  • i think that the HQ Real Feel is soft sounding, but would it be soft enough if i wanted to practice while my parents were asleep?

  • I have a remo pad... SO LOUD. i GUESS i got the wrong one... seems like everyone loves the HQ. Any recommendations for practice/price.

  • Mapex, and Vic Firth are the best!

  • AWESOME, thank you very much for taking the time to do this, outstanding eval!

  • HQ FTW!

  • I love my invader, but I also want a quiet pad with less rebound to work on chops

  • Invader is better than all of these combined. I hate the HQ Realfeel with a burning passion. HAaha.

  • Is that a transformer holding the vic-firth?

  • Vic Firth is my favourite.

  • Love the sandals ')

  • The Remo Putty Pad should be in there too, it's fantastic!

  • you should play quads

  • which one is the blue?

  • 0:27 nice tie!!!! :)

  • pillow forever ;)

  • Ludwig p4 > everything

  • evans real feel..

  • its about the invaders now lol

  • 4 me the red one sounds great but i used to real feels in my knee....also great and versatil..

  • New version!

  • HQ RealFeel, by far.

  • I bought the Evans Real Feel (Guess the same as the HQ-RealFeels in this video!) today and its very awesome! Small, not noisy and very good feel ! I suggest it! You can see me drum on it on my channel if you wanna have some more knowledge about the sound!

  • HQ all the way

  • The blue pad sound sweet :)

  • @guillex94 yeah it does

  • i use a remo 12 inch pad

  • you dont need pads, you just had to hit your drum throne xD

  • mapex pad like shit

  • I recommend an HQ RealFeel. I have one. It's nice and quiet,(so I'm not exploding the house with my Remo one)has great feel, and has an additional hard chopbuilding side. It's good stuff.

  • Sweet tie where did u get it?

  • Come on! You forgot the Invader!... these are all gum rubber pads.

  • mapex souds like a gunshot

  • HQ - the best

  • why are you using your back fingers to roll?????? >.<

  • @OptiTron43 Music is freedom..no rules dude. Its not 'wrong'.. i use fingers when I'm rolling at about 900+ bpm(on a drumometer)

  • @Therysinx I highly doubt you roll 900+ bpm.

  • @malcolmgetscrazy W/e. Its not hard. youtube.com/watch?v=A0JpTeUO1ik

  • @Therysinx That video is at 153 BPM, not 900. The number of beat divisions within each bar do not change the BPM, only the NPS.

  • @Therysinx Nine hundred beats per minute. That's pretty fucking hard. No one goes over like 350.

  • @Therysinx So basically you do 16ths at 60 bpm. That is not the same as 900 bpm.

  • @OptiTron43 I see were your getting at. And im not saying your technique is bad. im just saying....Damn!

Me and my sis are in drum corps and we are used to using good technique. Its just that when i saw this i crapped my pants. Your French gripping i think and using your back fingers on simple rolls, when they should only be used to HELP your hand roll at faster tempos like 180 or 200. And i know what you mean about how music is freedom yada-yada. But yeah..

    And 900+ BPM's.....?.......really?

  • where are your ProLogix pads??? They are better than any of those combined.

  • HQ or Vic Firth????

  • Wich one has the most bounce?

  • Probably the HQ.

  • i knw now never to try a mapex pad gosh that was the loudest thing in there prac pad nothin ppl are gonna hear that for sure which is what there meant to not do

  • so many pads,so little time

  • I really like the Vic firth pad. It's clear and articulate and really exposes any discrepancies between your hands... like this guy obviously has. You can hear it really clearly on the Vic pad.

  • я так карандашами по столу отстучать могу ,чо за херня!!?!?!?

  • imo Vater pads feel exactly like a marching snare. They do have a little more noise than the HQ pads though.

  • Moongels...the best.

  • @Grooovin1 was thinking about one of those. worth the money?

  • Vic Firth ftw

  • Just like korea to try to deafen you before they let you see anything of theirs.

  • HQ's my favorite

  • you forgot the Remo practice pad!

  • @TheMexChipmunk ha, those are just as loud as the Mapex one hes got here

  • The mapex is obviously the best one. Nothing can compare.

  • I have the HQ Realfeel...it has 2 sides. The one shown here is the quiet, soft side, and it also has a harder flip side. I take it in business trips, and makes those boring hotel stays a bit more fun.

  • I like the 3rd, 4th, 7th, and 9th ones!!

  • mapex and peace were HORRIFIC!!!:/

for me the best 3 were:

3- VF PadGD, nice size and tone

2-Orenge 6, nice noise, maybe a bit too quiet so you cant hear what your doing, and

1-HQ RealFeel, nice balance of everything.

  • vic firth and the HQ are the best

  • dw is the best

  • I've got the one on the bottom left Vic firth pad

  • I vote for the 3 ones of the middle row and the HQ from the upper row, the Mapex one is AWFUL and the black one next to the Mapex, sounds like if you were doing crossticks rimshots. My final choice, the HQ, is not noisy but lets you hear what are you doing, so you can listen to your progress and mistakes.

  • iPad.

  • i didnt even know you were hitting a drum pad when you got to the sunflower xD

  • I learned nothing from this video about the pads other than their volume. Nothing about the feel, response, low end clarity, design, pretty much nothing about anything.

  • who are you trying to trick!?! the second one is only a chair...

  • ok ok man stop we got it!!!

  • I got a realfeel 2 sided best drum pad ever

  • you might check out the WOW SYSTEM PAD

  • just thought i'd drop in and say that your doubles were PERFECT :L

sooo controlled! loveit! :) oh and i have the HG-realfeel and its the best pad i've used so far!

  • for me the best one always had been the realfeel

  • Sunflower!:D

  • I got the mapex thing. It is loud as hell!!!!

  • invader > everything

  • @Deraek no...thats retarded.

  • you know what the best practice pad is? your drumset stool... soft, and has low rebound for good practice...

    and nice tie

  • i dont understand how this is useful. Unless you're choosing a practice pad on the basis of what it sounds like, and who cares about that anyways?

  • @shannyfanny46

That's the purpose ov this video. That's it. You're retarded.

  • lol. That mapex pad sound like gun shots.LOL.HORRIBLE.

  • i have the hq realfeel and the dw drums multi surface pad at the front. both work great!

  • I would have watched the whole video if he actually started playing something...

  • What is that vic firth stand thats so sturdy looking I want one! :D

  • vic firth is the best one

  • @TheJDaniel7 nah man. either invader or HQ for me

  • @jakubrox19 actialy imean for me

  • @TheJDaniel7 no really?

  • Invader Pads are the only way to go.

  • God damn mapex. What the fuck. Caps lock and shit

  • awesome vid, very helpful, tnx...

And by the way, which one has the most natural rebound?

  • I like that "Sunflower" pad, What exactly is it?

  • tell that mapex pad to shut the fuck up!

  • @Buhzie15 thts the one i have its awesome!

  • @Buhzie15 YES!

  • holy shit that vic firth stand is a fuckin monster.

  • I have the H-Q RealFeal t feels real and its quit so you can practice without a alot of noise

  • What is that "SunFlower" practice pad?

  • For me, I liked the HQ-RealFeels, I think it sounds softer, dosent make to much sound, which is better because you can practice with less noise. Im buying one of those. Thanks for posting this video.
