The Goonies was a Great movie. Cyndi gives me goose bumps, this movie is one of my favorites! Computer graphics is all I see in movies these days and they are sooooo bad!. The Goonies will never die because of the legendary story and scenery. NEVER SAY DIE!
I don't think you'll find many people who grew up in the 70s, 80s or 90s that hate this kind of music. This song will always take me back to my childhood watching the Goonies on the weekends.
i agree with you totally elankrylon i think the 80s were without a doubt the best generation ever and anyone to grow up as teens in that generation were very lucky
Don't like 80s pop (mostly into 80s hard rock and metal) but for some reason having watched the goonies i fell in love with this girls voice! i dont know what lol. But yeah screw this generations music.
Grandeeee... grandeeeee Cyndy Lauper. Como ella nunca se repetirá. Marcó de forma clara la decada de los 80´s con sus grandes temas "All through at the night", "Were do you mine", "True colors", "She´s bob", "Time after time", "Goonies, ¨R¨ good enough"... en fin. Todos sus temas los bailé en muchas fiestas aqui en Nicaragua y cada que oigo uno de esos temazos me remonto a mi juventud. Gracias por subir estos videos.
I very much prefer Cyndi's style of dancing to the over-choreographed routines everyone and their brother does now, where if you miss a step you forget the lyrics to your own song. She's just plain having fun.
I was born in the 80's and loved it.I remember the haircuts, clothes and music but the scary thing is it dont seem like 5 minutes ago,so make the most of your time on this planet while you are here because you will kick yourself for not doing what you wanted to do when your near your death bed.
Very fond memories of that film! The Goonies and Cyndi Lauper represent many things that I loved about the 80's. Being a kid in the 80's was truly great. Glad I was there to see that decade...unique times. Things are mostly crap nowadays.
@doodlebuggy15 True! For a kid in the 80's, things were pretty nice. Truly original music, original TV shows and some of the most iconic films in cinema which are just as popular today as they were back then. I don't really have any bad memories from those days? All good ones...including owning a pretty sweet Raleigh Burner when they first came out! (Wish I had kept it).
@Budd703 Thanks for all the positive comments guys, it's good to know that there are people around who still appreciate individuality and freedom of expression, and of course, good music and classic movies =]
delicacy and refractoriness on the same person... she is the real symbol for the women revolution on eighties, NOT Madonna! :P too much attitude! Cindy was many many years ahead those days!
Cindy used to say that´s how you see yourself that matters and not how other people see you. This is the secret of her success and how she became one of the few divas of THE ENTIRE WORLD!
Wooo Go Cyndi :D! Not many artists nowadays jst go on stage with no dance routines prepared nd rehersed a thousand times, nd jst dance however they want to whenever the want to as they go along, just doing as the feel like doing :D I LOVE CYNDI LAUPER, SHES SO COOL :D x
I can think of one word to discribe the way Ms Lauper danced out there. "Spontaneous". It is so much fun to see her doing this because it is the kinda thing us normal people could do (beside doing the song like a pro of course).
And the part when she tripped yet not missing a beat on the song. That is mad skillz! Hearing this song and seeing her dance just brought me so much nostalgia feeling. :) Thank you for the upload.
I love her dance...it´s so deep and she is just being herself... and Madonna is a fake artist and her dance is so fake... CYNDI LAUPER FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!
At 0:43 she almost takes a tumble. It's so good to see this woman performing, even to this day. Her voice is exactly what you expect it to be live, and more.
People talking about her dancing have probably never been to a rave before.. that's nothing special or freaky. It's called expressing yourself and dancing. That's how everyone should dance if they weren't so caught up in social/peer pressure and were just copying each other and worried about what others thought. She's awesome, and so is her dancing.

You should up idiot with your stupid "expressing yourself" arguments.
Lamest argument one could possibly give.
Cindy proved she lacked style through that dancing.
Style means: "moving in a way that it makes your eyes happy". She failed.
But her singing is great, and that is all I wanted in the first place. I love the 80's music and hate the one from today !
