Qi does exist. It is not something you have to believe in. Nobody is asked if they believe in electricity for example. Its existence is universally accepted, even though most forms of electricity are invisible. Without a knowledge of qi, you would not be able to practice acupuncture. Some of the more outrageous claims about qigong, yes, that would call for some healthy skepticism. But you don't ditch a body of knowledge just because it cannot be explained under Western paradigms.
Theres nothing to believe or dis believe. Its not a religion. CHi or Qi or prana or whatever you want to call it. Is absolutely real. In fact, it is the basis of reality. Its not promoted in the west because you cant buy or sell it. If people knew they could keep themselves in balance and heal ailments, western medicine would take a dive. @AshBreaker1210 A deal is a deal now I give you my mum's lasagna recipe. First of all you need Italian tomato sauce(passata), Ciro or Napolina branches. Fresh lasana pasta. and minced meat, onion, olive oil. 1) make a ragu` : chop a piece of onion put it in a pan with some olive oil and brown it. Add the minced meat, ad a quarter of red wine mix with a spoon and let the wine evaporate. Put the tomato sauce (passata), basil and parsley, let it boil for 2 hours low fire.To be continued.

Now you need the besciamella : 150gr of butter, 50gr of white flour, and glass of milk. heat the milk and in a different pan melt the butter add the flour in the butter and quickly add the warm milk. Mix fast with a spon and you've got a cream. Switch it off. 3)put one lasagna pasta, add some spoon of the tomato sauce&the besciamella, add parmigiano cheese, another lasgana pasta, souce, besciamella and cheese and so on for 3 levels.

@AshBreaker1210 some secrets : the sauce must not be too liquid not too solid. A good half. The milk for besciamella must be warm otherwise you create lumps with the flour. If you are vegetarian like me,you can add some chopped zucchine or green olives in the sauce instead of the meat. Hope you like it. Qi Gong is a skill that is developed over a period of time by the practitioner, just like a piano player develops his skill and playing through, study, practise and commitment.
@Hupellan I don't really understand your comment, most of Qigong practices orginates from Buddhism and Taoist temples where it was taught behind closed doors, so it has very close relationship to Buddha and Taoist belief.
Neither Buddhism, nor Daoism, is built on beliefs. They both come out of insights and personal experiences. And that has nothing to do with beliefs. Non doctrine ideas so to speak, in contrast to dogmatik beliefe systems.

They are cultivation schools and in many of these schools /systems they use Qigong to transform the body, like Yoga also was used in India. Since these practices do originate from temples they still have a huge relationship to Buddha and Daoism teachings, they go hand in hand.

@Hupellan Nevermind, i apologize, my point is Qigong "is" cultivation, that is why in the past it was practice in secrecy behind closed doors in the temples, it is a supplemental tool to transform the body into high energy matter. On the lowest plane it is a bout healing and fitness but on a deep level it is about achieving enlightenment. Practicing Qigong without following the Fa or the Dao is just like exercise , practice Qigong while "following" the Fa or the Dao is true cultivation.
"gong" MEANS cultivation my friend! It is true that some kinds of qigong were (and still is) practised behind closed doors, but the reason for that was mainly because of the nead of concentration and non-disturbans. The highest level of qigong aims to unify all qi witch leads to abundant harmony and healing on a universal level, so I don´t agree with you there. Qigong might lead to the state of enlightenment but that is more of a side effect. "Fa" means method by the way.
@Hupellan I don't agree with you, like i said qigong goes hand in hand with the teachings, practice Qigong alone will not lead to enlightenment only if it is followed by high level teachings. Qi is just the beginning phase of cultivation and no "fa" means law.

I recently started going to qigong classes and have extremely uncomfortable with what I was being taught but was not certain why. However, after watching this video and watching those poor rats being so cruelly drowned in the name of qigong has absolutely disgusted me and obviously my instinctive revulsion to the qigong was a healthy reaction to something intrinsically evil.

A true chi master will not charge you. In the states, it is unlikely you will be able to find a true Chi master, for there are so few of them worldwide. Meditation is a great start. Focus on becoming one with yourself. Focus on the energy that is everywhere, and focus on your own energy. Its hard to put it into words. Just meditate, and the answers will come to you over time.

quantum mechanics suggests that observation changes the energy of electrons, meaning that it changes what they do in our physical reality. Looking at something causes the electron to actually collapse and only exhibit a single locus, aka a quantum or particle. Not observing something causes the electron to expand into a wave. Therefore, thinking about a certain spot in yoru body, such as your stomach, actually causes a change in those electrons.
First off, you even stated yourself that quantum mechanics "suggests" such a phenomenon. Second, electrons aren't changed in any way. It's impossible. If this were possible, we'd be able to change elements into any element we want. For you to say this makes you seem terribly ignorant. Third, what phenomena has proven what you've just proposed? And what principals were established as a result?

Actually the electrons aren't changing other than their location, they are still electrons, for example if I want to observe an electron, I.e. loook at it with my eyes or touch it with my hands, it collapses and forms a single atom, but if i'm not looking at it, it's a wave that stretches into infinity, that's why string theory works, foo, anyways i'm not saying it happens by touching, just saying quantum mechanics is greater than newtonian and it's effect on our reality is not known.

Qi does exist. It is not something you have to believe in. Nobody is asked if they believe in electricity for example. Its existence is universally accepted, even though most forms of electricity are invisible. Without a knowledge of qi, you would not be able to practice acupuncture. Some of the more outrageous claims about qigong, yes, that would call for some healthy skepticism. But you don't ditch a body of knowledge just because it cannot be explained under Western paradigms.

@AshBreaker1210 A deal is a deal now I give you my mum's lasagna recipe. First of all you need Italian tomato sauce(passata), Ciro or Napolina branches. Fresh lasana pasta. and minced meat, onion, olive oil. 1) make a ragu` : chop a piece of onion put it in a pan with some olive oil and brown it. Add the minced meat, ad a quarter of red wine mix with a spoon and let the wine evaporate. Put the tomato sauce (passata), basil and parsley, let it boil for 2 hours low fire.To be continued.

@AshBreaker1210 2nd part. Turn the sauce with a spoon often. Now you need the besciamella : 150gr of butter, 50gr of white flour, and glass of milk. heat the milk and in a different pan melt the butter add the flour in the butter and quickly add the warm milk. Mix fast with a spon and you've got a cream. Switch it off. 3)put one lasagna pasta, add some spoon of the tomato sauce&the besciamella, add parmigiano cheese, another lasgana pasta, souce, besciamella and cheese and so on for 3 levels.

@AshBreaker1210 some secrets : the sauce must not be too liquid not too solid. A good half. The milk for besciamella must be warm otherwise you create lumps with the flour. If you are vegetarian like me,you can add some chopped zucchine or green olives in the sauce instead of the meat. Hope you like it. A theory is a postulation of what might be behind a phenomina, a law is an empirically provable mathematical model whos answers are consistant with what is being witnessed as a phenomina.

They are cultivation schools and in many of these schools /systems they use Qigong to transform the body, like Yoga also was used in India. Since these practices do originate from temples they still have a huge relationship to Buddha and Daoism teachings, they go hand in hand.

@Hupellan Nevermind, i apologize, my point is Qigong "is" cultivation, that is why in the past it was practice in secrecy behind closed doors in the temples, it is a supplemental tool to transform the body into high energy matter. On the lowest plane it is a bout healing and fitness but on a deep level it is about achieving enlightenment. Practicing Qigong without following the Fa or the Dao is just like exercise , practice Qigong while "following" the Fa or the Dao is true cultivation.

It is true that some kinds of qigong were (and still is) practised behind closed doors, but the reason for that was mainly because of the nead of concentration and non-disturbans. The highest level of qigong aims to unify all qi witch leads to abundant harmony and healing on a universal level, so I don´t agree with you there. Qigong might lead to the state of enlightenment but that is more of a side effect. "Fa" means method by the way.

I am sorry if I have offended you. But I do not eat meat and haven't done so for 30 years. I do believe in Jesus Christ, He is very real and He can be found if you really want to find him. I was in hospital when a baby, but have never had an operation or broken a bone but do get colds and had asthma but after prayer it left. I get sad because people are so cruel to each other and to animals, and we should learn to be compassionate and caring.

A true chi master will not charge you. In the states, it is unlikely you will be able to find a true Chi master, for there are so few of them worldwide. Meditation is a great start. Focus on becoming one with yourself. Focus on the energy that is everywhere, and focus on your own energy. Its hard to put it into words. Just meditate, and the answers will come to you over time.

quantum mechanics suggests that observation changes the energy of electrons, meaning that it changes what they do in our physical reality. Looking at something causes the electron to actually collapse and only exhibit a single locus, aka a quantum or particle. Not observing something causes the electron to expand into a wave. Therefore, thinking about a certain spot in yoru body, such as your stomach, actually causes a change in those electrons.

First off, you even stated yourself that quantum mechanics "suggests" such a phenomenon. Second, electrons aren't changed in any way. It's impossible. If this were possible, we'd be able to change elements into any element we want. For you to say this makes you seem terribly ignorant. Third, what phenomena has proven what you've just proposed? And what principals were established as a result?

Actually the electrons aren't changing other than their location, they are still electrons, for example if I want to observe an electron, I.e. loook at it with my eyes or touch it with my hands, it collapses and forms a single atom, but if i'm not looking at it, it's a wave that stretches into infinity, that's why string theory works, foo, anyways i'm not saying it happens by touching, just saying quantum mechanics is greater than newtonian and it's effect on our reality is not known.

i used to live in china during the time before 1999 event happened. the society was totally in a mess by those practicioners. They put signs, advertisements and propagandas everywhere: people's houses, , public places,even elementary schools!! that was horrible, On their propagandas, they praise Falun Gong and cused people who didnt like FG with horrible languages.
