Do you think I should stay with Vista or Xp. Im getting my computer beefed up with a new GPU and motherboard and left it in to a computer shop. I was on the phone to the tech guy and he said Do I want xp installed over Vista I had orignally installed . He said xp was better for gaming. But I want dx10 and d9 servers ( mulitplayer) doesnt do Tod and physics. I know that xp probably performs better with the very high config hack but I Just want that assurance that Im getting better graphics etc

Even though the dx 10 hack on xp gets close, the real directx 10 effects look better.

If you have a Dx 10 card, simply go for vista..!

im sorry, but a 8800 GT wont pull off those frames under recording on 1680x???? resolution with very high settings.. its just not possible, my friend cant play mp with his ultra on very high, and ultra is far beyond GT

GT is way cheaper but have almost same spec as Ultra so that's why they buy it to have SLi with GT because it's smaller and thinner than Ultra or GTX but if you have money, the money is no problem k but i'm sure GT can play at 1680x... cause i run it on those specs also

Hey I can run the Crysis SP Demo nicely with this rig. (The only things that bother my video card are the shaders. when i put them to medium everything runs at a fair fps. but when i put it to high it's looking wonderful but i can't really play. killing the koreans is hard when everything is set to hard.

i got an 8800GT with a e6300 and i run it at max settings. its a sweet game man. the processor cant handle the physx tho so i cant jack up the resolution. cant wait for the penryns.
