  • im the same way i love the 80

  • I don't think you'll find many people who grew up in the 70s, 80s or 90s that hate this kind of music. This song will always take me back to my childhood watching the Goonies on the weekends.

  • @brown55061 I totaly agree =) I even had my own goonies gang back In the day´s! we used to look for treasures all the time In my old town xD

  • i agree with you totally elankrylon i think the 80s were without a doubt the best generation ever and anyone to grow up as teens in that generation were very lucky

  • como me encanta su baile jejej

  • 完璧。

  • Don't like 80s pop (mostly into 80s hard rock and metal) but for some reason having watched the goonies i fell in love with this girls voice! i dont know what lol. But yeah screw this generations music.

  • she's so hot

  • Damn this was back when singers sounded the same on stage as they did on their albums. None of this auto-tune altering crap

  • @5104katie

    totally agree

  • Grandeeee... grandeeeee Cyndy Lauper. Como ella nunca se repetirá. Marcó de forma clara la decada de los 80´s con sus grandes temas "All through at the night", "Were do you mine", "True colors", "She´s bob", "Time after time", "Goonies, ¨R¨ good enough"... en fin. Todos sus temas los bailé en muchas fiestas aqui en Nicaragua y cada que oigo uno de esos temazos me remonto a mi juventud. Gracias por subir estos videos.

  • Oh man, she was so hot back then. I love her!!

  • Chicks back in the 80's were much hotter then chicks in the 2000's.

  • Ela dança como se estivesse recebendo um santo em um terreiro de macumba, Mas eu adoro ela, e como poderia não adorar a Cyndi:)

  • i was born in the wrong generation; i always find myself looking up 80s pop music and longing to be a part of this era.

  • @elankrylon me to I wanted to be a teen in the 80's but my parents got it instead! I hate being a teen now it is all about this!

  • And she's hitting those notes without the help of Auto Tune. And if she hits the occasional clunker, that's fine. It's a LIVE performance.

  • I very much prefer Cyndi's style of dancing to the over-choreographed routines everyone and their brother does now, where if you miss a step you forget the lyrics to your own song. She's just plain having fun.

  • The keyborder is David Rosenthal! (ex. Rainbow)

  • SHE IS SEXY AS BLONDE.

  • Love you Cyndi!

  • She dances like the free spirited girl on charlie brown cartoon

  • I love this song...I'm such an 80's baby...lol.

  • love it.

  • einfach klasse:-)

  • Awesome

  • I was born in the 80's and loved it.I remember the haircuts, clothes and music but the scary thing is it dont seem like 5 minutes ago,so make the most of your time on this planet while you are here because you will kick yourself for not doing what you wanted to do when your near your death bed.

  • Very fond memories of that film! The Goonies and Cyndi Lauper represent many things that I loved about the 80's. Being a kid in the 80's was truly great. Glad I was there to see that decade...unique times. Things are mostly crap nowadays.

  • @Fenner1976 that they are and what stinks is being a teenager now with not being able to have that fun time as a kid or teen then!

  • @doodlebuggy15 True! For a kid in the 80's, things were pretty nice. Truly original music, original TV shows and some of the most iconic films in cinema which are just as popular today as they were back then. I don't really have any bad memories from those days? All good ones...including owning a pretty sweet Raleigh Burner when they first came out! (Wish I had kept it).

  • Mamacita rica y sabrosa como me hubiera gustado cogermela toda y por todos lados en esa epoca lastima que yo ni existia en ese entonces.

  • I like the recording better!

  • I'm sorry def. live before studio artist!! My Fav. movie ever !!! but so dead on in the live performance!! AWESOME

  • que parche de temaaa me gustaaa

  • Love her . I wish i can go back to the 80'S

  • Gotta Love the 80'S

  • @Budd703 Thanks for all the positive comments guys, it's good to know that there are people around who still appreciate individuality and freedom of expression, and of course, good music and classic movies =]

  • 1980s -- Cyndi Lauper and Madonna

1990s -- Britney Sprears and Christina Aguilera

    2000s -- Autotune 'artists' (Kanye West, fat-Britney, "X-Tina", T-Pain, Katy Perry).

How far has pop music fallen? I mean....seriously, this is just awful!

  • Cyndi and Jackie Evancho, what a duet that would make!

    Totally rad!

Both can hold a note the longest!

    Totallythe best!

  • fuck yeah shes hitting the stomp in the beginning! raver

  • Que linda locura que tiene...

  • wow, she's got some good vocal control.

  • Mow Macumba

  • delicacy and refractoriness on the same person... she is the real symbol for the women revolution on eighties, NOT Madonna! :P too much attitude! Cindy was many many years ahead those days!

  • A-W-E-S-O-M-E! This kind of performance reminds me Alanis Morissette on stage... fuck the rules and just have fun

  • one of the worst songs ever. too bad cause he is not awful

  • Cindy used to say that´s how you see yourself that matters and not how other people see you. This is the secret of her success and how she became one of the few divas of THE ENTIRE WORLD!

  • 0:02 now that's what i call a mullet!!

  • i love the spinning at the beginning and ending! and i LOVE this live compared to the studio track.

i truly believe she is one of the very VERY few who can sing the way she did/does.

  • fat bass

  • This is so wonderfully 80s! I love the choice & use of instruments.

  • shes so hot, god damn :P

  • uuuuuufffffffffff como me gusta esta canciooooooooooonnn.... nojoda.....

  • looks like she was having a good enough time dancing and singing. maybe she had some sake before she got on stage. :D

  • She was a great singer!!! High notes sung perfectly!

  • You know I wonder why Vince didn't have her induct Wendi Richter into the WWE Hall of Fame.

  • jejeje

  • Man if I go to heaven the first being I want to welcome me is Cyndi

  • Wooo Go Cyndi :D! Not many artists nowadays jst go on stage with no dance routines prepared nd rehersed a thousand times, nd jst dance however they want to whenever the want to as they go along, just doing as the feel like doing :D I LOVE CYNDI LAUPER, SHES SO COOL :D x

  • I love her Annie Oakley outfit coupled with sky high 80's new wave hair!!! She looks straight out of an anime!!!!

  • I can think of one word to discribe the way Ms Lauper danced out there. "Spontaneous". It is so much fun to see her doing this because it is the kinda thing us normal people could do (beside doing the song like a pro of course).

And the part when she tripped yet not missing a beat on the song. That is mad skillz! Hearing this song and seeing her dance just brought me so much nostalgia feeling. :) Thank you for the upload.

  • grande cindy lauper desde argentina saludos!!!

  • wtf??? talent coming from a pop singer? things must have been different.

  • Wow... So many great memories of my childhood! She rocks and will probably be one of the best things we'll ever see.

  • So Crazy!!

  • so awesome, so unique, what memories of her, this song, and the goonies

  • I love her dance...it´s so deep and she is just being herself... and Madonna is a fake artist and her dance is so fake... CYNDI LAUPER FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!

  • je l'adore c'est la meilleure !!!

  • Every now and again, pop music produces something worth listening to.

Sure, it's probably been a decade or more since it has... but who's counting?

  • I LOVE HER!I LOVE THE WAY SHE DANCES SINGS AND DRESSES LOVE YOU CYNDI!

  • A Cindy é incrivel!!!, Salve a rainha do pop.

  • me mata esta musik....... es super...

  • At 0:43 she almost takes a tumble. It's so good to see this woman performing, even to this day. Her voice is exactly what you expect it to be live, and more.

  • Belissimas Musicas a Melhor Voz dos anos 80 I love Cindy Lauper

  • The audio is only on the left side I know because i'm using head phones

  • Did you find out that your head phones where broken or where you right?

  • is that Madona ???? :-D

  • @CapitanoGUC no madona wishes she was her

  • You go Cindi!!!!! ;)

  • @cheercraze19 ITS CYNDI :)!(please dont take this personal:))

  • @cyndilauperidol i know! i was typing too fast!

  • @cheercraze19 OH I am sorry!

  • People talking about her dancing have probably never been to a rave before.. that's nothing special or freaky. It's called expressing yourself and dancing. That's how everyone should dance if they weren't so caught up in social/peer pressure and were just copying each other and worried about what others thought. She's awesome, and so is her dancing.

There's nothing weird about it. The only weird thing is you have never seen people expressing themselves freely and have only seen mainstream crap

  • @ex0duzz x2

  • @ex0duzz

Cyndi is great, and so is her dancing. It's like a bohemian celebration. I love Cyndi.

  • @ex0duzz as an ex kandi kidd myself i'm all about expressing yourself through dance, but when your dancing like that at a rave, usually it has somthing to do with being on E. lol

  • @squishygirl I'm from Melbourne, and we have something called the Melbourne Shuffle here.. some people are not so good at it, but no one cares because it's about expressing yourself. Who cares if they are on E or not, everyones there for fun ;)

  • @ex0duzz i loved your comment and i totally agree, people need to start being themselfs and stop being sheep followers.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • @winniebee112 how about you make an original comment then?

  • @ex0duzz Beyond that, she's got a giant stage to take up, and as a performer it makes sense to be as animated and use as much of the space as possible.

I forgot how hot she was back then she's hot still too.

  • @ex0duzz : your comment is just perfect!!! I agree totally!!

  • @ex0duzz : your comment is just perfect!!! I agree totally!!

  • @ex0duzz Ditto.

This vid is the definition of unplugged. Too bad songs/singers/dancing this liberated no longer exists. I pity today's generation.

  • @ex0duzz so agree w you

  • @ex0duzz

You should up idiot with your stupid "expressing yourself" arguments.

Lamest argument one could possibly give.

Cindy proved she lacked style through that dancing.

Style means: "moving in a way that it makes your eyes happy". She failed.

But her singing is great, and that is all I wanted in the first place. I love the 80's music and hate the one from today !

  • @MotoscuterZ "You should up idiot?" Speak english.

The way she moved in the video makes my eyes happy, from her stumble to her 'puddle stomping' and dress pulling. It makes me happier than some huge choreographed number with backup dancers and with her dressed and acting like a skank like most other huge female pop stars feel the need to do.

  • @ex0duzz

Couldn't you say anything better ? You are so lame.

You don't have style at all.

  • @ex0duzz You deserve every single one of those thumbs up for that comment my friend

  • @ex0duzz Great comment. People talk about Cyndi Lauper as if she's an eccentric. I really don't get it!

The woman is successful in business, She's Artistic, She's Kindhearted, She doesn't have a biggoted bone in her body. She's very active with charities. She is who she is and she doesn't care what anyone thinks about her. The woman is a saint and we should all try to be half as eccentric.

I'm not a massive fan of all her music. But she is a fantastic human being.

  • @claudis192 i think her dancing kicks ass

  • Me too....!!

  • @claudis192

I agree, I kinda hate her music but the fact remains that I recognize great artistry when I see it. CL is one those cases. Regardless of the times she performs in, she's never given a shit about current fashion trends or how goofy she looks or performs - and THAT I can respect.

Hope she continues to do HER thing for decades to come.

  • @claudis192 Beautiful comment and certainly truth :)

  • @claudis192

I agree whole heartedly!!!!! well said!!! ;)

  • @ex0duzz I agree totally! I danced like her at my Junior/Senior prom last year because she is one of my inspirations. I love how Cyndi dances because she makes it look sooooo much fun! And you know what, when I danced like her at prom, I was having fun doing it! :D

  • @ex0duzz and with good reason... raves are for faggots

  • @RcUniverseGuy Have you been to one? Maybe in this age they are, but back then, they were a good experience/atmosphere, it's something that i recommend everyone do at least once(drugs that is, and not including alcohol).

  • Comment removed

  • When all my friends talked about Madonna, I was enchanted by Cyndi Lauper.

  • i miss those days

  • a voz dela é linda

  • i love the 80's songs!!!! Best one i had ever heard in a long time.

  • I love this song!

  • VIVAN LOS OCHENTA!!!

  • GOONIES NEVER SAY DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Anyone else having sound problems with this video?

  • @bookfound yes the right channel seems muted

  • i grew up in the 80s and we said it was 60s that were the best.

  • When I was young I'd wonder beeing a Goonie and fucking her... awesome!

  • she should copyright that hair

  • @DinoSwede yeah hayley williams had already copied it kind of
