Don't quote me on this. I think the reason why director Blake Edwards used the slow motion shots in this one and "The Return Of The Pink Panther" may have been as a parody to the slow motion action sequences used in the martial arts films of the early 1970's. Still though, it's hilarious.

Edwards was mercurial and a perfectionist and Sellers could be moody and prima donna-ish...so sometimes that combo could ignite!
