  • @Carmen95635 Cliff Richard from England early 60's

  • this is aload of rubbish fist and last time i will listen to it jimandot

  • @jimandot What you must bear in mind is that this was 50 years ago, and without Hank Marvin, a lot of people would not have played guitar.

  • Grown up with his songs and films. Nice nostalgia!!

  • the shadows are too hip for this corny shit

  • They need to bring this Music back in the 21st centurey I hate HIP HOP and RAP

This should be brought back fr the people that love ENGLISH language,

  • It's not cool to bag cliff...he went on to do wired for sound and carrie doesnt live ere anymore...but this makes me crave a bit of merseyside rock n roll for some reason...the benefit of hindsight perhaps...

  • Nice!!! why do all these people only show up when i'm in the twenties? they have been around for almost a century!!!

    Thank You YOUTUBE!

  • jajaja no podes jajaja

  • tema para un sueño jajaja como

  • @cesarpado14 what do you mean?

  • Say, didn't that guitarist eventually play with Flock of Seagulls? ;-)

  • christiano ronaldo twin

  • Wow, lol! They look like such geeks, but I still love this.

  • sugary goo.

  • Cliff Richard was super popular in Hong Kong in the early 1960's. As a matter of fact, he was crowned as "英國貓王" - The British Elvis. Too bad, he was not well-received in the U.S.

  • I bet the chicks wet there Knickers over him then!

  • no mames! si ese guey no es puñal, entonces yo soy fisico nuclear....

  • Race, religion, sexuality shouldt matter when it comes to music, music is about feeling and emotion, not something that interferes with someones private affairs like sexuality. It shouldnt matter if someone is gay or straight as long as a person is happy and comfortable with their life thats all that mtters, I'm 16, I get it, I'm straight, so whatever problems people older than me have are just too immature

  • jajajajajajajajaja...

liff richard no es gay simplementee S -E -N-C-I-B-L-E

  • cliff richard sin duda it´s gay

  • cette chanson que les chats sauvage ont repris , ( c'est pas sérieux ! )

génial et bcp de nostalgie !!!

  • Interesting combination Fender instruments with Vox amps.

  • I can't believe you

    it's a joke

    that was the combo MORON

  • yes very hehe

no other works for the shadows

  • Anyone out there with more footage from "Cliff Richard Show"?

  • he look very scared and not to be wanting to look the audience ... I think I feel the same if I sing in front of these bunches

  • Back in the day when British singers sang with American accents. I prefer the British accents.

  • Cameo!

  • Cliff Richard had never been popular in the US but in England and Europe, he was in the kIng of pop in the 60's-70's. Backed by The Shadows music in his early years and Norrie Paramor the orchestral maestro, his mentor, Cliff Richard was brought to stardium and still remains one of the best pop singers England has ever known. He really deserves his title "SIR" !

  • Cliff Richard and the Shadows did have a slight cult following in the states. I do believe the place where they had their most cult following was along the east coast and midwest of the U.S. where his singing voice was similiar to the speaking voice of many mid-western and northeast teens (that were also migrating -- especially to Florida w/ their parents) at the time.

  • I know my older sisters (one who is 16 years older and another is 7 years older than me -- I was born in 1963 so I'll let you figure out the dates) had a few 45 rpms with Cliff Richard & The Shadows taken from the recreation center, in a Gulf coast town in FL, that my dad was the director of. I wish I had kept some of those Cliff Richard & The Shadows' 45 rpms when sold a house in FL back in 1993 -- but stupidly I didn't. But I do remember the name of the singer & group well on those 45's.

  • i love cliff richard but he looks like christina ricci XD

  • LMFAO! Separated at birth?

  • Great singer and great song.

  • thunderagent67: aint you the lucky one that Cliff returned to UK - if that is where you come from - he is a gem and a legend

  • he did tour the u.s. and got buried in the bill(like 14th on the ticket)so he came back to england dejected. it toook the greatness of the BEATLES to crack the u.s. market

  • ufff rough crowd :|

  • This is my favourite Cliff's song. I was brazen enough to send him my very own recorded version last year, and would you believe it, I got an acknowledgement from his Office.

  • no one cares

  • Killjoy! Throwing cold water on some one's enthusiasm which was expressed in good faith and with absolute naivete...I am sorry your reaction can only be qualified as peevish, but thank you anyway for taking the pains to reply to it!

  • Actually kickedsazabi is wrong. I do care. I think that shows that Cliff is the consummate gentleman.

Whereas kickedsazabi is the consummate rude, crude dud er uh I mean dude.

  • Both Cliff and The Shadows are fantastic

  • this is a cover of a song dont know who the originals were anyway his career is 51 years not bad n he still looks good

  • cosquillitas jajajajaja

  • @carlosapson20 Cosquillistas no fue mas que un "fusil" mexicano de sta cancion,

Reconozco que fue UN BUEN FUSIL

  • If he toured the USA , Back in the early Sixties, He would've been up there with Elvis, Rick Nelson. ETC....I know he toured the USA, But, Not in the begginning. They''re Great. "By The Way" Back Then it was the style to have Female Singers like that in The Background.

  • Love you cliff, please come out!

  • get rid of the female singers and this would be much better

  • I love the shadows (and have a shads tribute band) i dont really like cliff that much but he did compliment the shadows when they played together, they sound awsome live, pure clearness and power, with no distorsion in sight fantastic, the female singers do ruin this track however

  • those female singers is very annoying ^^ they ruin the song!

  • totally agree with you...great song otherwise..

  • Stunning!

  • "Oh darlin' please say that you love me too and make my dreams come true" <3

  • Pure Classic -

  • very touching song sweet memories brings in the heart just superb

  • Ah back when Cliff was actually good. Shame about those stupid female singers...

  • ahhh thats what cristiano ronaldo does in his spare time

  • Cliff is a great singer. Youtube search for ELVIS ROCK DISCO 45 (Manuel Vargas) and you will see an honoring to the best music of all times.

  • nice video! xD n

  • During his hay days, the 3 solo kings were Tom Jones, Engelbert and himself who croon away evergreens. Of course Elvis is always No:1, but I would rather class Cliff under the 3 solo kings

  • I think this is the earliest Cliff Richard's song that I enjoy.

  • So: Title is Theme for a dream. That helps search

  • This a theme to bring me back to my childhood times, thanks !

  • It is from Lage Raho Munnabhai Pal Pal

  • no lage raho munnabhai are the posers not cliff richard

  • That is correct. I watched the show, and while it was a good song, I much prefer Cliff Richard's version. His is the one true, original.

  • such apolite audience so british!

  • Polite audience!! Man, was waiting for the casket to be wheeled out. Did anyone even snap their fingers?

Whatever, the dude was right there "back in the day".

  • riadna picovina....

  • Cannot agree more!! Cliff Richard and the Shadows...more like it!! That's reason enough for the Reunion Tour..!!! Better late than never !!! The fans are anticipating....and keepin' the fingers crossed..!! Optimism as always !!!

  • this was my nans furnel song

i have only just ot used tu listening it again

as i as soo hurt by her death :(

    r.i.p. nanny we all miss yuh x x x

  • i like Cliff in the 60s [with the Shadows] better than 70s without the Shadows

  • toatally agree, they were the perfect backing band for richards

  • Cliff was the Shadows's singer!

  • Well put!

  • Hope I could see the music video of Cliff's "Regatta Un Granello (Di Sabia).

  • Wow! The original line up.

  • A moving and melodious hit from days gone by! It is amazing to know that this singer was a teenage heartthrob in England before the arrival of the Beatles. Although he could not compete with the Fab Four, who captured the world with a musical bltzkrieg in the 1960's, he remains a legend in his own way, and his contribution to popular music must not be overlooked.

Thank you graciously for posting this memorable hit song by one of the most underrated performers in pop music history!

    SA :-)

  • fair comment.the only place cliff never made it big was the u,s,a as we all know.he did work in france grmany italy japan sweedon ireland austrailia the guy was all over the globe. i love elvis but the man never lft he u,s,a.. cliff is a fab

    the middle of winter?

  • Cliff Richard.

  • I loved this song, but my big fave was Summer Holiday ....I used to drool over this guy (sigh- what an admission)

  • funny how certain people don't go down well in the US, likewise I just discovered the Bobby Fuller Four, they were great but little known in the UK.

  • Great video.

  • im an american and nobody really knows about cliff richard and the shadows over here. what a shame! he's awesome. who would have thought of putting in an Am, D, G, and Bbm chord progression. simply great

  • a good guitar player/and song writer, keep up the practice.

  • In Asia, Sir Cliff is so big and very popular, esp. The Shadows ! Are they still playing in England ? Luv' em !

  • The Shadows had their Final Tour in 2004/2005.

Next year, Cliff will perform a series of concerts in the UK to mark his 50th anniversary

in the showbiz. Incredible, isn't it?

  • Thanks. There's a couple of young rock groups here in NYC

who are trying to be the 2007 Cliff & the Shadows. They're

endless tunes for me. All the Best, RG
