  • One of my favorite movies ever! I go to Oktoberfests in America every year and this film nails them. Ha ha.

  • This movie was awesum! The Wurstfest in Tx says it all

  • agreed coming from america

  • 5/5

what is the name of that song in the beginning?

  • Long Temps Passe by Bruce Sunpie Barnes

  • Deeply convincing performances. Unpretentiously superb.

  • Saw it when I was 16 and absolutely adored it. It made quite the impression on me. The theme of freedom has stayed with me.

  • I love this movie. Makes me nostalgic.

  • One of the best films i have ever seen

  • well im not german, quiet opposite actually, I'm

Russian and I loved this movie-every moment of it-so why don't u just go watch scary movie #3 or

    smthn

  • and my head hurts ahahhrhrhag

  • Thank you for proving most American's are stupid. I was born in America raised by Europeans and I understood this movie, everything clearly was beyond you since you lack these basic thought process. You probably loved Dark Knight or think the American Office is funny.

  • Love this movie

  • na super...ich hab dieses Film geliebt.

It's certainly true that a lot of people wouldn't like it...mostly jaded American viewers, who can't grasp the subtle humor or cope with a 'sad' ending.

I truly loved this movie, minute for minute...even the ending, it was just so fitting. Too bad more American films can't be like this...Little Miss Sunshine is the closest I've seen in a while.

  • One of the things I like about this film is its tone. You don't get many films here in the states that have such an understated tone. It was refreshing.

  • Toller FIlm. Aber nichts für jeden

  • super film. echt empfehlenswert!!!

  • Ein Film über Volksmusik. und den Blues.

    Bewegend. Empfehlenswert.

  • Hammer Film!!!

  • I love 1:14. I know that feeling.

  • I found this film subtly moving. Beautifully done!

  • Great movie!,and "open minder" to the "clusters"

  • I saw this movie in March,2005. It's a little independent film that was oddly moving by the end. A review I liked pointed out that the meaning of the title didn't mean Schultze was sad. Rather, it portrayed the fact he "got" the blues--he dug the zydeco music, fell in love with it.

  • The only thing that disappointed me a bit in the movie was the fact that there were not more different songs in it. For the rest it's a cute little movie, and you don't really need to know either german or english to understand what is going on, which is nice.

  • I'd really like to know the song in this teaser. The one that starts at 47seconds.

  • ... this is "Zydeco from 1988" from the band Zydeco Force
