@bananie135 Get your eyebrows threaded to get a shape and and arc. To determine the shape, look in the mirror. Where your eye starts, beginning of brow, where the color part of you eye ends, arch, where your eye ends, end of brow. For your upper lip and rest of the face waxing. The pain of threading the face is not worth the result. Waxing facial areas, besides the actual eyebrow, is better. I recommend only threading you actual eyebrows. Good luck!

People usually get those stories from their mothers who may have gotten them from their mothers, the doctors in their times or old wives tales. Just like the shaving thing, it doesn't actually make it grow back thicker. When your hair first grows it is tapered, which means it's like a wedge. When you save it you are cutting off that thinner part and it just keeps growing. With waxing the hair has to grow all over again.

it has nothing to do with the wax u r using, but rather with ur personal hair growth pattern.. for those who have less hair, it can take around 3 weeks for it to grow back, but in most cases it does come back much faster, like u said..

Most of the jars state whether you can do that.. And you dont need to refrigerate - the wax goes back to its solid form after some time.. and yes you can reuse :)

I totally agree with you. Electrolysis is the only way and is not very effective. These people are not even taking universal precautions. She double dipped and that is a NO! State Board needs to sue them for not following universal precautions. What if somebody had herpex virus? Think about it? I'm saying a carrier and that does not have a breakout at that time. Another client could get it.
Thats not true. I used to have rather bushy eyebrows and I've been plucking them for about 10 years and now there is noticably less to pluck than ever before. Some hair follicles do die if they are weak or something. But it is possible to do that wtihout electrolysis. Maybe a few hairs less but is still possible.

Do it yourself it's much easyer and cheaper. Maybe it's because it's for the first time you're not used to that feeling yet. Get a pot of wax where you can melt it. If you only wax your lip you will probably have enough of it for a year for like £7.99.

ok thats good I find that the upperlip isnt very painful as the hair is much thinner than on the legs. The best way to remove hair is by Laser hair removal, but waxing is good to. Find a salon you trust is proffesional and book an appointment...after keep your fingers, soaps, make-up, hotwater sunbeds etc away from the area for 24hour and you will probably be very happy with the results!
I would say yes but everyone is different, and feels pain differently, the only way to know id to just get it done....really have a go it will be fine, and think after it will be lovely and smooth.

It only stings a little and gets a little red. It definatley dosn't get worse. Although I sujest doing it the day before a special event.
I don't care if you take my advice or not. I won't listen if you tell me to stop or that it's wrong.

woooooah! That is the wrong way to wax the face nowadays!! I have been waxing for donkeys years and that is a painful way to go.
Its a lip wax. Lasts about 2 to 3 weeks.
Cost varies. its about 7euro here. Sum places charge 10.
BUT PLEASE dont go to a salon that uses strips on the facial or pubic area. Its dated and bad for the skin. Ask for hot wax, its much more gentle, It dries on the skin and is removed the same way...only u dont have as much redness and in grown hairs afterwards. K :)

FALSE. The only way to kill off hair follicles is through electrolysis, and even that is not completely effective. It only seems that less hair grows because some hairs grow at a different rate than others depending on when they have been removed from the follicle, and therefore appear sooner at the surface of the skin.

I totally agree with you. Electrolysis is the only way and is not very effective. These people are not even taking universal precautions. She double dipped and that is a NO! State Board needs to sue them for not following universal precautions. What if somebody had herpex virus? Think about it? I'm saying a carrier and that does not have a breakout at that time. Another client could get it.

Thats not true. I used to have rather bushy eyebrows and I've been plucking them for about 10 years and now there is noticably less to pluck than ever before. Some hair follicles do die if they are weak or something. But it is possible to do that wtihout electrolysis. Maybe a few hairs less but is still possible.

youre right the follicles do seem to get trauma or somethign and die.
although on the other hand when i was waxing my upper lip and chin i kindof hoped for this but it just seemed that after waxing i started to grow more beard maybe its because im male and becayse the beard had not grown to its full potential in the first place

Do it yourself it's much easyer and cheaper. Maybe it's because it's for the first time you're not used to that feeling yet. Get a pot of wax where you can melt it. If you only wax your lip you will probably have enough of it for a year for like £7.99.

don't just try to do it without instructions from the strips you got or this vid
i did with the instructions and still messed up
i have had scabs,it was swollen
and it won't grow back
if you was you only have to do it like onece a month
as the lady in vid said it makes it grow less

I am a beauty therapist and I must say the choice is yours, this area is ver small and even though you might not think it, its really not that painful at all! if you dislike your upper lip haai then give waxing ago, but do remember to get it done proffesional!

if you dont feel ready, just wait regardelss od your age, but if your feeling brave just go for it, if its the pain you are worried about perhaps have a little bit of another area waxed first like a patch on your leg so you will have an idea of what it would be like. x

ok thats good I find that the upperlip isnt very painful as the hair is much thinner than on the legs. The best way to remove hair is by Laser hair removal, but waxing is good to. Find a salon you trust is proffesional and book an appointment...after keep your fingers, soaps, make-up, hotwater sunbeds etc away from the area for 24hour and you will probably be very happy with the results!

I would say yes but everyone is different, and feels pain differently, the only way to know id to just get it done....really have a go it will be fine, and think after it will be lovely and smooth.

i bought ready done wax strips in a chemist, hold the skin around it and pull the strip off - dont let it touch ur actual lips tho or it cuts u lol
