And, Casey took a garbage bag from the dumpster and put it in the trunk of her car before she left it and went with Tony L, telling him her dad would come and get it. I think that Casey left the car at that Amscot next to the dumpster for two reasons: One, the smell had gotten so bad and she knew why. She thought if she left the car in the parking lot that someone would steal it. That way she could say whoever stole it used it to dispose of a dead body. I think that Casey left the car at that Amscot next to the dumpster for two reasons: One, the smell had gotten so bad and she knew why. She thought if she left the car in the parking lot that someone would steal it. That way she could say whoever stole it used it to dispose of a dead body. She did not count on it being towed so quick though. Two, the dumpster would disguise the smell. There were 2 gas stations right there yet she told Tony L. she "ran out of gas".
