when i flew to holland i flew with British scareways, NEVER AGAIN!!!
when i went to the states in 2006, i flew with Delta, and if i fly again, even to mainland europe from the UK, i will try and go with delta. I found their staff friendly and helpful, (unlike british airways).
as regards the advert, i think that was shown here in the UK as well
@Airlineguy29 no it's not you fool. This was written by Composer Karl Jenkins. This is one of the movements in a much larger score that he wrote for this advert. Not any techno-opera group lol
What happened to the American version of this commercial??? Anyway, I remember this commercial ... it used to always captivate me when it came on ... from the dolphins to the aircraft to the beautiful music. "Adiemus" by Karl Jenkins is one amazing piece of music especially considering it's not even a real language.
LOL I was 12 when I saw this commercial on german TV in 1994! After this: everytime I see a plane flying under a blue sky at an altitude of 10k meters... I have to stop an watch it! amazing!
Shot in Southern California. Clay Lacy flew the Lear photo plane. Directed by Hugh Hudson. Academy Award winner for Directing Chariots of Fire. Five days of flying from Mojave Airport for one minute commercial. British production.
I love this commercial because of the song "Adiemus" are my favorite! Delta Airlines RULES!!! (Although I don't know French well when this commercial aired in France)
Wow, memories. I worked as a Flight Attendant for Delta for a couple of years until 1999. I rememeber that music being on all of the planes as the boarding music.
@Jett203 not only you. When I watched this ad 94, I was 12 y old. Still addicted. Now I am a frequent flyer, love it. also, wenn the sun is shining, I have to look up and try to search for airplanes flying under a blue sky! I makes me happy. Dont know why

Thanks for posting! I've been looking for this commercial for ages! I'm a fan of Miriam Stockley's music (the lead singer of Adiemus), and I know that this commercial was one of the main works that brought Miriam and Adiemus as a whole into the spotlight. The composer Karl Jenkins is a brilliant man.
i actually just looked at the music video for this song and it has the clouds and dolphins and i guess delta thought it would be fitting to keep the clouds (which they wanted anyway) but also the dolphins.
The Enya thing comes from the scum-sucking lowlifes who download music illegally. Most songs on peer-to-peer services are attributed to the wrong artists, and the files keep getting spread around with the wrong artist in the name. It's just another sickening consequence of theft.
...but be aware that "Adiemus" does indeed appear on one of Enya's compilation CDs (despite it not being performed by her), and she does have the legal right to market it as such, so that's probably how that association started.
Off the top of my head, it was for the Brazilian release of Eternal Knot, which saw a collaboration between Enya and Karl Jenkins for a minor remix of the titular song, for that release only.
Hearing it again; the second part is more along the lines of "this demands some... synchronization". I'm pretty sure the phrase spoken is "ça le demande".
Each Week, over 200 flights go from europe to the united states, and this makes a bit synchronization usefull!Delta Air Lines - You will love to travel
No, 4 years is not very old. I thought boeing stopt making the 767's a longer time ago, lol. But i like that an airline keeps flying these beutifull aircrafts!!
No, it's just the fact that they are getting older. Slowly they disappear from the fleets. Here in Holland we just got 4 767's and the'll get replaced for a newer type of aircraft... Maybe just Delta keeps there old aircrafts. I don't know;)
I hope you're joking! Delta has well over 100 767s in its fleet right now (767-300, -300ER, and -400ER). That's a lot of flying! There are only *8* 777's, and no airline has any 787s at all! Would you like to recant that statement? :)
