  • you should have this as a mouse pad then the computer mouse can charge when you are using it without any cables from the mouse

  • @ETonZan If it was real they all woud say in TV

  • If only we can find a way to hook this up to the earth's magnetic resonance and use the Sun's resonance as power. Egor! He's alive!

  • @keithildinho

Then we all become zombies and The Cell comes to real life.

  • fake, you can clearly see the cable connected to iPads . . .

  • @Broadsmile1987 it's not fake its totally real you can google it

  • @Broadsmile1987

The cable goes to a loop of copper wires in the back. Your argument is invalid.

Good thing these devices use solid state drives.

  • @Masamunecb Your argument is invalid as You are wrong, sir.

  • awesome

  • How long will it take before this technology is in every wall of every building?

  • room of the future? TAKE ME TO THE ROOM OF THE FUTURE!!!

  • @Afrotechmods Look up the difference between Radiative wireless power (think Tesla) and non-radiative wireless power (these guys). Most of your questions are explained on WiTricity's website.

  • Then with the monitor demo, there are devices being powered well over 1 foot away from the primary coil, in a position far off to the side where there would be almost no flux. I don't see how it is possible to power those gadgets in such a configuration unless you are feeding incredible amounts of power into the primary coil, or maybe there are extra coils hidden somewhere?

  • I've worked on wireless charging designs for many years and there are a couple of things here that seem odd... you said that the thin coil on the ipad is stuck right on the metal surface of the tablet. The metal should be absorbing almost all of the magnetic flux - how is it possible that the system can resonate?

  • like this comment if you hate charging wires

  • he has one planted between his eyes O'O

    LoL

  • This is so amazing and revolutionary that scare me...

  • the biggest problem with this technology is it's short range and the magnetic field produced is almost equivalent to the earth's magnetic field so it has no harmful effect whatsoever ....

  • love the tv demo

  • Wireless charging? This is amazing!

  • Science and Progress.

  • probably no more side effects than a plasma TV

  • Apple is going to steal it

  • And hours and hours, days of exposure to this "field" have no effect opn the user?

  • Does it has any side effect on human body?

  • @youandi012

You'll probably get cancer if your around it for a long amount of time.

  • Great, but what about the safety and non-ionizing radiation?

  • Can I lay my WiiTrcity ready devices on my induction cooker and charge them ? :D

  • This technology is old. Nikola Tesla describes the fundamental principles over 100 years back. Also my electric toothbrush based on the same charging procress.

  • @EIMOOK Nicely said :)

  • What is the max distance of charging?

  • But will it blend?

  • An charging adapter that plugs onto a wall power point would be useful

  • @cowboybarkk So I assume you are using to charge ur devices already?

  • this is slick!

  • I want to see the room of the future...Haha

  • That is amazing. I am impressed, but I have one question.

Have the magnetic field a negative effect on human itself?

  • @apcorom Let's hope not.

  • I would love to see every house come with a built in wireless charger so u dont need wires at all. if its in your house it chargers and you could have a lock on the charger so if so one tries to get free power is impossible

  • I saw this video back on Ted.com when it first came out. and i was amazed. I have been waiting for this for so long, i can't wait for this to go commerical.

  • That was a fast boot!

  • @andreiagapi well it is an imac

  • This guy put me to sleep. They need a better demonstrator.

  • Nice concept. Did he just called tablet device "He"? lol

  • I can't wait until you and Apple build this into future devices, awesome!

  • Very innovative, technology never ceases to amaze me.

  • @MarrkDaviid this tech exists since the early 1900s

  • .wmv

  • WiTricity. you never cease to amaze me. Your company is fantastic, and I cannot wait to see what you and Apple can come up with in the next few years. You are the future of Technology. Keep doing what you're doing. And if there's anything that a college student in Florida can do to help your business in any way, please don't hesitate to ask.
