I will be making my first trip to Glacier Natl. Park in mid June 2011...I'm hoping beyond all hope that the road is open. I've wanted to visit Glacier since I was a little girl and now I'm 29 years old and finally get to go with my husband, brother, and my brother's girlfriend.

I could not tell anyone how much I miss that place.

Seeing it for the first time blew me nor anyone else straight out of the water.

I've been there about 3 times, but that was back in the '90's,

when I lived in Montana for a year at the most.

After that, we headed back to our home state.

I live far away from there now, as I had for most of my life...

I miss it terribly.

I LOVE Montana. I've been there twice (Glacier National Park) and both time we were not able to drive on the Going to the Sun Road because of Snow Drifts. Thanks for sharing this video so I can see what I missed!

I've been on that road soooo many times, I have lost track! I love Montana! One of the most beautiful places in the world!!! though the construction up there was pretty bad! :)

In cinema this road is most famed as playing the role of Colorado's fictional "Sidewinder Pass" in Stanley Kubrick and Diane Johnson's

"The Shining." However, I think the scenery of Colorado far beats Montana in reality.
