  • THIÊN TÀI ÂM NHẠC

  • 18 people don't like a very talented kid playing an excellent piece of tango music

  • Taken directly from his website.

Does Sungha's parents ever force Sungha to play guitar?

Never! It has always been Sungha's wish to play guitar even when he was very young.

Because playing guitar gives him so much joy, Sungha does not need anybody's forcing. Sungha's father only aids Sungha to record and film his playing.

And by the way people, HE WAS BORN IN FREAKING 1996. QUIT SAYING HE'S LIKE 9 IN 2009.

  • whhooowwhhh this is amazing!!!

  • make me sleep better tonite...

  • i love all people love sungha

  • He is great. But is he going to study with a teacher and go to music school or major in music at a college. Will he want to do this as he gets older I wonder. He does a lot of cover songs what about other stuff. I know he has done some own songs. Does he read music? I like his music- we will have to wait and see were he goes when his becomes an adult.

  • Beautiful!

  • I love when he smiles at the camera, so cute, and so good!

  • He smiled! =D

  • dude he finally got a good camera

  • I bet this is the very best performance by Sungha even among his 276 videos. Just stunning.

  • I love it when he smiles :)

  • gahhh. what a geniuss !

  • Too bad that instrumental music doesn´t get the attention it deserves. I would start listening to the radio if Sungha, Andy Timmons, Tommy Emmanuel and other champion were on it

  • @AnimeLagge Animals As Leaders :) \m/

  • man, i feel proud of him - in a sense of a musicians pride. aside from his astounding technical level, he can really feel the music and the notes themselves.

    amazing

  • genio 100%

  • very technique, but souless

  • Once, Sungha posted a video of him playing Tango by Ulli Boegershausen, a famous fingerstyle musician from Germany, people who watched Sungha's video soon started to contact Ulli Boegershausen for tabs, which surprised him very much because he has not released the tabs yet.

  • So talented. :3

    Korean pride! lol.

  • how can u possibly dislike this video ?

  • 1:36 - 1:37 - He Gave Another Greatest Smile Just Like The Song It Self.

  • i want to learn this. but i cant tell if it is standard tuning

  • one of my favorite sungha songs

  • je suis super fan je t'admire vraiment ^^

  • -_-"

  • hmm i noticed he does the tirando or apoyando with thumb and index instead of index and middle what do you peope think aobut this?

  • I'm thinkin I have no clue what your talkin about.

  • xD damn yo donht know what apoyados or tirados mean ?? look it up they are a guitar piquing movement arpeggio style

  • well, it'd kinda be like me goin on an Andy McKee video and saying, "Hmm, the way he uses triads here and major thirds their is completely brilliant, what do you people think about this?" my point it is that you can't possibly believe that everyone here, or even half of the people have solid musical training as well as musical knowledge. I'm not criticising you I'm just saying your asking the wrong people for a response. Of course I could be the only one who has no musical trainiing.

  • It doesn't matter....! Can't you hear him playing??? He's awsome!

  • i want your powers

  • Cute grin at 1:38!

  • Haha yea! I love when he smiles

  • I'd love to see you playing Comptine D'un Autre Été, from Amélie Poulain. By Yann Tiersen.

    congrtulations!

  • this kid is amazing

  • Chops

  • Great job :)

I'm wondering if you have a perfect pitch? you learn every songs very fast and play very well.

    Thanks for the video :)

  • You can find the word "love" in his playing.

  • just imagine sungha coming to a new guitar teacher, I would like to see his facial expression when seeing him playing for the first time ;)

this is like the 200th time that I watch a video from sungha and he amazes me every time and he would amaze also if he were like 50 years old

  • It actually takes about 10k hours of anything to be considered an expert. Idk if it's a commercial, intro to a show, or what... but it said that if you played 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, for 5 years, you'd have your 10k hours. The kid is just great... plus... such a young (asian :p) mind is like a sponge, man. And I'm sure he's disciplined, too. Way to go!

  • Pause at 1:38!

    He smiled, haha :D

  • That is just perfect. Any plans for a CD? Seriously.....

  • i think his parents keep attention to his school career because he's still very young, and it's good this way.

we have to be patient, i'm sure we will hear more and more from our master while he get's older ;o)

from time to time he's on tour, this year for example he was in europe (germany i guess) together with other pros, if i remember correctly.

  • why don't you mind your own business???

  • because i run no business, do you?

  • relly, i love listening to ur playing!!

  • Love you wearing black ^^

I feel passion from your playing ^^ Sugoi, ne?

    Keep it up, Sungha ^^

  • lol not that good ...... 3*5 = 15 hours is VERY good unless your some almighty genious yourself

  • aqZNzMOBIE, WHY DON'T YOU READ HIS BIO? jwcfree, top right hand corner. He plays about 3 hours a day or 2 hours when scholl is on. He can memorize a song in 3-5 days. I know, it's weird, but, that's the way of genius's.

  • You're not being serious, right? 2 to 3 hours a day isn't long at all, it's actually pretty standard (plus, it's actually 1 to 2, and only 3 on non-school days). A lot of the guitarists I know practice more than twice that span of time daily, and for many more years than Sungha's paltry three. I myself can practice up to four without noticing the time has passed, and I can't even begin to compare myself to Sungha. Plus, what takes me around three months to learn takes Sungha two days, (cont)

  • (cont) and with less than four years of playing/experience under his belt, I doubt I will gain so much as half of Sungha's talent even if I do practice as 'much' as he does. Plus, there is also the fact that Sungha is largely self-taught, plays by ear a good majority of the time, etc, etc.

  • Cool. I stand corrected. My apologies.

  • Sungha usually learns how to play a song by ear/watching a video (aka without tabs/notes) in less than an hour. He then practices the piece for only a couple of hours before recording and then uploading.

  • were does Sungha live

  • I meant that's what he does for most of the songs he plays, not all. I got the information from the FAQ section in his site so I'm pretty sure it's accurate information. But of course, some pieces like Valse du Zenith, Goutte D'or, Ashes in the Sea, etc, etc probably take Sungha a bit longer, maybe a couple days to a week before he uploads.

  • @myroutine And how do you know this?

  • @myroutine how would you know that? unless you actually see him doing that

  • @Joey989898

    Check his official site.

If you think he uses tabs, find them. Every song (that is not a popular cover) has no tabs that are even legitimately close to what Sungha plays. Actually, even the popular covers don't have tabs like how he plays.

Can't you hear the extra licks and bass notes Sungha puts in? Can you not hear his style?

    This kid is legit.

  • @myroutine plus when he plays arrangements he uses im sure he uses tabs...

  • @Joey989898 he actually said so himself.. he said he'll listen to a song and take a couple of DAYS before he recorded them. because people have been asking him for tabs, and he said he doesnt use them.

  • @Joey989898 Check his channel info. He mostly learns by ear and video, but he will use tabs when the composers provide them to him. Also, he credits each and every arranger/composer in the caption under each video. Btw, he has a dozen or so vids of original compositions.

  • @myroutine and i ask: how do you know that ?

  • @myroutine ole crap!!!!!! He`s talented this kid MY GOD!!!

  • @myroutine wow...remind me of nodame

  • @myroutine Umm dude, thats wrong? Read his website, sais he learns a song from a few days up to a month, not in one hour.

  • @myroutine @myroutine The song isnt hard...I thought it was and i liked it so I learnt it, and it only takes 20 minutes to really know where to play, then 30 minutes to have it as good as he has it...Then to put the video up takes like 4 hours, lol...But to learn it as he has it... For a good guitarist like I, him, many others, about 50-60 minutes without a break :D

  • @nashicobresciani

    And... how old are you?

  • @dorenefayea in 2009 he's only 12

  • @nashicobresciani

    And... how old are you?

  • @dorenefayea you're not really falling for it aren't you? if you play guitar you would understand he's obviously talking his fantasy.

  • @myroutine Are you mentally retarded? He takes anywhere from just a couple days to a week to learn. And by the way, if he can find accurate tabs, he said he uses them.

  • @buggld Wow, calm down. I got the information from his official korean website/fancafe when I left my comment- which was approximately two whole years ago, btw. Which coincidentally was when he WAS playing mostly from ear from watching videos/listening to audio and very rarely from tabs. Also, if you've seen any of his official radio interviews or television appearances during that period you'd know he said as much himself.

  • @myroutine I realize that your comment is 2 years old but even back then he took 2 to 3 days to learn his songs. He doesn't take just a couple of hours to completely learn a song and upload it. Not then, not now.

  • @buggld Like I said, I got my information directly from the source. Maybe not so much now, when his pieces are considerably more difficult, but then again, it's not me you need to believe.

  • damn, i've tried studying how to play the guitar for almost 15 years and i do not even come near close to this amazing child's talent. i guess, guitar playing is not for me.

  • what have you been doing for 15 years........

  • This kid probably practices for many hours each day. You can do that when you're a kid. Unfortunately for most adults, we only have a few free hours in any given day, and to choose to spend those precious few working on something requires herculean effort and insane commitment to it. So I wouldn't feel too bad. ~_^

  • then again, an adult with this much skill woulda made millions by just playing guitar and wouldnt need another job.... nitwit

  • Firstly, he's gotten this good in part because he has been able to practice like a superfiend a luxury that is afforded to few adults thanks to the necessity for having food and clothing, thus we have to work for significant portions of our day. So assuming his skill made him millions, normal adults could hardly expect to be able to start and get that good.

Secondly, you appear to be under a misunderstanding of how much most professional musicians make on average. But I'm a nitwit. :(

  • You are WICKED 0.0

In a good way of course!

    You have mad guitar skills....

And you are so adorable! o3o

  • saranghe yo!~~~~~~~~

  • Just amazing...and such clean playing!

  • what kind of guitar pick does he use in the thumb??

  • Probably small a Dunlop Thumbpick

  • I wanna dance while you play! amazing :P

  • Damn.

    That was so pretty.

Please don't practice your fingers to death. haha.

Yes you should smile more often, but yah i understand focusing.

Gosh, someone should be dancing to this..it so amazing!!

  • 1:38 *o* ... u should smile often...

    so goodddddd (^^)b

  • Well done!

    O_o

  • it's crazy to see how much he's improved... go watch his older videos of him trying to play this and then watch this again.

it's just scary to think about how good sungha will be in 5, 10 years.

  • what i would give to see him perform live in that time

  • Damm 5 star

  • very good

  • I just recognized that he's got really long fingers - which is of course very good. I've got small hands. :-D

  • Wow. this is a really nice song, and you play it perfect as usual... I like it very much ... makes me somehow want to tango or something.. :D

  • 2 falche kulturen lol

  • W0W VERY GOOD

  • PRO :D~

  • he's playing an acoustic guitar.

  • Comment removed

  • does anybody know if he's playing a classical guitar? i know this may seem like a dumb question. but i would like 2 know :) great job jung keep up ur hard work.

  • ermm, no. those are not nylon strings. but his guitar is custom built, and probably adjusted to fit his finger picking needs. so maybe the neck of a classical but just a regular acoustic?

  • best guitarist i've ever seen

  • I must see him live.

  • I think this is one of the most technically demanding songs he has done so far and he barely breaks sweat doing it. This song is written for a classical guitar but to play it beautifully on a steel strung acoustic is gobsmackingly good. I can only say I am in awe and envy of your talent ;O)

  • FAVOLOSO!!!

  • great awesome everything !

  • You know what? you're bloody awesome.

  • Bravo...bellissimo brano...

  • Sungha, i hope you read the comments people give you, because i hope you realise that your amazingly good.

  • Never found his videos that lest than 5 stars. Amazing kid. 188 videos! How does he remember so much in short period of time and improve so fast.

  • Jealousy woes...

  • Unbelivable!! 5*****

  • seems like 1:37 is the first time I've seen him look at the camera in any of his videos he's so sweet~~~

  • i know right. XD

  • tuber23504:

Thank you; personally I enjoyed your suggestions. You obviously are a serious student of classical guitar. I hope jwcfree reads your comment.

  • WOW!!!!!

  • freaking awesome!

  • 1:37 he smilesss!

  • he's doing great. I can only imagine how great he'd be when he's older.
