nice job spoiling it! well i alredy beted it sooo..... no It isnt the last one on account that it says on case" the next resident evil installment". Since resident evil is old they would have said " the stunning coclusion to the resident evil series!"
You miss the point. RE5 is not what RE was about when it first came out. RE was scary as shit and every zombie could kill you if you didn't pay attention. RE5 and 4 have been more like a shooter. The only thing that scared me was that guy with the chainsaw.
Fair review mate. Regards to the debate about action verus horror, I equate RE5 to Alien and Aliens -- we've had all the scares in earlier instalments, now lets have some fun with it. Aliens was a natural progression, as I believe RE5 will be. Just enjoy it.
That's a very good point, and it's fair to say that games get panned if they don't evolve, so the progression towards more action-oriented play is understandable. I can't help but miss the scares a bit though...
sounds like a fair review. Im still excited, this is gonna be super fun. The scary part doesn't bother me since i never got scared in any other re games...even 4. One more day..
Ah, see, the first two RE games made my skin crawl a few times, and made me jump a lot, so I suppose I just miss that a little as the games have gottne more action-packed. But you're right, scares or not, RE5 is good fun.
Hey Leisure Lab!! I agree with you and I'm a HUGE R.E. fan. I miss the slow pace atmosphere of the earlier games, but when R.E.4 came out I was all over it!! So if this is the same then that's great, but I just hope they keep evolving the story and game play so we can have a lot more Resident Evil goodness in the future!! Good Review!!
I'm picking it up and I am excited. I know that it's more Action than Survival Horror but that is not a big deal for me. The only thing I will miss is the Typewriters. The Stand Still and Shoot aspect of it was never a problem for me.
I always enjoyed the tension building of the stand-and-shoot aspect as well, although it's become progressively more distracting as the baddies have sped up over the course of the series.

yea, its not a suvival horror game anymore. You were spot on with that, but i think we all expected it to be action oriented. Good stuff

Well, you know, it's a four star game when we were perhaps expecting a five star offering.
