He was an extremely driven cyclist, not saying others weren't but he definitely had extra determination over the others. Obviously professional sports have cheaters/dopers. You can't let them shape your image of the sport. In all sports, but specifically cycling, these men dedicate their whole lives. These men train, ride thousands of miles. This isn't JUST a sport, if you want to go pro in cycling you need to adjust to the lifestyle as well.

For me it's the tour de france 2009. His teammate Contador was showing at every stage he was much stronger than Armstrong, and Lance couldnt take that like a grown man, instead he had to attack his own teammate in the media, calling him a bad sport, and keeping other cyclists in the team from helping him. In the end he thankfully lost that tour, because he was acting like a sore loser every inch to the finish.

Obviously professional sports have cheaters/dopers. You can't let them shape your image of the sport. In all sports, but specifically cycling, these men dedicate their whole lives. These men train, ride thousands of miles. This isn't JUST a sport, if you want to go pro in cycling you need to adjust to the lifestyle as well.
Bottom line: My belief is most cyclist are clean, and I do think Lance was. Before you call me crazy, Lance has been tested for doping more than anyone.

Cocaine isn't a performance enhancing drug.. it's ranked as a recreative drug and you can't get ban or D/Q by the UCI if they find some in your blood.. but you will have problems with the public legal system

I don't get it, Lance barely finishes the Tour in the 90s, then after cancer he passes Pantani (mountain king) in the Alps like he's a toddler & then does as good or better than David Millar (time trial king) against the clock. Lance also beats Ulrich, Zulle, Virenque & other top contenders easily when in the 90s Armstrong had NO chance against them. Later, even they admitted to doping! In cycling, you are born gifted. For me it's the tour de france 2009. His teammate Contador was showing at every stage he was much stronger than Armstrong, and Lance couldnt take that like a grown man, instead he had to attack his own teammate in the media, calling him a bad sport, and keeping other cyclists in the team from helping him. In the end he thankfully lost that tour, because he was acting like a sore loser every inch to the finish.
Not saying I hate Armstrong, but I wont miss him in the tour. Not for a minute.

@DarkerthantheShadows i loved him those years were he won it all :) but i lost alot of respect they day u heart he wanted to come back and win the tour, and lost more win he ruined the astana team, i know that all the riders liked lance more then contader (who i really hate even thought he rides on a danish team(im danish)) but still :) just the way i fell :)

@DarkerthantheShadows I don't think it is all hate coming, me for instance, want to see a clean sport with no drugs. Like Lehmann108 says, they're all on EPO but Lance is the best, and he is the best biker of all time. But I still can't give pro cycling any cred as a sport because of all the drug abuse.

@DarkerthantheShadows he is just even stand more drugs than the other drivers. They are totally doped, all of them. Pantani here dies as a result of this. Armstrong got a lot of medicine because of his cancer. So he´s druged anyway. But beside this: He´s a great sportsman. He is quite fair and really professional. He´s not a Ulrich or a Basso or Merckx but he´s truly one of the best bikedrivers ever.

lol @ at the fuss people are making over Armstrong doping. Of course he did. So did Ulrich, Pantani, and everybody else even remotely good. And no-one admits it until they have been caught.

By the late 90's, 80% of the peloton was on epo. Thats not fact (who had the motivation to prove) just opinion. Armstrong was a v.good cyclist in early 90s n more power to him, but he was never a grand tour winner-never. Everything after that reeks
