  • Kinda creepy... but then again... it's a pretty creepy movie...

  • In English last term my class were learning about media. One thing we learnt was that nothing is put into a movie for no reason. Now I hear all those noises in the background of this song and can picture each ghost child's story; their adventures in the Other World, the way the Beldam sewn the buttons, their deaths.

  • Someone needs to extend this! WITH ME MY PEOPLE?!?!?

  • this melody made me cry it's so beautiful...i could fall asleep to this.

  • I wanna find more music like this. I'm like 17, I love Coraline because I see this... underlying gothic world. Where there is constant... sadness almost, y'know? Even the happy scenes are really sad and melancholic. I guess I can be the depressive type from time to time, but not really. Still it's almost bewitching at times. Draws me in like, a siren. Sorry, I think there's a lot more to Coraline than a simple kids movie. Y'know?

  • @Nightmaremusik I agree

  • @Nightmaremusik if you like this I very much recomend Arjune sound track.

Now it's a bit more actiony in some songs but try 'Buttersea' it's VERY good.

Also try 'army of angels' by nedeshda brennicke.

  • creepy

  • Very spooky. One of my favorite scenes in the whole movie. That tall ghost girl looks as though she still has that expression of horror and pain from when the buttons were sewn into her eyes... yikes.

  • You mustn't believe in ghosts...they're all such awful liars.

  • I remember the first time I watched this movie, It was on halloween, in a movie theater, and it was in 6th grade, my worst year. It scared the life out of me. It still does even today.

  • I meant so it Let us see the Film!!! :P

  • This Spied on our Lives,

    Through the Inetrnet's Eyes

And it Lured us away, with all these Brillaint Soundtracks to Play

It gave us all that we asked for, but we still wanted more

So we let it See the Film

  • scary

  • scariest part trough whole movie.... their facial expresions are so on book that i get scared every time i see them!

  • "Hush, and shush, for the Beldam might be listening!" An interesting fact: "Beldam" is an old English word which means "witch".

  • "She spied on our lives through the little dolls' eyes...."

"....and saw that we weren't happy."

"So she lured us away, with toys, and treats, and games to play. Gave us all that we wanted."

    "But we still wanted more."

"So we let her sew the buttons...."

  • This is perhaps the most brilliantly pulled-off scene in the movie. The ghost children were brilliantly realised, their movements and voices were perfect, and I still shudder when the blanket simply crawls over their bodies...

  • This music is great! It gives me a mystical and creepy feeling....

  • I would love to see kids dress up as the ghost kids for halloween next year.

instead of putting a sheet over their heads, making themselves look all pale and raggedy and the button eyes (obviously without actually sewing buttons)

  • OMG I love this soundtrack! *puts every single song on iPod*

  • *her

  • @123icecreamfreak I only JUST realized that I happen to look a lot like but I already got my costume.FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU-

  • I'm being Coraline for Halloween this year!! :D I have brown eyes just like her! :)

  • i really love where it gets all soft at 0:43 i just picture tht part from the 3rd harry potter movie where he's in the woods and those bats come flying past.. wow lol

  • @kyuubicat5 I love that part in the movie, it's so peaceful. You do mean the bit where he's with Hermione right? :P

  • @hinasakukimi yeah! with the bats X3 in the 3rd movie i think. (wtf someone removed my comment D:)

  • Comment removed

  • download? :3

  • This is sorta Halloween-ish......I like it. 0:43 is my FAVORITE part.

  • 0:43 <3

  • My curtain started to move when I played this song... o.o

  • Don't remember our names, but I 'member my true mommy.

  • this song makes me sad

  • i actually started crying at 0:44 :'( so beautiful and so sad

  • You miss how great this music is because of how enchanting the movie was.

  • “It doth not hurt,” whispered one faint voice.

“She will take your life and all you are and all you care’st for, and she will leave you with nothing but mist and fog. She’ll take your joy. And one day you’ll awake and your heart and your soul will have gone. A husk you’ll be, a wisp you’ll be, and a thing no more than a dream on waking, or a memory of something forgotten.”

  • @TwilightMirror is this from the book?

  • @kittehlovelynear Yeah, it's from the book. The producers didn't add the lines for the movie because they thought it would be too haunting.

  • @TheVelits The movie also changed it to "ate up our lives"- in the book I'm pretty sure the ghost children outright said that the Other Mother got bored of them and then ate them alive, imprisoning their spirits behind the mirror. It's hinted at in the movie though by the lines from the cat and the fact that the Other Mother never eats.

  • @JermzzzyFTW "They're cocobeetles from Zanzibar!"

  • I believe that ghosts are simply manifestations of pure emotions from the living, some were sad, some happy and others angry.

  • I love this soundtrack SO SO MUCH that I actually made up lyrics hahahah =]

  • SCARy as song!

  • SGG:She spied our lives, through the little doll's eyes."

GB:And saw that we weren't happy."

TGG:So she lured us away with treasures"

    SGG:And treats

    GB:and games to play

    SGG:gave all that we asked

    SGG:But we still wanted more..."

TGG:So we let her sew the buttons

  • @CoolCoraline I love this movie! I your username! nice tuch:))))

  • when they said 'she ate our lifes'

i did not understand wat they ment, i mean eatting someone's life.....

  • so we let her sew the BUTTONS

  • at around 0:15 it starts to get creepy!!

  • 3 ppl dont like nice ghost

  • oh really?!? how do I know? I'm only jokeing!!! I mean you just don't know :)

Hiccup: (whispers) don't be afraid... because I have taken hearts and souls... and lives from people, I have actually killed... unless I have told you before... (laughter) I guess, I have.. but not much.... you are my next victim, since I have lots of people I've killed.

    I don't have a weakness!

  • @libbyferrell1 Hiccup? From HTTYD? ...I don't get how he can say that...

  • creeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepy!!!

  • 1:07 gives me chills

  • Hush and shush! For the beldam might be listening!

  • Question: WHY WOULD ANYONE ALLOW SOMEONE TO SEW BUTTONS INTO THEIR EYES!!!

  • @kagomehater4ever So th Other mother will keep them forver and grew tired of them that's when she get the point when she is going to eat them.

  • does anybody else hear rats squeaking at 0:40?

  • i read the book when I was eleven, and the ghost children creeped me out so bad (they're a bit different than how they're portrayed in the movie) I felt bad for the little ghost boy (he forgot whether he was a boy or a girl in the book): "but I 'member my true mommy"

love this music, i mean it's just so perfect

  • @00ammy00 i remember that part so well! it was so sad :( the book is waaay creepier than the movie but i still love the movie :)

  • this sounds creep but its really relaxing...its perfect for me wen i read :) OMG! this makes me soooooooooooo goood

  • this sounds creep but its really relaxing...its perfect for me wen i read :)

  • soooo creepy

  • Damn!! i wish i know where to download this song!! i've already have two coraline songs but i really trying to download this song help!!

  • This song is used for wizard101 videos's part 4 wizard101 movie! ( a bit ) you should try wizard101 videos's videos! they totally rock and this song is pretty creepy....

  • This s☻ng is creepy!! It sends chills d☻wn my back! ☻.☻

  • and reminds me of HTTYD 2... you know like a horror movie..

  • and when I have nightmares about a character from HTTYD.... you know hiccup..

  • reminds me of a horror movie...

  • I thought that this song expressed well,

the three ghosts, because in the book, they say

    for Coraline, who had become

    "Empty".And when I heard it, I felt a

emptiness so great inside the chest, which I

felt myself like I was one of them.

Ps: Sorry, I'm brasilian, and my english is bad.

  • This music gives me the creeps. I have Sleep Paralysis so sometimes I wake up unable to move, and I'll see these Shadow figures coming towards me, or sometimes I'll feel them grab onto me (they're not actually ghosts, the only way I can describe it is that my dreams are being projected into real life in the form of shadows). This song just makes me think of it. Ugh, I feel all paranoid now. XD

  • @ShadowFlame62 Oh my god, I have that too. Wow, I thought I was the only one.

  • She spied on our lives through the little dolls eyes and saw that we were unhappy lol creepy

  • this was very sad to them

  • I remembered awaking in the middle of the night because I knew my recently deceased grandmother was in my bedroom. I couldn't see or hear anything but in the darkness -I KNEW- she was there. She wanted to be with me, to accompany me.

But I told her to please go away, because I was frightened.

I'm so sorry I couldn't hear her (never nothing like that happened to me again), but that was not the time to take logical decisions. I'm so afraid of ghosts...

  • Hush, and shush. For the Beldamn might be listening.

  • I know how 2 play dis on my violin i also know how 2 play "you know i love you" and on the end with the spookiness i do dis thing 2 it where it screeches and my family just freaking hates it i scared my cousin once haha

  • "She spied our lives, through the little doll's eyes."

"And saw that we weren't happy."

"So she lured us away, with treats"

    "And games to play"

"She gave us everything we asked."

    "But we still wanted more..."

"So we let her sew the buttons."

  • @Zeratul417 this part made me shiver

  • @Zeratul417 That's deep.

  • @Zeratul417 nice and bone chilling.

  • @Zeratul417 awesome

  • @Zeratul417 "She said that she loved us."

    "But she locked us here>"

    "And ate up our lives"

  • We played an excerpt of this for marching band!!!

  • @jimmy4010 Do you still have the music or score for it?

Im trying to write this out as a show for our Indoor Percussion show.

  • @phalli15 Sadly no. The front ensemble played this as an intro. I play trombone

  • This song is so beautiful... it makes my heart beat.

  • When my sister & I were younger we were all about the paranormal. But then one night I woke up for no reason and saw a shadow rocking back and forth on my bed petting a puppy of something.

I was freaking out and ducked under my covers. I don't know if it was a hallucination or not but the next day when we went to church I filled a cup with holy water and started sprinkling it around the house. Especially our bedroom

What flips me out more is the entrance to the attic in in our room.

  • @karenpchrd

Scary! Man! I hope everything turns out okay. I saw a shadow once--I think I was dreaming, but my eyes were open, so I saw dream things. I looked it up and it's called hypnopompic dreaming.

That dream was scary, because the shadow person had red eyes, and was in my bed.

If I ever start writing horror though I'll keep that dream in mind.

  • @Serasia that is scary as hell

o-o reading this made me fell like i was going to pee

  • @wonder2foxnight

Sorry about that, I didn't mean to creep you out that much. But I should have realized that with this music and a story like that, probably not a good idea to tell it...I was also listening to this at night then, I think--also not a good idea since I do get scared easily sometimes.

  • I was wondering around my house at midnight without the lights on because I needed a drink. The moon wasn't out and the street light that is just by our house was broken and needed fixing so the place was pitch black. My house is 150 yrs old. I passed a little door that held all this randow crap like old telephones and spare pens and stuff and it reminded me so much of Coraline. Then my sister decided to be funny and play this exact song that was recorded on my phone while I was out & scare me!!

  • This had to be one of the scariest parts for me because it showed you what type of woman that the other mother really was and she really did to children who sewed buttons on their eyes

  • This had to be one of the scariest parts for me because it showed you what type of woman that the other mother really was and she really did to children who sewed buttons on their

  • thank you for the upload!! love this soundtrack

  • I think of the Haunted Mansion music when I hear this...I think they used some of the same type... Love it!!

  • my favorite!

  • So pretty <3

  • In the book, so is the room in the mirror just big enough so you can sit or stand in it, but in the movie, the room is so large that there is a bed in it. Why did they changed it so much? and I wish you could have heard more about the ghost childrens story, their memories and so on, as in the book.

  • @TigerwomanXsweden We get it.

You read the book. Congrats. Now get over it.

  • @Clocksworthbunnie And why can't I write that without getting anyone complaining about it???????

  • every time i hear this track i get chills down my spine

  • crrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrepy

  • This song is a great mixture of what people think of ghosts.

Obviously, most people think of them as creepy, which explains the creepy parts of the song. Another part is the mystery of what they are: someone scaring themselves or an actual spirit of a deceased person.

The other part of the song (my favorite part) is the sadness, and that starts about 0:44. Most people think that ghosts are demonic, when all they really want is our help.

  • @ShadyNightCrow your right..! i neva thought about this song that way... :O

  • @ShadyNightCrow That is so true! Ghosts are always like the enemy, something to "beware", to a lot of people, and to repel if they see one...but they could just be lonely, miserable, and in need of help or company. I like how you interpreted the song, it's very interesting ^_^

  • @ShadyNightCrow 0:44 is my favorite too, fantastic comment!

  • @ShadyNightCrow just saying not all ghosts. some just want you to leave them alone and end up scaring you. some ghosts are strong demons. =O i would know LOL

  • @ShadyNightCrow HELP FOR WHAT!??!??!

  • @5Kwame Moving on, I guess.... :/

  • Eerily beautiful... <3

  • you can hear the ghost children playing with the toys and winding them up

  • ive seen a ghost it was in my room she was just in front of me at 11:15 and then she tried to talk and i heard this music playing in my head when i saw her. I was pretty scared...

  • this is meh favorite music of the the movie :D

  • 1 thumbs down...

The Other Mother got a youtube account?

  • 1 thumbs down? lol shame on u i love this song

  • The Beldam, hag or witch, The Seamstress or Other Mother

  • I wanna see the full clip when she met the ghosts but all I can find is cut like.. "Don't remember our name, bu-". :|

  • To be honest,The other mother is the best villian, cause she teaches kids a lesson that they cant get everything that they want!

  • @girlymaker that's not the lesson!

the lesson is be careful what you wish for.

because if something seems too good to be true it usually is. this movie makes a point of that.

the other mother made it look like her world was perfect when it fact is wasn't it was far from it

  • @magicman25103

i know the lesson, but since it was her world...

  • @girlymaker

the lesson and the morale of the story is be careful, what you wish for because nothing in life is perfect, be happy with what you have

  • @magicman25103

*facepalm*she already knew that...she was just talking about the villian

  • this amazingly creepy

  • I think this part of the movie is more eeriely unsettling than flat-out frightening in the movie, though I can see how some people would find it scary. =) I mean, it is a scene involving dead children within a children's movie, that's pretty dark no matter how you look at it. XP

  • awesome ^^

  • This reminds me a lot of the track "Cursed Hana Valley" from the game Okami. VERY creepy, both of them.

  • whenever i hear this song i get flashbacks of ghost children

  • oooooohh its soooo scaryyy!!!! xD

  • Love this movie :] Don't understand how some people who are like 18 can find this scary in any way O.o ... I mean really, its JUST a movie. Wanna see something scary? Go watch Saw, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, and all those other REAL scary movies. [although I haven't seen The Exorcism of Emily Rose myself... and Saw isn't even scary.... Just realistic and a bit intense]

  • Did u just say its just a movie and then tell us to watch another movie to be scared ?

  • @Ghostblood1

The Exorcism of Emily Rose wasn't very scary at all. It was a bit thrilly (yeah, I make up words XD) but not very scary. Quite sad too. But then, I don't scare very easily, so not many things are frightening in my eyes.

Oh, and Saw? Not realistic or intense >.> I hate that entire franchise. I can't watch them without being all "Oh yeah...That was totally scary...An old man hiding behind a ugly ass doll, SO scary...Daft fucking movie producers..." It's somewhat amusing actually.

  • @erinxevolution the exorcism of emily rose wasn't scary no but i just have to say this. my name is emily rose. i just thought i'd say that. :p bye

  • @SilentHillEmzie

I NEED AN YOUNG PREIST AND A OLD PREIST!

  • Thinking how young the ghosts look like and how old Wybie's grandmother is, those poor children have been there locked up for some pretty long time.

  • If i ever find a door i've never seen before in my house..i'm not gonna open it either way because of this movie XD

  • I CAN PLAY THIS SONG ON THE PIANO!!!!!!!

  • @Funkyfamily5 cool! could you show us thru a Youtube vid?

  • @Funkyfamily5 do a how to!

  • @Funkyfamily5 cool

  • when the movie started the movie thearter whent black compleatly balck only a little bit of light and at the end when the lights when back on my eyes where wide open with fear

  • ohh goshh i couldnt sleep when i heard this song i was crying alone thinkin of my sisters child who died :(

  • When I saw this part in theatres it freaked me out so much.

  • So sad, to creepy

how sad must it bee to just remember your "true" mommy.

    Awesome movie!

  • @Djedefra I know- I think the little boy's tone of voice was the saddest...and the facial expression too.

Anyone notice that the sweet ghost girl's expression is kinda...less horrified than the others'? I wonder why that is.

(Also why is she called the "sweet" ghost girl?)

This soundtrack is so cool I can't stop listening to it!

  • @wizardwarrior713

I think because she believes in Coraline, and may actually after all those years feel "hope" again. Or maybe the girl recognises herself in Coraline.

  • @Djedefra that ghost was Wybie's great aunt right/ His grandmother's missing twin sister? Just want to be sure.

  • @mothaOmess I think so, it would surely fit in the story.

  • @mothaOmess

    Yup.

Coraline even says so when Wybie comes back to get the doll.

"...And then there was Huck Finn Junior and this Little Rascals chick with all these bows in her hair and-*gasp*-Grandma's missing sister! I think I just met her."

  • I just saw this movie. Little children should not watch it! It was effing creepy! But I remember reading this book in like, 4th grade and I loved it. xD

  • aww i feel sorry 4 the ghost children. lost for ever :(

  • this song is creepy

  • 1:02 - 1:03 : ohno! the buttons!!!!

  • Hush and shush, for the beldam might be listening.

You... you mean the other mother?

    who are you?

Dont remember our names ... but i 'member my true mommy

    Why are you all here?

he Beldam. She spied on our lives through the little dolls eyes, and saw that we weren't happy. So she lured us away with treasures and treats and games to play; Gave all that we asked and we still wanted more, so we let her sew the buttons. She said that she loved us, but she locked us here and ate up our lives.

  • The best OST I've heared since Lord of the Rings

  • "Be quiet miss...the Beldam may
