When the killer stabs Casey in the chest you can easily realise that he used a fake rubber knife because you can see it bending when he stabs her.

You did not see it bend because you did not pay attention enough at 0:22. And the way he handles the knife to bend it correctly when he stabs her prooves he used a fake knife.
