Ok... I have found some similarities between this piece of music and the song "Dream Within a Dream" from the soundtrack of Inception. Listen to this from 1:00 to 1:40 then listen to "Dream Within a Dream" from 1:20 to 1:48... I think this Hans Zimmer is a bit of a copycat!

I can imagine this playing an adaptation of 'The call of Cthulhu', where Inspector LeGrasse and the New Orleans police are creeping around the Louisiana swamps looking for the Cthulhu cult...yeah, I'm serious Lovecraft nerd. It'd work brilliantly, though.
