  • Much LOVE and RESPECT to those who went through the troubles and trials back during the depression. They really painted the picture for hard times. It shows that no matter how hard life can be dont quit dont give up keep pushing through life will get better sooner or later even if it doesnt seem that way>

  • At any other point in history, this voice would be absolutely legendary in all music, but sadly he's stuck in a time where real country music isnt appreciated at all.

  • There is a great reason why the like button is 3 times bigger than the thumbs down, save yourself the energy and just click the larger one, like i did.

  • this is one of the best written songs ever

  • idk what it is about this song but i get the chills and goosebumps everytime i hear it

  • I wish the generations today could pull together like we did once before, instead of twittering, and bitching about the government. Come on guys, our grandparents did it...let's make them proud!

  • @ChildrenOfFlea A quote once stated, "When the older people complain about how bad our generation is,remind them who raised it." I like the song, but i respect my elders

  • @godblessjordan I'm the younger generation and I complain about how bad it is.

  • @godblessjordan Back in those days you didnt know to not trust the gov. I dont complain but I watch... I was raised in a time and place that I can understand this song. I think the problem is really self entitled people.

  • @billd2504 I always wanted to talk to someone like you. Don;t worry, you may not believe me since im only 11.I am gonna become president and show 'em how this country was supposed to happen. I ain't gonna let the goverment ruin this country, we need someone who respects people and can lead it where we need to be.

  • @godblessjordan Go with it-- when the big dogs come around- jump off the porch and fight them all! Understand 11 years old is the time to put goals in place then spend the rest of your life fighting to get there. Never say I will try always say I will, and mean it. Be decisive even if you make a mistake. Learn from it and move on to the next challenage!

  • @billd2504 I have known this is what needs to happen for 3 years now, so its gonna happen! I aint gonna tel the ppl lies, because lies will get us in more debt. I am studying as much polotics as possible, thanks for the advice!!!

  • Ok, to all the "I grew up to this song" posts, this song came out four years ago, if you "grew up" to this song, you arent grown up yet, get over it.

Also, 70 folks out there must've been thrown off by how amazing this song sounds. Only reason you could downrate this song.

  • 70 people can't see it in color

  • in mississippi thi song is the most played on all stations we turn it all the way up thats our hip hop

  • This is the ultimate tribute to WWII vets. My grandpa was shot down in a B17 and spent a year in a German POW camp. He was one tough ole bird and will be missed. You will all be missed, your generation, your sacrifices, your character just isn't found in America anymore.

  • @MrIndianbolio me too!

  • i live in ballard county and this is what i listen to not stupid rap or hip hop

  • I like many different types of music, including some of the "modern" country and country rock, but I am very glad that there are people like Jamey Johnson who maintain the more traditional country and western style, and do it so well. In fact, I think it is fair to say that he is not just maintaining it, he is keeping it fresh and alive rather then just a tribute to the past.

  • this is a great song love his voice
