anyone else understands the reason behind putting the unlimited theme in practically every song? its cause its also the over the rainbow theme from the WWoO movie. in my opinion, i prefer the original concepts of unlimited being everywhere. now its just a shadow of its former self. one of these days, we need to see the original production in its raw format.

it's always interesting to see how songs like this evolve! I'm glad they took out the "unlimited" verses, it sort of slowed down the intensity of the song. :)

I didnt like the "unlimited" concept thrown into this song though. Otherwise the song sounds the same (and pretty much perfect).

I <3 this version!!!!! But i can see why they mightve cut it out That unlimited sounds younger like defying gravity. Act 2 shes supposed to be older Still <3 this!!!

I agree w/ the general consensus. I love the concept of the unlimited verse, but it gives the song a very strange pace and just isn't necessary.

i like it too. but i heard at the time of the previews in sf the show was like 3 hours long. they had to make it a bit shorter. but doesn't she sound great here???? i wish she sounded this fresh and rested in all the other recordings i've seen/heard.

I was in san francisco last week and saw wicked. I would recomend anyone to go and see it. Teal wicks did a very fine performance and her voice was great. I would see it again if I could.

I love this version wayy better than the original. But I like both versions cause it portrays her "wicked" character. I wished they would add this in the song and the soundtrack. I love it soo much!

Idina Menzel and Kerry Ellis are two totally different actresses. Idina Menzel works off emotion which channels everything else. Kerry Ellis on the other hand works with subtlety. We CAN'T compare them two because they are entirely different!

However, I do prover Idina Menzel (not because she is the original) but I do love Kerry Ellis

@phatchrulesforever I also prefer the Idina passion and power. The character was supposed to be too passionate and brash, or she wouldn't have gotten herself into that much trouble since the beginning if she were a bit self-restrained... the passion is flowing everywhere, to Dr. Dillamond, to animals, to Glinda, to Fiyero... no subtlety or ambiguity... and Idina did it very well!
