I could never understand why the Hornsea line wasn't built with a terminus at garrison side and routed up through Holderness - always seems daft to me that all lines in to Hull approached from the West and had to cross at Wilmington . Great idea to connect Hornsea by rail again - you'll have to rebuild hull bridge at Hornsea though !
Absolutely brilliant video, not many videos of the Hornsea Railway line actually showing its railway heritage on YouTube. I've made a link to this video on our campaign website to bring the railway back to Hornsea as a heritage steam railway.
I saw this on Film Four years ago and still keep telling people about it. We used to travel this line a lot in the 1950s. My Dad still lives in Hornsea, 92. I live in Switzerland. So, thank you very much for making it available again. I really enjoy watching it.
Thanks for posting Philip, I have walked this on nuermous occasions and never had to walk through people's living rooms! I am to walk it at night at some point too!
takes me back, thanks
