it could be a lot of fun to play around with the bonuses and abilities.

  • You rule I can't even do that :)

  • Rofl

  • WTF the EVE was empty and you still used it

  • Comment removed

  • Hell yea, im not the only one that noticed that. Not only that but when he uses the syringe to fill it nothing happens.

  • Thats because he switched back to the wrench...

    People are smart! ;D

  • no.

  • i'm just wondering something............. why do they put diffuculty settings in this game anyway if we *KNEW* we're going to level up, doesn't make sense to me, the games awesome but also short

  • You know, it really really really does look like a hack. But it makes perfect sense after a quick look at the description. I thought I was the only person who still used the wrench more than any of my other guns. Apparently not. :D

Very good idea, and it's interesting to know that tonics stack...

  • THAT,was amazing!!

  • I put proximity mines on a corpse and telekenisis it into the big daddy. Fun!

  • Wow, I haven't thought about that... Ima try it :D

  • I read your method, and I must commend that, it's fuckining brilliant. I never used bloodlust, didn't seem practical, but you just changed that for me, I CAN SAVE BULLETS!!!

  • this works on survivor but it's not as safe and uses up eve hypos. (you have to run away a few times)

  • This is cool but Trap Bolt method is more fun. Also Trap Bolts are incredibly easy to make so it's not a big deal if you use them.

  • Dude this is the smartest way to kill a big daddy, but i still like the fliyn big daddy with the grenade launcher >=D

    ITS MORE FUNNY!!

  • Everytime I try this the bloody thing shoots me as soon as I hit it... I wack from a distance and have both sportsboosts equipped.. Getting really pissed off

    Good strategy though

  • this video is fucking win! never would have thought that I could kill a big daddy THAT fast with that combination tonics and plasmids

  • Accusing someone of being a hacker because they can't read plain English = PRICELESS

    READ THE VIDEO DESCRIPTION!

I wrote it for a reason, and that's why YouTube has them in the first place.

The video can not explain everything I have equipped, such as Bloodlust, a tonic that gives you back a tiny sliver of Eve and Health with every wrench hit.

Get it? If you would READ instead of being lazy, you wouldn't need to accuse me of something that isn't true.

  • @Kurozuguchi hey this was a great vid man it helped me alot THX!!

  • Or you can just use alot of trap bolts. you fail.

  • Perhaps I think you "fail" for using trap bolts...

#1: This method requires no resources (no Health Kits, no Eve Hypos, no Ammunition).

#2: On top of all that, this method is likely FASTER than the Trap Bolt method. Even if the Trap Bolts kill the Big Daddy almost instantly, you have to add set up time into the equation. You aren't you blowing the Big Daddy up instantly, you have to set those traps.

  • @Kurozuguchi My brother was using my account. I don't know why he called you fail, that was a fast kill.

  • i think you are the one who failed. lol

  • @Kirkpad and the point of the video is to show how to kill a big daddy with a wrench and electric bolt. if he was gonna us trap bolts it would have been in the title.

  • Genius!!! Thanks a ton :)

  • Dudes! THIS ACTUALLY WORKS! I'VE SAVED ALL THE LITTLE SISTERS NEAR THE ENDING OF THE GAME. Sucks I still got the bad ending for abandoning them in the beginning.

  • if u dont find some of them do u still get the bad ending?

  • Uh, no. You would be wise to read the video description before everyone assumes you are just illiterate trailer trash.

If you are capable of reading English, check it out, that's why it's there.

  • BloodLust - This tonic gives you a small amount of Health and Eve when you do damage with the wrench.

Even if you have very small amount of eve you can use one of the plasmids so with each of his wrench hits he got a small ammount of eve which he used to eletricute the big daddy.

    Get it?

  • Did you use all those tonics for the rest of your hard playthrough or did you swap them out just to fight the big daddy?

  • nooo mr bubbles! ohh time for sleep mr b

  • wow wat a great way to kill big daddies!

it's funny how your first weapon is also the most powerful weapon with the proper upgrades

  • Maybe you could have cut down on a few seconds if you didn't move backwards and forwards while doing this? Just a suggestion, maybe improve your time.

  • Had to move backwards to avoid the counter attacks from the Big Daddy. I'm moving backwards and forward fast because of the SportBoost Tonics.

  • maybe less steps then. I haven't played the game in a while but i remember the rosie's melee range wasn't that long.

  • you can use your plasmids as long as there is even a little smidge of eve in your bar, so by having blood lust you use the wrench and get that small amount to abuse the cycle, if your quick enough that is.

  • wow. this is pretty awesome!

  • nice dude

  • You don't really cripple yourself since you can go through the whole game with wrench and electric bolt...

  • Go play pokemon then, its hard man waste around 500 hours catching all pokemons and collecting them from trading with other little 10 year olds who still play also get em up to 200! YAYYYY!!!!

  • plasmid he's talkin about is *blood lust* and NO it doesn't work THAT well, remember this is the PC version, only way codes were possible for this game unfortunately.

  • Uh, Bloodlust works EXACTLY the way it does in this video. Try it yourself before accusing me of using codes. I haven't used "codes" in games since up up down down left right left right B A start in the Mike Tyson Punch Out days on NES.

This video is completely legit, everyone who has actually tried it concurs, and the fact that you think a code is being used only boosts my ego. Is this strategy THAT impressive?

Thanks for the compliment, but I'm undeserving. ANYONE can do this strategy.

  • I know you already got told, but I thought I would further dig you into a grave.

You can use a plasmid as long as you have 1 Eve left. So, he uses Electro Bolt, replenishes some Eve with Bloodlust, and can use Electro Bolt again.

Just making sure you knew, because it's very frustrating for console gamers to assume PC players use hacks to play

By the way, codes? It's a computer, not a gameshark

  • i thought this was bollocks, but i read through the instructions and wow, of course it would work!

Bioshock is an easy games for those who are thinkers

  • Lol then I'm going to have a hard, hard time finishing the game then

  • @1aceraussie yea but most people are layzy (like me) to be swapping the tonics on a hard difficulty playtrough :) I preffer to use the good old barrel with over 9000 mines attached to it then finishing with some incendiary bolts :D

  • This appears to be on easy...You take way to much health when you hit him with a wrench

  • No, it's on Hard and this is an Elite Big Daddy as well, which are harder to bring down than the normal ones.

It's all about strategy, that's all. Read the Video Description, I describe everything in full detail. If you have the right Tonics equipped, anyone can do this.

  • In the beginning, he shows that he's on hard mode.

  • It appears that you have unlimited eve.

  • It appears that you didn't read the video description. There is a Tonic, in this particular situation, that GIVES you what amounts to "unlimited Eve".

  • Ahh yes i see now, sorry about that.

  • no problem. :-)

  • easy way to kill :]

  • how did u use electrobolt without any eve

  • Read the video description. I explain everything in great detail, if you are interested in doing this.

Hint: It's a Tonic that gives you back a sliver of Health and Eve after each wrench hit. So after each hit, I had enough Eve (almost invisible, even when you watch this video in High Quality) to use ElectroBolt again.

  • That is seriously sick dude. Im gonna go and wrench some big daddys

  • at what point in the game can I obtain all the stuff listed in the description?

  • Damage Research 2 holds up the show. You can't get that one until Point Prometheus, and that's the last one. However, the strategy still works well before you can get that one.

You can everything else by Olympus Heights.

  • That's pretty smart. Nice combination of tonics and whatnot.

  • Impressive! Very clever way of taking down a Big Daddy! Boozehound comes in handy! :)

  • I have a microsoft sidewinder mouse with 2 thumb buttons so this technique was TOO easy, because they tell you about it, and the tonics are no brainers. The guy in the game Atlas said "USE THE ONE, TWO, PUNCH!" So I did the whole game. Im playing the game on the hardest setting now as to actually somewhat challenge myself haha.

  • Yeah, with one exception...

If the Tonics are "no brainers" then 95% of the people who have commented on this video are idiots lol.

I explain EXACTLY how to do this strategy in the video description, but people still see this video and fly into a rage about it being a hack or something. If it was a "no brainer" then surely more people with or without brains would immediately see that it was legit. :-)

  • Yeah...I guess I should have said tonics are no brainers to people that actually use their brain for logic, strategy, and extended thought processes haha...so yes that does exclude most of the general youtube population, sadly. When a game tells you how to do these things it SHOULD be obvious. All the haters just haven't played the game properly enough to find all these things and try them, so fuck them =D

  • Good strategy I never doubted it for a second. Tried it for myself and although I'm not quite as good at switching from plasmid to weapon(one of my biggest faults with the gameplay of Bioshock) I managed to do it first try. I did have to use a medkit because I got hit a couple of times but it does work.

Anyone who comments on this vid without actually trying it themselves should be shot. Fuckin Idiots.

Anyhow Good work dude and keep owning all these faggy flammers and trolls.

  • Thanks man. Plus, I explain everything in the Video Description, so the people who say it's not legit are either -

    1) Not reading it

    or

    2) Moronic enough to not see that the math adds up.

  • Wow man thanks a lot I'm defiantly going to use this strategy! I wish I had a camera though, I really wanna make a walk through video on bioschock...It wouldn't be the best but it would be fun!

  • so far if i had the tonic i woulda beaten it myself...but im in level one so i dont have the tonic...switching the weapons isnt that hard for me :P

  • wrench power, wrench power 2,fully recearch elite bouncer=50% more power angaist elite bouncers...its no cheater =D

  • I love this game cuz people are finding such creative ways to kill everything. From the guns only approch to this purely plasmid and tonic approach, (which is bloody brilliant btw). Good stuff dude.

  • Dude, this vid pawns, is awsome, I'mma try it out myself :3, i still need that one archivement on hard mode.

  • Sir, I appreciate your video description on how you managed to do this, and am shocked at how simple it actually was to do, I thank you and love how you prove those that believe anything that looks simple in a game is a "hack" or "cheat" of any sort. I'm giving this vid a fav and a big thumbs up!

  • i have a question, how come your eve stays at 0 and never have to recharge~?

  • ...

Please, read the video description. That's what it is there for. I didn't spend all the time to write it so that it wouldn't be read. It is a companion piece to the video, and it will greatly enhance one's understanding of the video.

Sorry if I seem a little rude, but you are FAR from being the first person to ask me that same question. It's a little frustrating.

Anyway, just read the video description, please. It explains everything.

  • NO, MR BUBBLES!

  • I haven't even done this fully because I don't have the physical tonics to do it yet, but I pretty much figured this out myself just with the electro bolt and wrench...( stun plus awesomely powerful melee how hard is that?)....Anyone saying this is a hack is retarded as hell haha

  • Don't they teach it to you IN the game? Isn't it called the "One-Two Punch" and shown to you early in the story? So yeah, it's no secret.

The only thing most people don't realize is how POWERFUL that combo can be, once powered up. Most people see the One-Two Punch as just something they use before getting a gun or more powerful plasmids, lol.

But nope, with a certain mix of Tonics combined with Big Daddy Research, damage is maximized. 10 wrench hits can kill an Elite Big Daddy on Hard.

  • dude i seriously readlike 6 pages of peoples comments and you like write a paragraph about how their wrong every time lol u should be a lawyer

  • Well, it bothers me when people get facts wrong. Too many people aren't reading the video description. What the hell is it THERE for? The video shows the strategy, but the video description EXPLAINS IT.

Too many people watch the video and don't read the thorough explaination, and then say it's a cheat or something. It makes them look stupid, so I tell them so.

ANYONE can do this. It's not about skill, it's about strategy. If people would just do it themselves, they would see it's legit.

  • EPIC WIN!

  • #1 - Thanks for the compliment. Apparently the strategy is so amazing, it appears to be a hack.

#2 - Try this yourself using this method, detailed thoroughly in the video description, and you will see that it is no hack. Anyone can do it. In fact, it doesn't even take much skill. This is a show of strategy, using the correct Plasmid and Tonics, not a show of skill.

  • pwened! bitch!

  • You shoulda had him in water when you did that

    >=]

  • how is it that u never seem to have to replenish ur eve

  • Read the video description, I explain EVERYTHING.

To answer your question specifically: The Bloodlust Tonic. It replishes a little sliver of health and Eve with every wrench hit, and ANY amount of Eve remaining in your bar is enough for another cast of Electro-Bolt.

  • *claps*

  • hey dude thanks for this it really helped im doing it on survivor but it still has the same amazing effect this really helps

  • now try it without elctro-bolt!

  • I've already replied to a comment just like this, so I will copy & paste my reply:

Without Electro-Bolt it would take a lot more hits though. A big part of the damage comes from Wrench Lurker 1 and 2, which combine for 350% more wrench damage when the enemy is shocked. :-)

Plus, this technique is intended as a SMART strategy. Running up and wailing away on a Big Daddy with a wrench is dumb and wasteful. You can kill the Big Daddy, but you will lose a lot of Health Kits along the way.

  • i know, i was just pulling your leg

  • I see. Well, thank you. :-)

  • nicely done

  • Thats not a big daddy, thats a Rosie. O_O

  • They are both Big Daddies. They come in two versions. One is called a Bouncer, the other is called a Rosie. Actually, four versions if you count the Elite Bouncer and Elite Rosie (which is this one).

Anyway, the strategy works the same for both versions of the Big Daddy.

  • insane

you make me wanna restart my game. GREAT video.

  • You accuse me of cheating when you have no clue how this game works? The Eve doesn't refill because of the Bloodlust Tonic. Read about it sometime before making useless comments.

It's a tonic in the game that regenerates a tiny bit of Health and Eve everytime you hit with the wrench. So every time I use ElectroBolt, I hit with the wrench, then use ElectroBolt again.

ANY amount of Eve is enough for one final cast of ElectroBolt, because your Eve bar must be EMPTY before injecting.

  • Well, I wish I could say you are a model of maturity, but unfortunately facts must intervene...

The simple truth is that you are offended by the fact that I proved you wrong. Most people hate it when that happens, it's only natural, but we also take the high road instead of using immature attacks like "ur a geek".

Perhaps you should avoid making false statements in the future, then you could avoid being proven wrong and being forced to lash out. Just my advice...

  • I agree dude!

Nice work, i didnt know about the BloodLust tonic and its effect.

  • chill out geek breath

  • How can I chill out when I haven't even gotten worked up? I'm just laughing at you, kiddo. You got proven wrong, and you're mad, it's ok. I have understood from the beginning. You are predictable, but easily understood. No worries.

  • ah... bloodlust... but does that really take skill? you just essentially retreated and attacked... but that was some good thinking using bloodlust...

  • In all honestly, I would say this method is more about strategy than skill, yes. But I'm a more strategic minded player anyway. That's probably why I liked the multiplayer of the old Brothers in Arms shooters on XBox. With sound strategy, you could wipe out more "skilled" players. Just like in real war, I suppose. Strategy always wins.

  • lol... i'm like using that now...

  • That's what I thought, until I read his tonics.

  • very nicely done.

  • Whats harder Bouncers or Rosies? Getting this game for xmas :)

  • Both are about the same in terms of difficulty. Except one of them can kill you at range, while the other comes in close and tears you up.

  • How do you know what one's which?

  • Rosie's are the ones carrying the guns.

  • Ok, tyvm

  • nice.

  • Even though there probably aren't many Big Daddies left once you get all the work done you can still bash the Big Daddies and pick up whatever loot they have.

It's usually a load of cash....

  • It's very obvious how you did this.

You explained it well in the info.

It's also obvious how effective this is.

    Well done.

It may take awhile to get all the research and tonics together, but once you do it's clear sailing.

(Plus I imagine you could pummel splicers with the wrench while you are building towards your final goal.)

  • Lol excellent.

  • why does this big daddy look different and i dont have this game but planning to get it

  • It's a Rosie. There are two kinds of Big Daddies. Bouncers and Rosies.

  • One-two punch! Zap 'em, then whack 'em!

  • hellz ye!

  • LOL you have unlimited EVE right? ;)

  • No. The Eve isn't unlimited, but the Bloodlust Tonic gives you back a tiny sliver of Eve and Health every time you strike with the wrench.

So what you are seeing is that I use ElectroBolt, then I'm out of Eve, but I switch over to the wrench before the game auto-injects me with an Eve Hypo. I then hit the Big Daddy, and ANY amount of remaining Eve is enough to use ElectroBolt again because your Eve bar must be EMPTY before the game auto-injects you with an Eve Hypo.

  • so.............. Does this work everytime?

  • Yes, if you get your timing down and you have room to evade the Big Daddy's attacks.

  • your damage upgrade description is cool and there are some things i didn't know, thx... but, try to kill Rosie without being hit... that's much harder because of its instant and impressive shoots, isn't it?

  • This one IS a Rosie. :-) The strategy works the same for both kinds (Rosie and Bouncer), as long as you strike and shock quickly. There is no difference.

  • ahaaa, yeah! you are right! i watched it again and i can see it now... that's Rosie :P i'm blind :D anyway, it's much better if it works like this than...

  • Brilliant, though once able to combine those tonics the strategy serves its usefullness for only a few Big Daddies until the end of the game.

  • Well, true, but you can go back and kill any of them for fun. :-)

Also, building up to the strategy (using tonics as they become available), works fairly well because remember, the earlier Big Daddies are much weaker than these Elites.

  • great video! Your strategy is genius! despite there being a whole range of weapons, your method proves that ultimately the humble wrench is the most effective. this video shows how much strategy there is in combining gene tonics, plasmids and weapons.

  • Thanks man! Glad you like it! :-)

And I'm glad you read the Video Description where I explain the strategy in full detail. A lot of people IGNORE that, and therefore don't understand how this was done. Then they accuse me of all kinds of B.S...

  • lol i tried using this skill, but takes a few tries to get it right, this skills works best if u have space to walk around, btw i tried using only wernch<<<stupid idea

  • whats the difference between a bouncer and rosie
