  • Heard this song on Skins U.S.

  • What is the instrument at the beginning of the video? I hear drums, xylophone , what ever those crystal things are by the guy at the keyboard.

  • I LOVE THAT DRUM SOLO. WHO IS THAT DRUMMER

  • I love drum solo. who is that drummer?

  • @mimiBeaker5 The drummer is Trevor Murrell.

  • @ogmuk thanks : )

  • I love the 80's.

  • more pls

  • I've uploaded new videos of Night of the Proms 2010 in HD quality. For videos of artists like John Fogerty (Creedence Clearwater Revival), Barry Hay (Golden Earring) and Grace Jones, check out my channel.

  • Awesome!!!

  • Great!!!

  • Thanks for posting loved them in the 80's they're still great. Could someone tell me what Night of the Proms is all about?

  • fuck , good version the best in my opinion!!! woww~!

  • @StopTheClocksOficial It's the only version that should have been allowed to be called "Shout." Except for One Republic. They did an alright version of this song.

  • Hello gang I've come to get my fix of T4F!

  • They actuall have one of the best drummers in the wolrd

  • the bass and drums on this version is HOT!!

  • You cannot compare Tears for Fears and Depeche Mode, the former are more into embracing Beatlesque melodies while the latter are still mainly electronica.

  • i know im just sayin

  • 最高!!何度も見てしまう!

  • Super version...!!!

  • i do like tears for fears but i find depeche mode a little better when it comes to live concerts

  • How can you compare the two bands? They're a bit different from each other.

  • I really wish those three back up singers were a little more professional and stayed out of Roland's space during his guitar solo at the end.

He didn't look very comfortable with those girls being in his space.

  • cheers!!!!!!

  • Interviewed in The Trouser Press when the album was released, Roland and Curt spoke extensively about different types of treatment that they were involved with that dealt with family problems. I guess they want to distance themselves from their youth. Just listen to the words. All about their parents.

  • Yes it is. Roland said in an interview that Shout is about shouting out against things that disturb you from a political standpoint.

  • i was totally there

  • you shouldnt have to sell your soul!!!

    right on baby...........

  • Amazing!

  • This song must only be played with the volume at "10" !! Great tune! Brings back great college memories! Thanks for the post!

  • So right! Needs to be loud!!!

    Lots of great memories!

  • Bingbonggg I'd like to respect your opinion, but this is one of the most truly epic fist pumping songs ever. This version doesn't really show it, even though it's good in it's own right, you should check out the original studio recording where the voices carry more weight than the instruments.

  • The Roland's voice seems good yet...

  • I love the arrangments

  • are they still split or are the seperate again.

i know the broke away and did there own things but did they ever settle their differences and get back together

  • Yes they did get back together. Roland got in touch with Curt through his manager. Their first musical endevour since Seeds of Love was called Everybody Loves A Happy Ending released in 2004 and they've been touring together since that time.

  • sick if i was alive when this came out i would be hooked...big influence on todays talent..sound wise

  • Great band

  • Super Video....

    sie können es noch...very good

  • Awesome! I wish they can still do more music like this.

  • He did not! This song is a protest song.

  • I didn't see anything wrong or weird during this performance. The three girls were just having fun while singing. Nothing wrong with that. Haven't seen any attempt to grind anybody, haven't seen any horiified faces. All fun and good!

  • Now that was in will always be the best sound of music

  • Awesome, indeed!!

  • They have been one of the best groups

  • This is a brill song and what an awsome arrangement!!

  • The 3 back-up singers were unprofessional and the choreography of the other singers was just terrible!

  • Oh I agree with you. I liked the backup singers until close to the end of the song, 5:11, where two of them tried to grind against Roland. Notice that they didn't try that with Curt.

It looked like Roland was horrified when that happened.

  • rofl. you see his face for 2-3 seconds and all you can see is a guy focused on his solo. if that's the face of horror, then okay.

  • That's not what I mean Bobby. I swear I saw the look on Roland's face like "what are you two doing? I'm married!"

  • well checked it out seen this video 2 maybe 3 times dident notice.

but i couldent say that they tried to grind roland. got closer nothing else. and curt was 10 - 15 ft away. watch it again babe

  • I know how far away Curt was. Reread what I just said. I said "notice that they didn't try that with Curt?"?

  • I love TFF but this over the top arrangement kills the energy of the song and turns it into cabaret LA style.

  • oooh yea - grrrreat!

  • though its 80's, but 80's still rule

  • I've uploaded a higher quality version of this video. You can find it in the Video Responses.

  • I still love this song. I don't care what anyone says. They've still got it.

  • I agree...great performance...with the different sounds...great song.

  • I don't understand how it is that people say Curt has lost some of his accent? He still has his accent it's just not as pronounced as Roland's accent is.

  • they still do good after all these years

  • On the upside that Marimba player is excellent.

  • what type of music is this :) ?

  • It's an orchestral arrangement.

  • Uhh these girls that are dancing around Roland do know that he has a wife and two teen aged boys at home don't they?

  • are they still out ?..i would like to go thier concert^^ look cool~

  • Curt said that there are currently no plans to record another TFF record. But I sincerely hope that they will because I could use another TFF fix. :)

  • Or should I say my "T.F.F.F." or my Tears For Fears fix.

  • P>S .. I don"t mind watching you and Curt singing in diapers if you don"t,,, HA HA!!

  • I love you Curt!!! Your so fun to watch,, I love you Roland, whether I know you or not. This was so wonderful to watch!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Good Job. Thank you for posting this.

  • its more nice if everbody had write in english(or try like me)

  • sorry to say, but Disturbed s mix its more powerfull...

  • Oh come on! This is the real thing. What Disturbed did was just hideous.

  • q gonorrea... es mucho mejor la de disturbed

  • its maybe more powerful but its also an other style of music ;)

and i like this song more in this style

    greetz

  • And you know what the best part about this version of Shout is? We actually get to hear Curt singing instead of him being overpowered by Roland. Not that Roland's singing is a bad thing but Roland's vocal range is a lot stronger than Curt's vocal range.

  • Shout, shout....let it all Out!!!

  • These are the things

    I can do without

    come on

    I'm talking to you

    come on.

  • I hope we live to tell the Tale...

    btw...Great reply....

  • Oh thank you.

  • man this is AWESOME ! It actually sends chills through my spine !

  • brilliant band...seen em live when this music was new in the charts....

    cheers for posting

  • See unlike other singers they can actually sound GREAT singing live and stuff :D 5*

  • Songs from the Big Chair. Greatest Album ever!

  • Stellar!!OMG!!!TALENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • let it all out.....

  • great song ruined by the stupid choreography of the back up singers.

  • See i think its in all backup singers contracts to do silly dances and ...well make asses of themselfs. Have you ever seen the "going to Califonia video" the live TFF concert the back up woman in that are the WORST!!!

  • I liked the backup singers until they started to dance around Roland.

  • lol yes thats what i think.

also i wish this show was on dvd i would love to see the whole thing, be great to see an orchestral arrangement of there classic songs mmm would be nice.

  • Yeah I don't think encircling around and attempting to grind against Roland was all that appropriate.

Did you see the way Roland reacted? He looked like he was asking them "what are you doing?"?

  • I think one of them was trying to pry the other two off of Roland.

Roland looked like he was horrified.

  • Kick-ass performance! Pure gold!

    ~F~

  • awesome live performance

  • TOUR IN AMERICA PLEASE!!!!

  • Sing it Roland and Curt

  • God I love that guitar solo

  • Perfect simple guitar solo that fits the song melodically

  • great, they are always great, they will always be great!!! Roland´s voice is distinctive. love them

  • that is the best of this song ive ever heard

  • That sure is a lot of people playing this song at once.

  • Has anybody heard the version done by the rock band Disturbed?

  • that wuz funny when roland at the end wuz going "thank u very very very very..."

  • I was just reading the comments and someone said that Roland doesn't sing as well as he used to. Well I have to disagree. His voice has gotten stronger over the years and it sounds better than ever! And as far as them getting old, well DUH! Haven't we all?!

  • the voice sounds the same to me, just different sound systems and devices... make it different... about this getting old, from what i know i feel sorry the song is getting so old and it is good and it is not so well known :(

  • I know if only bands today were half as good as Tears for Fears

  • just goes to show how stupid some people can be

  • Prefered it when Curt sang rather than roland

  • tears for fears forever

  • best band ever.

  • They have great drummers at NOTP and this is fantastic song XD

  • I saw them live at NOTP in Madrid, and they were the best of the gig.

    Roland was great as ever.

  • man they got old......... when i think of my childhood...this is the first song that pops into my head....

  • well, people do get old, lol

  • hahaha...Thats the damn truth....i'm proof! lol....

  • Back then, during this concert, the phone rings: Hi it's your Mom and Dad, listen to this... One of those all time favourites songs!

  • it cuts off 3;09 mints its your computer

  • I think tears for fears are fantastic band dont anyone get me wrong but roland doesnt sing good as he used 2

  • yes he does

  • I missed that on Night of the Proms Spain, what a great version of this tune.

  • Thank you very very very very..... :)

  • I bet the Dutch coffee shoppes did a good business before and after this show!

  • I wish I could have been there. What a great performance of SHOUT. Curt and Roland, rock!

  • why does it cut off at 3:09

  • its your computer

  • works now thanks.. stupid dell laptop :P
